Begin your day with a bike ride along the beach at sunrise. The wind in your hair, you stop for a cup of coffee to watch the sun slowly rise out of the east and the pelicans on the gulf. The fishermen on the beach give you ideas for casting a line tomorrow in the early hours of daybreak .
Riding home you catch a glimpse of dolphins playing off shore and are ready to roll the kids down in the wagon to share this idyllic surf and sand and bring home a few shells from the crystal white beach. Rafts, buckets, beach chairs, umbrella, it's all here for you to relax and enjoy all that “A Beachin Cottage’” has to offer.
Maybe it’s just you and your spouse, special someone, or a girl's weekend at the beach, read the morning paper on the front porch or watch the birds play from the privacy of our back patio.
“A Beachin' Cottage” is our cozy, well-equipped, three-bedroom beach cottage in the Maravilla community of Destin, Florida. Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach, pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, or fitness center this private single-family cottage, on a private lot with a fabulous quiet backyard, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a comfortable family room and a large chef's equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer, dining room, high speed Internet and two car garage are just a few of the additional amenities.
Ceiling fans, colorful rooms, and beautiful new tile floors. 'A Beachin' Cottage takes comfort to a new level. Pillow top king beds in two bedrooms so you have two masters, and a twin, full bunk bed for the kids. Also included is a queen sized sleeper in the family room for those nights when you need just a little more room for your guests.
For those days that you decide a good book fits your schedule we have a complete library of books, tapes and games to fill the agenda. Cable is available along with a Sega Game Gear, several DVD players and full stereo. If you have to spend an hour or so working while on vacation you will have wireless Internet available. And of course who could forget the shopping, fishing, golf, and dining in Destin! A par 3 executive golf course is just across the street, along with many other par 72 courses within minutes of our home. Plus we are just minutes from Destin Commons and Silver Sands Outlet Mall.

Had such a wonderful time in this cottage. It's located at the front of the property which is still a short walk to the beach. All of the rooms were perfectly accommodating and the kitchen was very well-stocked with more than we would ever have needed. We made a point to cook almost every day to save some money and this kitchen made that such an easy thing to do. It was so big and roomy that we weren't always bumping into each other or getting in each other's way. Having the separate dining area was great for family meals and really added an at home type of feeling. While we were there I had a few questions for the owners, who promptly responded and stayed in contact with us about the property and any concerns we had. All of the additional amenities such as the bikes and beach toys made things a lot easier. We did not have to pay additional fees down at the beach for chairs and umbrellas, because we were able to use the ones in the garage down at the beach. We had an amazing time at A Beachin Cottage!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

The Beachin' Cottage was perfect for our family. The house was very clean, kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to prepare several meals on nights we wanted to eat in. I'm glad we went with a cottage vs. a condo because we were able to store all of our sandy beach items in the garage at the end of each day and we had plenty of living space! It's close to lots of resturants, shopping and fun stuff for the kids. Our favorite spot for seafood was Pompano Joes which is directly on the beach and right down the road!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We had such a wonderful stay at Destin. We loved your cottage! Bedrooms were a great size, the two king size beds made the stay that much more pleasant. It is equipped with just about everything we needed! Very private and centrally located close to the strip of restaurants, stores, and entertainment. We stayed for a week in August 2011. Myself, my husband and our 3 year old son. You couldn't ask for a better location in Destin. Close to the outlet malls, walk to the beach, swim in the two onsite pools. Great food and shopping all nearby. The house itself is in pristine condition, clean, updated. Everything we needed was there. The owners were so easy to work with on scheduling and getting in and out of the house. We will be returning this year and can't wait for another week on the beach!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

I went down with my family last summer, and we had a great time. Being within walking distance, and having the wagon!! made it so easy with little kids. This home had everything we needed.
