  We stayed here one week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ground floor oceanfront location was perfect and a short walk to town and just a few steps into the ocean. It's a grand place to watch the ocean, turtles and boogie boarders/surfers. The unit is very clean and beautifully remodeled with central airconditioning (if you need it). The bed was comfy and the kitchen was great. The complex grounds, salt water pool, jacuzzi and BBQ area were truly immaculate. Free wifi and convenient free covered parking were a big plus. Be sure to visit the local farmer's market for wonderful tropical fruits and reasonably priced Kona coffee. We'd love to come back again.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

  We have stayed in this wonderful oceanfront condo a couple times in the past couple years as have some other family members. We will keep coming back as the unit is impeccable and the Kona Reef location is the best in the Kona area without a doubt. With the Reef just out from the condo there is always something to view from, dolphins, turtles, whales (in season), flying fish, tour boats, surfers, snorkellers, parasailers, the odd yacht and off course the exquisite sunsets! The photos do not lie like the odd accommodation you run across in some web searches. The hosts are easy to deal with and very accommodating to your individual requests. You could almost get by without a car from Kona Reef but then you wouldn't see some of the 11 of 13 "Climate Zones in the World" the Big Island promo bosts about. Restaurants and amenities are all a short walk from this condo and the choice of Cuisines are varied and plentiful. Not sure when we will return to the Big Island but it will be soon.   This is a wonderful condo! It is located right on the water. We sat on the lanai every morning and enjoyed the view and Kona coffee. All the furnishings were top notch and upscale except for the cheap coffeemaker! The king size bed was comfortable too. Everything was wonderful except the tv was not as advertised. Apparently another guest had broken it. But when I said the remote to the tv was missing someone came right over to replace it and get the tv working. We enjoyed the central air as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We were walking distance to town so no driving after enjoying Mai Tai's or Koina Brewing Company! Great pool and BBQ's We look forward to staying here again!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  We stayed in this condo for a week in January 2010, and had a wonderful experience. The condo is beautifully remodeled, clean, and comfortable. The condo is within a ten minute walk of the shops and restaurants in Kona, but is tucked away from the main drag of Ali'i Drive so it is very quiet and peaceful. We spent every morning watching the dolphins play, and every evening watching the sunset (with pina colodas - compliment from the condo's blender) on the lanai. I would definitely stay at this condo for our next trip to the Big Island.

  This unit is fantastic. If you are looking for a beach front condo that is not the 'stock' Hawaii condo - this is it. Decor is beautiful and furniture is comfortable. Location is terrific and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We never tired of watching the surfers while sitting on the lanai. I think the only improvement I could think of is to have boogie boards and a cooler available in the unit. We had a great time. Thanks!

  What a fantastic location!! We've stayed at many locations in Kona and just loved this spot! Lots of time on the oceanfront lanai watching the spinners (and whales one day) go by. We'd definitely go back!!

  This is one of the nicest condos ever...The pictures do not come close to delivering the feel and beauty of this designer remodel. Just paradise!!! In fact we will be moving to Hawaii in a couple of years to build a home and are planning to use many of the ideas from this unit. We video taped every detail. This is a real steal for the money.If you can possibly afford an increase of the $20 or $30 dollars a night it will cost you over other units in the complex, It is so worth it. We have stayed in 3 others, not even close...And they are telling the absolute truth about the beach being right out your door. We woke up to surfers daily. We ate almost every meal out on the lanai. The pool and spa are very clean and well maintained too. You could spend your whole vacation right on the complex..Aloha The Steins

  We loved this condo. We have stayed in this building twice now and this beautifully renovated unit was perfect for us. Yards from the ocean we loved watching the surfers and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Away from Alii Drive we only heard the ocean surf. Only thing missing was a TV in the Bedroom. Very comfortable Bed!
