We`ve stayed at this property for three years and regard it as a second home. It`s comfortable, clean, bright and airy. It`s on the top floor, so a few stairs are necessary. We`re in our 60`s and find it no problem. There are three spacious lanais with great views over, variously, the tennis courts, a pool and a golf course. There`s lots to cook with, a big fridge, a good dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer as well as ample towels and linens. The owner is always available to answer questions and is most helpful. We look forward to our return and would recommend the property without hesitation. The television is modest but the DVD library is excelent. Family members come to visit and enjoy the condo. It`s a great value.

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Kailua-Kona enjoying the consistently good scuba diving. This was our second stay at this condo. Kanaloa is a well maintained gated condo community. There are numerous swimming pools, spas, tennis courts and gas bbqs. This top floor condo is very private, clean, and quiet with a nice covered lanai and wireless internet access. The location of this condo is an easy drive to downtown Kona and the Honokohau small boat harbor but just far enough away to be very peaceful.

We would like to thank Nancie and Don for providing a nice condo for us to stay at and at a good price. We were in Kona for 2 1/2 months and enjoyed their condo and its facilities during this time. Good kitchen and appliances, good barbecue area, nice clean bathrooms, good scenery, clean condo and definitely comfortable for our long stay. Home away from home. Don and Nancie were always just a phone call away and helped us whenever we needed anything and the staff and security at Kanaloa at Kona were professional and helpful. A rocky beach was just a couple minute walk from our condo and allowed for boogie boarding, fishing and ok snorkeling. Great snorkeling was a short drive away in both directions. This property would have gotten 5 stars out of us but unfortunately, the noise created in the daytime from the gardener's machines clipping the trees and cleaning the property was annoying at times. This place does have some amazing plants, flowers and trees, but it comes at a price since gardeners are required to constantly work on them during the weekdays and that can cause noise. If they every change over to electric equipment instead of gas, this can dramatically help and turn it in to a 5 star excellent rating from us. Also, during our stay, the winds were carrying the VOG over to our area, so there were not a lot of clear afternoons but, we did see a lot of clear mornings. From others we spoke with in this complex, it usually wasn't like that but the winds at the time were just happening to blow the volcanic gases in that direction. The condo was wonderful. Everything was comfortable (including memory foam pillows!) and neat as a pin. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed in the master bedroom (a huge bonus for us - we have trouble sleeping away from home). The grounds are beautiful and the guard staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We plan on visiting again next year and hope the condo is available at that time.

We had the pleasure of staying at this location during our two week stay on the Big Island, and we could not be happier with our choice. The condo was clean, spacious and well-maintained, with lots of amenities and personal touches that made it feel like home. I highly recommend this rental to anyone staying in Kona, as my wife and I plan on staying here again on our next visit to the Big Island!

Our family has been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for more than 25 years. This is the nicest condominium we have ever stayed in. It is clean, bright, well equipped and extremely spacious. We love the place. It quickly becames our "home away from home". Don and Nancie are wonderful people -both hospitable and helpful. Mahalo.

It was a great place to homebase for exploring The Big Island. Our four year old thought she was in Heaven- Beach in the moring, Pool in the afternoon. What could be better? This was even better than the pictures.Sunset from the private master lanai,close to the beach, tennis etc. Nicely furnished and has everything you could want or need for a great vacation.

Mahalo, We had a superb week here. It was so great to be out all day and come back to a "home". The property itself is beautiful , love the pool overlooking the ocean and our lanais received a heavy workout.

We stayed in the condo last summer with our 6 years old daughter. The unit was gorgeous and we enjoyed staying there. Farmers market nearby was a great experience. All the furnishing is good quality. My wife is wanting to go back this summer again instead of visiting other island because of this place.

We just returned from a fabulous vacation to Kona and can't say enough about the beautiful Kanaloa at Kona complex and unit #405. It is by far the best resort my family and I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The condo was huge, beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything we could have asked for. The grounds of the complex are immaculate and we had great fun exploring all the areas surrounding them. The big island has so much to offer and we just needed more time to see it. This was by far the best family vacation so far and I am positive we will be returning, just not soon enough for me. Thanks Don and Nancy for such a wonderful holiday.
