  What we LOVED: I have been to St. John multiple times over the last few years, and Still Waters is -by far- my favorite place to stay. The owners are helpful and live really nearby, but they're not at all intrusive. The home itself is just that - it feels like you're a resident of the island- not just a visitor. The space is perfectly designed but very comfortable at the same time. No issues with mosquitoes or any other pests. Very clean and very spacious. Comfortable beds and pillows. No issues with AC. They cool down the place really quickly. Great kitchen!! 6 burner range, lots of utensils and cookware. Large living area and great layout to allow for privacy for all bedrooms. Gorgeous patio with incredible views. Location is extremely convenient to restaurants, beaches, etc. but feels secluded. (Make sure you try-- Asolare for a romantic dinner-plan to be there for sunset- and Fatty Crab for great happy hour and amazingly fresh, creative dishes. Sweet Plantains is well worth the drive to Cruz Bay.) Best beaches, IMO, are on the northern side of the island and are only about a 15 minute drive from Still Waters. (Hawksnest and Cinnamon are my favorites.) What I would CHANGE: The most helpful reviews always include some flaws. No place is perfect, and this should help you put things in perspective. The pantry was a bit light on condiments, spices, oils, etc. We like to cook, so we had to pick up quite a few things that would have been lovely stocked in the villa. Also, no tupperware. Can't pack a beach lunch in their gorgeous serving dishes, so we had to stuff everything into ziplocs. Also, the master bedroom could use some better window treatments out to the pool area. If people are outside near the pool and you're showering or dressing in the bedroom, it's a little awkward. End of complaint section. Overall Stay: A

  This was our second time renting Still Waters Villa, and it was even better this time! The new furnishings in the living room are beautiful and comfortable, and we really loved the comfy lounge chairs and umbrella by the pool. The bed in the master bedroom is heavenly, especially with the view of Chocolate Hole from the bed! The villa is very clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the extra touches, like the beach towels, chairs, cookware, etc. The owners are wonderful to work with and were very helpful with every aspect of our trip. I would highly recommend this villa and we will definitely rent Still Waters again. Thanks for a great trip!

  This was our second visit to St. John and Stillwaters Villa. We loved it even more the second time! The luxury accomadations fit our desire to settle into our vacation as quickly as possible with no neighbors on either side. The location offers breathtaking views while enjoying your morning coffee on the deck as well as grilling up steaks and lobster for dinner at sunset. With the pool, we could choose to relax on the sun deck rather than go to a beach. It is an option that we really appreciate. Both first floor bedrooms are fully loaded with king beds, luxurious linens, flat screen TVs, AC and they are far enough apart to provide plenty of privacy. Our son and his girlfriend joined us and never did we incroach on each other's quiet time. The master bath is a treat with a large window overlooking beautiful native plantings and Palm Trees. The living area was very comfortable with two large newly covered sofas and a large chair and ottoman. We utilized the gourmet kitchen more this trip and we were pleased with the convenience. Low Key Watersports provided our snorkel gear as part of our villa rental. We were fitted expertly by the staff and we even saved some money! Ann Marie and Bob carefully and respectfully maintain their property and they are a pleasure to rent from! We will be back next year.

  My boyfriend's family invited me along on their family vacation. The island is amazing and the villa is perfect. Still Waters is just far enough outside of town that you get to feel tranquil but close enough that if you need to pop into town for something you can. The two bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house, providing enough privacy to feel comfortable. The bedrooms have all the amenities you could want, AC, flat screen, cable, very comfortable beds, etc. The living room is beautiful: comfortable couches, nice pillows, beautiful view. The power went out one morning on the whole island, which happens from time to time. Bob was there to put the generator on before we even knew the power was out. There are certainly lots of perks to this villa if you are interested in snorkeling or diving. Ann Marie and Bob have owned the best dive shop on island for the past 30 years. The perk of getting free snorkel gear from a dive shop where they fit you properly is a huge plus!!! It saved us $40 a week per person. Over all fantastic vacation, amazing island, great villa, fantastic owners!

  Our stay at Still Waters was amazing from start to finish! Ann Marie and Bob made things so easy for us from the booking to our entire stay. They made us feel at home and more like old friends than strangers. The villa is well equipped and extremely well kept. There is nothing that we wanted for in the villa. It was so nice to have fluffy beach towels and chairs to take to the beach each day. While we did not do much cooking, the kitchen was fully stocked with high quality amenities. The views from the house are amazing! The proximity to Cruz Bay makes the villa an even better choice. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful villa with great views! We loved every minute of our stay at Still Waters! We are already trying to plan our trip back!

  My wife and I and our 3 teenage daughters recently spent a week at Still Waters and it was fantastic. The house is roomy, beautiful, comfortable and very well designed. The location was great and the view could not be better. Ann Marie and her partner we attentive to our every need from meeting us at the ferry to check out on our last day. An added bonuses were the hundreds of DVD's to watch on the large screen tv's at night and the free use of excellent quality snorkeling equipment from their Low Key Dive shop. All in all a terrific week and we will return again when the opportunity arises. Would also be a perfect house for a few couples together.

  Doug and I absolutely loved our stay at this Villa! The pictures are accurate, the place is updated and roomy. The beautiful view we woke up to every morning was awesome. What a way to start the day! The villa was absolutely spotless, stocked with plenty of clean towels and linens, and nice beach chairs and coolers for our daily trips to the beaches. We did not have to call Ann Marie or Bob for anything. And when the electricity went out on the entire island one afternoon. Bob was up at the villa immediately to start the backup generator. What service! We used the new washer and dryer - we will pack even lighter on our next trip as it was so convenient.

  This was our fifth villa rental on St. John - our favorite Island! We met Ann Marie several years ago and this year we were lucky enough to stay at Still Waters! Everything was exceptional from the way the villa was delivered to us - spotless and I mean spotless - and everything in tip top shape - to the nice flow of the home with beautiful deck and views from every room. It is so obvious from the minute you walk in that this Villa is owned by someone who lives right on the island as we did not have to call once for anything during our stay. We enjoyed the wonderful master bedroom and bath, swimming pool, beautiful views and privacy. It was pre-season so we really enjoyed the airconditioning when it got a bit to hot outside as well. We had access to snokel gear from Low Key, her very cool watersport rental shop in Cruz Bay, which made for fun at the beach. We can't thank Ann Marie enough for making our stay on St. John so special this year and we plan to return to Stillwater again and again. It really was a treat to stay here and the location is perfect for easy access to food shopping, downtown and beaches! Wish we were there right now! M&J

  The villa is as good as described and looks even better in person than in the photos. We were 6 people, including teenagers and had plenty of space. There were lots of amenities for going to the beach and the kitchen is high-end and user friendly at the same time. Very clean, new appliances and the owners are attentive and helpful. We recommend the property highly and hope to be fortunate enough to return. We have been to St. John before, and now can't imagine staying anywhere else.

  This Villa was very comfortable and had very good kitchen and bathrooms. It is a convenient location. A great value. It serves as a great base station to explore the Island. The owners were available and helpful. They helped with arrangements through their Dive shop and addressed any issue we had in our 3 week stay! I recommend it highly.
