Perfect Holiday Get-Away House

My wife, two adult sons and I spent the Christmas week at Stillwater. The house is perfect with all rooms having great views and the kitchen/living room right in the center of the house. Good deck for lounging, eating at a table for 6 and a pool for cooling off. Master bedroom has a great view over the pool to Chocolate Hole. The house is private where you don't hear any noise from neighbors. Also, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Ice chests and beach chairs for the beach. However the best thing about the house are the owners. I booked this house a year ahead and Ann Marie kept in touch with helpful hints. Upon arrival at the St John ferry terminal Bob met us and took us to the car rental and then to the house. Also, one night the power went off during dinner preparation and one call to Bob got him there immediately and he turned on the generator for our restored power. The power outage was island wide and we were one of the few houses to see the lights on. In addition we had a package with Stillwater including three 2-tank dives at their dive shop: Low Key divers. My sons had terrific dives to the wreck of the Rhone, and two other fun dives. The restaurant recommendations from Ann Marie were used and provided great food and venues. Overall a perfect holiday and we highly recommend this house and Low Key divers.

Our family of 3 children and 2 adults stayed at Still Waters in late August, 2011. The minute we walked through the doors we couldn't believe our luck in finding such a great house - the pictures and description of the house are accurate. The views are amazing and the flow of the house was perfect for us. The kids loved the upstairs loft with its charming nooks. We stayed over during a hurricane and even though much of the island was without electricity, the generator was promptly started by the owners so we were never in the dark. We also felt completely safe in the house despite 70 mph winds! Having the owners, Anne Marie and Bob, on the island and literally steps away is invaluable. They were always prompt and personal with any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house.

We (two couples) stayed at Still Waters in Sept, 2011 for 4 nights and very much enjoyed the house and the property (although the steep driveway was quite a challenge!!). The listing description is accurate and the photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities of the property. The decor is beautiful, the house is very private, the pool was perfectly warm and the perfect size for floating and drinking 'adult beverages' at any time of the day. The whole house air conditioning was a plus since it was quite warm outdoors when we were there. There are two owners - Ann Marie, who was very helpful throughout our travel process and a pleasure to work with!! - and Bob, who met us, led us to the property when we arrived and showed us around. Both owners are on island so they can address any needs one may have. We utilized the 2 main bedrooms and did not need the loft space. The beds were very comfy!! (I miss them already!) and there are plenty of linens for any length of stay. (There is a washer & dryer at the house which made our packing lighter much easier - we only brought a few things and laundered them as necessary.) I would definitely recommend this property!!

Just returned from a wonderful week at Still Waters. Our group of 5 included: my husband and I, my brother, his wife and their teenage son. First, we found the house itself to be perfect; the layout--bedrooms separated by the common areas, plus the loft sleeping areas above--provided privacy for all. The deck, pool, outdoor and indoor dinning and fully equipped kitchen made our communal living easy and comfortable. In addition, the beach chairs, coolers, washer and dryer came in very handy. The photos and description on this website are accurate and, if anything, don't do the house justice. Finally, the house was immaculately clean, which was very important to all of us. In terms of Low Key Water Sports--Ann Marie and her staff at the shop were both helpful, friendly and efficient. Our group dealt primarily with Alden and Liz at Low Key, both of whom were a delight and a great help in booking our trip to the BVI and a parasailing outing for 2 of our group. They made recommendations regarding grocery shopping, beach snorkeling, where we could pick up sandwiches, and provided many other helpful hints for our day trips around St John. From our first contact, Ann Marie made the booking process very easy and was always just a phone call away if we had any questions. We had a wonderful week at Still Waters and hope to make a return trip in the near future.

This villa is spectacular! The ocean views are incredible toward Chocolate Hole, the pool is awesome, and the villa itself is fully stocked with everything you could want. We took full advantage of the beach chairs, towels and coolers when we went to Cinnamon Bay, and really enjoyed the pool floats and lounge chairs. The deck is great for relaxing with a cocktail and gazing at the ocean, and we really appreciated the air-conditioning throughout the house - even in January! The bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable, and we loved looking at the stars with the telescope - an unexpected surprise! We even watched a few movies from the extensive DVD collection. The villa is very clean and well-maintained and the pictures don't really do it justice. We would definitely return to this beautiful home and would recommend it to anyone!
