Exactly as advertised. Not luxurious, but clean with a great location. Two of us were there to play baseball, so for the two of us the accommodations matched our needs. Unlike another post that I read, I was able to access free wi fi.

If you are looking for a spacious studio in a great location with friendly people and attentive staff, this is the place. The ground floor studio has a comfortable bed, couch, chair and dining table and an enclosed patio with a door that leads to the pool. There is no view but we knew this before we rented. We also knew we'd have to do our own housekeeping for the week. We saw other people switching out room towels and getting basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towel and soap. I'm not sure if that service applies to private rental situations or not because the apartment was sufficiently set when we arrived. One thing to be aware of is the WiFi/Internet is not "free" anywhere in the towers, You can pay a daily rate or $.35 a minute, which is fair enough. Isla verde is the quieter side of the island and the ESJ is located right next door to the El San Juan Hotel. La Playita to the right has a delicious $7.00 burger for lunch and El Alambique to the left has great everything in a laid back beach front bar atmosphere. The protected beaches are beautiful and just a 10-15 minute drive, as are the $2.00 pinchos and $3.00 pina coladas made by the locals. ESJ is not a huge, fancy resort and the apartment is dated, but it IS well maintained and offers all the basic amenities you need for a DIYS vacation. And, the free covered parking and daily pool bingo are definite pluses!

Our family of 4 stayed at this studio apartment in April 2011. It fulfilled our expectations and we are very satisfied with our stay. The Listing is accurately posted on the website. The apartment is very clean with fresh linens. The kitchennette is sufficient with cookware & kitchen-ware. It is perfect for a couple, but was sufficent for 4 as we had a double bed, large sleeper sofa & there was a cot in the closet. It is near the pool area and has its own reserved parking space. The pool is very large, well-maintained and has a large jacuzzi. The ESJ building is an excellent facility with beachfront access on Isla Verde, which is gorgeous: white sand & blue-green water. The lobby is spacious & beautiful with side rooms for billiards/pool, card-playing & a video game room that was popular with our teens. The property is well-maintained and security provides a safe atmosphere. The Concierge staff is very helpful & knows the area well. We were in short walking distances to several restaurants, a favorite of which is Metropol, an authentic Cuban restaurant. It was excellent food. the San Juan Hotel is next door to ESJ and has nightlife such a casino, lobby latin music on specific nights & great restaurants. We did the BioBay excursion to Mosquito Bay in Vieques Island. East Island Excursion Company picked us up at ESJ & we had a great time. Clearly, ESJ is a well-known facility in PR. Overall, a fantastic stay, would recommend to friends/family & would return! We are appreciative of the owners.

First the positives. The location was great, the hotel staff very friendly and responsive. However this unit was not what we expected. When we arrived the room had not been properly cleaned. There was sand in the tub and a cup with cigarette buts on the patio. The owner had informed me he would be out of town but to call with any issues. we called, left a message and never heard back for the full 5 days. Also the description and pictures are deceiving, there is not direct pool acess. The patio is walled in and the door locked to the pool area. No view, no direct acess. The towel situation is also apalling. You need to "steal" towels from the pool or gym for the room. We had friends also staying in the towers and they had very lovely units and attentive owners. I would recommend ESJ Towers for the cost and location but not this unit or owner.

Every time I emailed the owner he acted like it was the first email he received even after mailing a deposit not very professional. I would not recommend this property for more then two people the sofa bed is worthless. Took the mattress out and sleep on the floor worried about the creepy crawler friends though. Was very disappointed when we arrived, place was not cleaned so we left and stayed elsewhere for the night came back during the day started to clean it myself then the owner called and the room was cleaned. Asked for a refund for the night but was pretty much blown off. Still waiting. Would not stay there again.

we had a fantastic trip to say the least. the condo was very reasonably priced and the location was amazing! minutes from the beach. it is a great place to stay at. the people were all friendly. Robert was easy to get ahold of and he helped us out with our little AC incident ASAP. The room was clean when we got there, I would recommend that you ask for extra sheets if staying longer than 4 days. definitely bring towels. even though you could get them from the fitness center, as girls, we went through towels like crazy. the sofa bed was somewhat broken, we put pillows underneath the mattress. other than that, we had a fantastic stay and plan on visiting again!

We enjoyed our stay at ESJ and would recommend anyone renting from Robert. He was very easy to get in touch with. The room was clean and nice. The only items that were missing that were listed under kitchen were the washing machine and dryer. This was a little disappointing since we were traveling with teenagers. The employees at ESJ were fantastic and very friendly! We loved the mini market. I would recommend renting this apartment.

Owner response:Thanks babbete for your response but yes there are wash machine and dryer in the Hotel Premises as we stated but we never told was in the room. at the Hotel is never a wash Machine in the rooms but yes they are at the Hotel Premises for a >50 cents per cleaning anyway Im glad you enjoy your fantastic stay at our room and enjoy the Beach ,pool and all the Night Life you can count on us on your next stay Thanks

Just returned this evening from my stay at this wonderful ESJ condo. It was great! Pool right outside back door. Just a few minutes walk to beach. Everyone at ESJ was very nice and helpful. Condo was very clean, and was perfect for my stay. There is a great supermarket, Pueblo market, just a few minutes walk from the ESJ towers. A few minutes walk to the casino next door. Several good restaurants within walking distance. If you rent a car, all parking is in covered parking decks. And a great and reasonably priced mini market in the lobby. And they had everything you could want. This place was just so convenient. Last, but not least, dealing with Robert was great. He is very nice. I called him a few times with questions, and he was very great about answering questions and helping me transfer the payment to him. Highly reccomend this owner and this condo!!

We were familiar with ESJ Towers as we had previously stayed there on a time share exchange in 2005, but I must admit that I was hesitant making reservations online with a private owner. Transaction real secure with this trusted renter at the begining we dont trust the transaction and we call the Hotel and they give us the correct info that the renter was the original owner of room 165 and we decide to send payment everything as stated in the website great hotel at almost 50% less of what we will pay for the same room if we rented this directly from the Hotel the taxes and resort fee if you rent thurue the hotel is a 25% so we really save over 50% from the best rate at the Hotel we really love the room either if their was no view we were happy because we have high speed internet in the room also we have a direct access to the wonderful pool at the resort and the best beach in Puerto Rico with the el San Juan Hotel and Casino on walking distance where rooms comes for more than $400 a night and we were sharing the same beach with water sports I really love my stay at this room and the renter was really responsable .We have a small issue at the time when we get to the room and at a fast response from the renter when we call his cel phone everything was resolved in less than 15 minutes its a really reliable person 100% guarantee
