Nestled adajacent the U.S. Forest Service land that surrounds Lake Hiwassee is 2400 sq ft of relaxation waiting for you! Enjoy the endless mountain views while sitting in your rocking chair on the wrap around covered porch, or be adventurous and go hiking on several of the scenic Nantahala Mountain trails filled with wildlife and waterfalls. Catch a glimpse of the wild turkeys, grouse, and deer that meander through the area.
It's a 10 minute drive to Lake Hiwassee and Bear Paw Marina where you can rent a boat(or drop in your own) and go tubing, water skiing, and swimming. It's only 15 minutes to downtown Murphy where you can go antiquing, shopping or out to eat. If you like to fish, this is the place to be, including trophy trout fishing rivers and streams. Ask us if you need a guide.
Other local activities include: white watering rafting on the Ocoee & Natahala Rivers, Horseback riding, Four wheeling, Golf, Tennis, Biking.

OK, so we are reluctant to write this review… ONLY BECAUSE we want this place to remain Undiscovered! Sure that is TOTALLY selfish, but we want to be able to book this property when we want. If you know how great this place is, it will be booked solid forever… which hurts our chances to return. That being said these owners deserve a huge amount of praise. They have one of the best properties we have ever visited. The view from there back deck is clearly a Million Dollar view. My wife & I sat on the deck and just marveled at the fabulous view which only added to the peace and tranquility of our stay. The house has anything you could ask for, plenty of space, great amenities and quiet location. We definitely plan to return….if it is available!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cabin in Murphy, NC. It had plenty of room for our family. The cabin is beautiful and better than described. The view is amazing. Waking up each day and seeing the sun come up from behind the mountains was amazing! The owners are flexible and great to work with. The area is very nice with lots of trails. Not far away is a beautiful set of waterfalls. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers.
