A truly wonderful home to spend your vacation in. Located North of Sturgeon Bay on scenic Glidden Drive. The house is hidden in the woods providing privacy and a "get away from it all" feeling. Across the street from the sandy shores of Lake Michigan with beach access rights only a few steps up the road in either direction. The house itself is charming and has been tastefully decorated. Each room has it's own decor and you will find an eclectic mix of both modern and antique.
The great room combines the spacious kitchen with center island, game table area, living room with wood burning fireplace and dining room boasting a table large enough to comfortably seat ten or twelve.
The kitchen has been updated, with center island and nice appliances. The kitchen is stocked with all conveniences, small appliances, dishes, pots and pans, glasses and utensils. There should be no need to bring anything from home. It is all here for you to use.
Home features also include a comfortable three-season porch, furnished with a sitting area of white wicker and an additional small dining area. Beautiful setting overlooking the woods and outside patio.
Three spacious tastefully furnished bedrooms. Bedroom one boasts a king size bed and walkout to outdoor patio. Bedrooms two and three include queen size beds, one with sliding glass doors to a balcony and the other and with computer desk and color printer. Home includes high speed WiFi so bring your laptop if you can't leave it at home. The day bed and trundle are located in the loft at the top of the stairs, perfect for the kids.
Two newly renovated bathrooms (one on each level) with showers, updated fixtures and natural tile are bright and cheery.
Sturgeon Bay offers everything a small city can offer from grocery stores to museums. You can launch your boat in Sturgeon Bay and have your choice of fishing the harbor, the bay side (Green Bay) or the lake side (Lake Michigan). Or if you prefer, a public boat launch is only a couple of miles from the home.
The little towns of Door County (Bailey's Harbor, Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Ephraim, Sister Bay) are short car rides away. Each town has it's own flair of shopping, beaches, sight-seeing, dining, and more.
State and County Parks are plentiful, as well as golf courses and water activities. Many art galleries and wineries can be found in any direction. Kid-friendly activities including miniature golf, ice cream and an outdoor theatre. Door County guides, booklets and "things to do" have been left in the home for you to use and explore.
