Perfect lodging for a group ski trip to Steamboat

I just got back from my group ski trip to Steamboat. My group was 17 people and we stayed in this unit (Phoenix #212) and couldn't have been happier with our selection. The accommodations were exactly as described, fitting all of us comfortably. Unit was clean, comfy beds, spacious common area, modern kitchen, bbq grill, etc. The condo was just a 1 block walk to the Gondola, which made getting to the lifts very easy. The heated pool and hot tubs were perfect for relaxing after a great day of skiing. Owner was very easy to deal with and was always quick to reply to my emails. I highly recommend this unit and will definitely try to reserve it again when I make it back to Steamboat. Other recommendations that I can make based on my Steamboat trip: Strawberry Hot Springs (at night), rentals from Gondola Square (good rates, free overnight storage of skis, $4 for boots), City Market for groceries, and Mazzola's for great Italian food.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week at 212 Phoenix in late February and had a great time. The condo is very roomy and in great shape. The condo is close to the slopes. At the end of the day you can ski back to a spot just across the street from the complex. The free shuttle bus was great for getting you around town (so you really do not need a car). I highly recommend this condo to anyone planning a ski trip to Steamboat.

We had a wonderful stay here at The Phoenix This condo is closest to the hot tub and outdoor heated pool. Also very convenient to the slopes. WE met up 3 families total and had plenty of room. The 7 kids loved the top floor with multiple sleeping choices! There is internet access, slippers at the door, a long coat rack and bench with boot/shoe storage underneath. Close enough for young kids to walk to and from the slopes. Jane was a huge help and made us feel welcomed in her home. When we return we plan on renting from her again. Also in the garage there are sleds to use. Hard to leave after a 5 night stay! Would highly recommend this place

This condo was amazing. We were a group of 10 college students who normally live on the cheap, however Jane gave us a great deal and as a result we felt like were living like Kings. The condo was spacious, clean, and best of all extremely close to the slopes. The Phoenix facilities were also fantastic. The large hot tubs with towels provided, made our stay incredibly nice and convenient. Jane was great to work with and also quick to respond to any issues that arose throughout the rental process. I would highly suggest this or any of her others properties to those who are interested.

This is a beautiful and spacious condo in a wonderful location in Steamboat. We were able to walk to ski. Shopping very close by. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were absolutely fantastic. We had a wonderful week there with our kids. No one ever felt crowded. There's a great entry way with lots of room to take off boots and store them, hang coats, leave hats, gloves. Made it very convenient and kept kids items well organized. The owner leaves a box of slippers for use--what a nice touch! The kitchen is well stocked and we were easily able to cook and serve Thanksgiving dinner without needing anything. The linens and dishes were lovely quality. The owner made this a nice experience and we would love to stay again. Thanks!!!

WOW! Our condo and our owner were the bomb. It was absolutely perfect for our group. The kids hit the upstairs with the bunks and their own space and loved it. They all kept telling us how awesome the condo was, which made our trip even better. As for the adults, we thought it was great as well. Everything you need was provided in the condo! It was so close to the slopes we could walk to ski/board school, the free concerts and shopping! We all enjoyed our trip so much and the skiing was totally crazy good. We had every condition imaginable when we were there. The folks there were very nice and our favorite restaurant ended up being the Shack downtown. What a great place to eat. The springs were also really fun. Our two little ones did snow angels in their swimsuits and the whole place was in awe of them.Loved it

Great place for our group of 11. We enjoyed having all 5 kids upstairs in the bunk room with their own TV. It gave the 6 adults ample room to relax in the living room. Every one liked the pool and hot tubs. We chose to walk to slopes and ski back. Very close, even for 5 year olds. Not the Ritz, but a great value, clean, and close.

We had a group of 12 adults stay here for 3 nights and we did not feel cramped at all. The condo was a lot bigger than I expected and it was really nice. To get to the gondola its just a very short walk across the street and when you're done skiing the sauna and hot tub feel amazing. There is also a garage that you can fit one car in and/or use it to store your skis and boards. I would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 6 adults stayed for 2 nights for an early family Christmas get-together, and it was wonderful. The ski conditions were great and we had only to cross the street to the gondola. Non-skiers were happy in front of the cozy fireplace enjoying the view outside. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware & servingware for our gourmet Christmas dinner with groceries from nearby Safeway. Size, cleanliness, location, decor, amenities were all great. Owner very pleasant. We would love to return some day.

WE spent a couple of nights at the gorgeous condo and had a ball. There were 7 of us and we could spread out in the unit. It was fun watching the snow and seeing the beautiful trees across the street with the white twinkling lights. We fixed breakfast and had Italian food delivered to the condo. What a wonderful time we had!!Can't wait to go back!!

This comfortable condo was ideal for our ladies weekend getaway. We relaxed in the hot tubs and enjoyed cooking breakfast together. The 1 block walk to the free bus service was very convient so we could enjoy our evening glasses of wine!

We had a great stay at this condo. Perfect for multiple families with kids using the "dorm room" on the 3rd floor. The location was great and the accomodations were perfect. One of our boys indicated that it was like being at home in a much better location.

Loved the condo. We had 17 people and it was ideal for that many people. The third floor is perfect for kids. They too loved the condo with all the amenities. The office managers are very accomodating and pleasant. We have rented in Steamboat for 7 years now and have yet to find a place with as many amenities and easy access to Ski Town. Should we have as big a group next year, we will definantly want to stay in this condo again.

THANK YOU THANKYOU THANK YOU! YOUr place was everything we wanted in a vacation home. Our two families fit in your unit so comfortably and everyone enjoyed the vacation. Loved your location and we ended up cooking in most nights and hung out together in the living room. We were so comfortable and tired after skiing there was no reason to leave the condo. We plan on returning next year, same time!

The place was just right, it was able to hold 12 adults and 3 childern very easily. It was a very easy stroll to the slopes and also to place to eat in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Steamboat Springs.

This place was everything we needed and more! It was well appointed with comfortable bedding, furniture and plenty of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery etc. for our large group. The layout is ideal for large groups: a one bed/bath self-contained room downstairs; two bedrooms, living area and a kitchen on the main level; and an upstairs bunk room for the kids -plenty of places to hang out and escape to. The location was perfect, with only a 5 minute walk across the street and to the Gondola. The owner is incredibly helpful and it was a pleasure renting from her. We would recommend this condo without hesitation and will definitely stay there the next time we are in Steamboat. Thanks for helping us have a great vacation!
