  This is a wonderful casita. Perfect for two people and dogs. Owners very hospitable and provide access to a beatiful hot tub deck area. The casita has a well equiped kitchen for dinning in. The TV and speaker system is beyond compare. The men will love it! Very private outside yard area, fenced for dogs and area beyond fence is off leash walking area for dogs. Very close to everything you want in Santa Fe. Book it for your next trip to Santa Fe.

  We enjoyed our trip so much we recommend the casita to anyone staying in Sante Fe, The casita is close to everything, yet tucked away enough for a peaceful retreat. The Casita is clean and welcoming, feels like home. My husband had a bottle each of water waiting for us. A very nice alterative to hotels.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The pictures really do not do the casita justice. It is an extremely nice, large and comfortable space. Plenty of room to spread out, cook, chill out and have fun. The back yard is perfect for your dogs and there is a great "wash" right out back to walk them down and let them run. Downtown Santa Fe is not walking distance (~3.5 miles) but it is really quick drive. There are also numerous day hikes several miles away. We enjoyed Atalaya Mountain and Chamisa Trail, both of which are dog friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful retreat. The owners are extremely friendly and kind.

  We stayed at Casita Tecolote for two weeks in April, 2010. The casita is lovely, well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking dinners and eating at the dining table, which is nicely set up with placemats and cloth napkins. The living area is very nice and cozy and has a sofa and a loveseat so you can stretch our and read, surf the internet (wireless included) or watch TV. Our dog, Lucky, also loved the casita, as well as the very spacious backyard where he could run and play--sometimes alone, sometimes with Laura and Chewy, the owner's dogs. At the back gate is an arroyo, where you can walk with your dog for hours. We explored and played there almost everyday. The location is great--very quiet, and the stars at night are simply amazing. If you want to go into town, it's a very quick and easy drive. We enjoyed being able to hang out on the square and return to the quiet of our casita in the evening. Jeanette and Matt, the owners, are terrific. They will be there in an instant if you need anything, but will leave you alone otherwise. We highly recommend this casita, and know we will be back ourselves in the future.

  This has been a wonderful place for us to stay. Every morning as I head out to town, a lovely view of the mountains greats me. The large yard, has a gate down to a long arroyo, where I have enjoyed sunset walks. My two dogs have been safe and happy. The bird song in the morning is unsuppassed! All that : a warm and accomodating lodging, and one of the finest families in a great neighborhood. 'Me Casa Es Su Casa' - rings true here.

  Matt and Jeannette have put together a wonderful cozy casita for your stay. There are a lot of personal touches, real towels, quiet calming music when we walked in the door, toys for our son and treats for our dog. They have a huge beautifully fenced in yard for a dog to run around in. This is a perfect place for someone who wants to stay in a quiet neighborhood with a "country" setting. Thank you Matt and Jeannette, we will see you the next time we come to Santa Fe.
