The house was perfect for our family. We had 2 adults, 3 children (9, 10, 13) and 2 large dogs with us and still had plenty of room in the house. It was well stocked with toilet paper, towels and condiments. The outdoor living space was excellent and a joy to have. The location is great! At first we thought it was weird driving down this back road, but then you come up to this cute cottage and its perfect. The stream under the deck was perfect for the kids and dogs. We walked to downtown every day, in minutes. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy this home again. Thank you for letting us stay there.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin and the surrounding property turned out to be everything we expected! Although very convenient to everything in Helen, this property feels totally secluded. Everything we could possibly need was considered and provided by the owners and we had a relaxing time. I'd highly recommend this cabin rental and will most likely visit again soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

i took my mother,my aunt, and my 2 sisters with me to your cabin. we usually go on a little mini vacation every september. had been awhile since all of us had been to mountains so we decided to go to helen. found your cabin and thought it would be the perfect place for mama an all to enjoy. and enjoy we did.the next morning we got up and just lazied around until after lunch when we left to go exploring. had a great time loved your cabin. my sisters and i enjoyed the main deck even when we would get back from our day of exploring we would sit out there until late just talking, drinking coffee and having a good time. we explored the woods around and even took mama and our aunt on a horse buggy ride. you can bet that when we start to plan another vacation we will look into your place again. i hope to get the chance to bring grandchildren up there sometime i know they would love it. thanks again for a memorable stay. i have a friend that is looking to go to helen and will definately give her a heads up to your cabin. the location was great the nights were peaceful. the only thing that was a bummer was that we didn't stay long enough. next time i think we will add an extra night.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Helen has been our summer vacation destination several times in the past decade, and though we've stayed at hotels, rented other cabins, and camped in Unicoi State Park, this cabin has been our lodging of choice for our last three visits. The price is great, it's pet-friendly, and it's everything it says it is. We've rented other cabins that were just as nice but more expensive, and just as secluded, but miles from downtown Helen, instead of within walking distance, as this one is. Once we get to this cabin in Helen, we park our vehicle and don't drive again until it's time to leave. Betty's Market and the liquor store are only a couple of blocks away, and all of downtown Helen is within walking distance. But when you're at this cabin, you feel like you're miles away in the mountains. It's quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, with no sounds of traffic or crowds, even though everything is very close. And because it's very secluded and not on any of the main roads, it's perfect for our dogs, who we can walk outside without worrying about them running into traffic or crowds of people. By now they know where we're going as soon as we get near Helen and are just excited as we are to get back to our cabin retreat in one of our very favorite places in the whole world! The owners are very accommodating and see that there's everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Our family loves to play cards and board games and grill steaks, burgers and bratwursts from Betty's Market on the back decks while listening to the gurgle of the babbling brook that runs through the property. My brother's 9-year-old grandson came with us this latest visit, and as he and I are the early risers in the family, we did an early morning trek to Betty's Market, which opens at 7 a.m., every morning to get "supplies" which included his favorite candy from the old-fashioned candy stocked there. This cabin is truly a remarkable place to enjoy all that Helen has to offer, the great restaurants, shops, beer, tubing, magnificent mountain scenery, etc. Rent this cabin and you'll fall in love with it too, the magical spell of Helen and the mountains will catch you up and you'll feel you've stumbled into a fairyland of a place reminiscent of the village that only comes to life once every 100 years in the movie "Brigadoon." We can't get enough of it, and as always, vacation time goes way too fast, and when it's time to leave, we're already planning our next visit!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

As you know, we extended our stay in Helen, GA because we enjoyed it so much. Easy communication with you was very helpful. The cabin is very comfortable and is furnished with all conveniences, well thought out use of space and exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the town of Helen and Unicoi State Park is as described and is an excellent feature. We took many walks with the dogs, hiked on the trails several times and took a self guided pottery tour among other things. By the way, the food at the Unicoi State Park Lodge is great and gave us a chance to meet some locals. Hope to have the opportunity to stay in your cabin againDid you find this review helpful? Jeanne and I would again like to thank you for the use of your cabin in Helen. We all had a wonderful week. Dolly adapted well but she almost always does anywhere we go. The cabin was cozy and much more than adequate. There was so much foliage that we thought it was bedtime at 5pm. I must have walked to town no less than 15 times. The beer and the food was good! Just a great time!!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a fabulous time at your cabin. The accommodations were better than I expected and the stackable washer and dryer work wonderfully. You have a very nice place. Actually, I would like to return for a long weekend with friends if thats possible. The tubing was my favorite. I went everyday except one and went 3 times on Saturday. Its addictive and I had a blast.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor spaces, especially the upper deck and creek. It is a great place for both morning coffee and afternoon drinks. The location of your cabin is also very convenient. We were able to walk to town and to walk to the restaurants. This was a great help when the traffic became congested on SaturdayDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
