  This place was awesome. Very much enjoyed my week stay - we had plans to go out but found ourselves loving every minute just hanging out enjoying the view - dolphins, surfers - the great neighborhood vibe. Owners was really great too - he gave us a tour to help understand all the fancy lighting and fireplaces. I am already planning to rent it for my annual girls weekend trip!

  I want to tell you how much my family enjoyed this property. It started with excellent communication with the manager. The house was as advertised: clean, updated, modern. The ocean views are absolutely stunning/breathtaking. We planned to do a lot of activities like the S.D. Wildlife Park, but we never did because we had a hard time leaving the house. We ate every meal there. (Which is odd for us because we tend to eat out a lot on vacation.) I highly recommend the Whole Foods in Encinitas for grocery. And the coffee shops on the Coast Highway are cool. Other than that, we just didn't see the need to leave. My family does surf, which explains a lot. This is a great surf location - far enough from the public parking lot to keep the "line-up" pretty small. Still, if you don't surf, it's still fun to watch the surfers and take beach walks. (Really good surfers when we were there but the swell was up.) We found the beach to be very interesting with the high cliff wall backgrounds. We found a lot of cool shells. Take note that there are over 100 stairs to the beach. It really didn't bother us, although my family and I are a bunch of jocks. You really don't need to be "beach rats" to enjoy it. There are TV's everwhere (although TV is not our thing, we did cram into the Zen room one night to watch, "Gone with the Wind.") The Hot tub is clean and there is a warm outdoor shower to get the sand off you from the side of the house. It was great to unhook, read, play games, and relax.

  Amazing home with unbeatable sunsets. Very modern decor. Stayed for one week with my wife, our two daughters ages 6 and 2. Also father and mother-in law came as well. Plenty of space for everyone, in-laws had seperate area with their own kitchen. Close to great shops, restaurants, owners have a book with some recommended places. Also, try the cineopolis theatre about 10 mins away for a great movie night on luxury recliners with food brought to you. Quick 20min drive to old town, seaport village. 5 min drive to legoland. Best part of home aside from the great views was being able to walk down the stairs off back patio to the beach. Kids loved it, we loved it, highly recommend this home. Owners very responsive to any questions or concerns. For those with toddlers, FYI there are a few short staircases in the house. Wasnt a problem, just didnt see that in the photos.

  The home is terrific and the homeowners were super helpful in coordinating all the details. Family visit with the parents who did not want to return back to Arizona they enjoyed the visit so much. This home has absolutely everything you would possibly need during your stay and is well appointed with the latest/greatest in-home technology to set lighting, temperature, etc. Home is located in an ideal location. There is a very thoughtful notebook that shares over loads of helpful information on shopping, dining, grocery stores, things to do, etc. The home is just up the hill from a wonderful fresh market store. Loads of local cafes and there is lots of surfing in the evenings/mornings for you to enjoy directly or just admire the talents of others. There are stairs up to the house from the beach, but I actually enjoyed being up on the hill (better panoramic views) and the stairs were a great work out for my girlish figure. Actually picked up a surf board made locally in Encinitas (goto Surfy Surfy – they will get you all setup ;-) and have really enjoyed this. Actually grew up in Encinitas and was very pleased that it has retained all of its charm. Saving my pennies so that someday I might be able to pick up a parcel on this lovely street. Again, thanks for making your lovely home available to my family. Will look to book again next year if it is available. Cheers!

  We recently stayed at this property for a week and just feel in love with it. Absolutely gorgeous with breathtaking views. Very clean and comfortable, everything we needed was there. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this property and will defiantly rent from again!

  Everything about renting this property was smooth and convenient. Having never rented a vacation property before, we were very apprehensive but our experience at this house was excellent! We rented it for a short period in December , 2011. The sights are spectacular with never ending, panoramic views. The house is in excellent condition with top of the line amenities: hot tub, upgraded bathrooms, automated lights and climate control. Linens and dishes were clean and per the rental agreement. The renter was very responsive to all our questions. here was ample space for 3 cars although we only used 2 spaces. The outdoor space is very well planned with different seating areas. The private access to the beach is convenient.The neighborhood is very quiet and perfect for a getaway. This would definitely be our first choie if we decided to rent again.

  This was our family's fifth and, by far, best experience with beachfront property rentals. There are many aspects to comment on: exceptionally well maintained property (e.g., very clean and "no" moldy smell common to beach rentals, well accessorized, fresh hard/soft finishes, well decorated, mechanicals in top condition, etc), impressive interior and exterior (photos shown are only a sampling, top quality materials and workmanship), views (truly panoramic (neighboring properties are set back further (i.e., indeed 180 degree views of the ocean with no peripheral distrations), access (easy to get to/from either San Diego or Los Angeles or Las Vegas in our case, private beach access situated halfway between public beaches so very private areas with great surf), activities (many available such as Wild Life Park, Jet Ski, San Diego Zoo, Lego land, local shops within walking distance, etc but you won't want to leave), and the staff (always available or with quick call back and action plan, every need/desire attended to promptly as any 5 Star hotel, very sensitive to creating a personalized experience while operating discretely in the background).
