'Le Grenier à Blé' is a former grain store for the neighboring watermill.
Completed in November '07, the barn has been lovingly converted to offer luxury accommodation whilst retaining its original character of exposed beams & sandstone walls.
The kitchen is very well-equipped even including such things as an oyster knife, an asparagus kettle and electronic scales.
It is situated in a small rural hamlet of 8 houses where one can experience real French life.
Great effort has been taken to ensure that vacations can be enjoyed from the first moment. We offer a shopping service, catering for special occasions or perhaps 'après ski', and a variety of kitchen extras such as herbs, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, tea and ground coffee.
Free membership to local tennis courts. All utility bills, winter fuel & even charcoal for the BBQ are included.
The medieval town of Aurignac can be seen from the villa and is a 10 min drive by car.
Large salt water private swimming pool with pretty gardens in which to place the sun-loungers. The area around the pool can be flood-lit at night... a perfect place to enjoy an evening aperitif.
There is an agreeable sun terrace off the dining room with a large teak table and seats for 8. The large Weber BBQ is equipped with charcoal and a Weber chimney for ease of lighting.
There are 2 double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms & a third bedroom with mezzanine floor sleeping 4 on 2 levels. There is a family bathroom specifically for this bedroom. All three bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes (closets) with both hanging space & shelves.
There is a pretty chestnut balcony, accessible from all three bedrooms, that offers beautiful views of the Louge valley. Additionally, there is a small table with 2 chairs on the balcony; perfect for morning coffee.
In the dining room there is a solid oak monastic dining table with seating for 8, along with crockery & cutlery for 12.
The relaxing sitting room has 2 large sofas, a stocked book shelf, family games, various family viewing DVDs and a 'café style' table-football offering fun for all ages! For the colder months there is a large, very effective log fire which heats the bedrooms & kitchen. All wood is included in the rental cost.
In addition to the bathroom and 2 en-suite shower-rooms there is a downstairs toilet just off the fully equipped laundry room.
Suitable for large and/or extended families, with grandparents or groups of friends.
The laundry room has a large 7kg capacity washing machine, a tumble drier, iron & ironing board. There is a complementary quantity of washing powder & fabric softener.
All guests are given a welcome basket of goodies including such things as homemade bread, a bottle of quality wine and local cheese.
The beautiful Pyrenean mountain range can be seen as one leaves the hamlet. The villa is not overlooked and offers tranquil memorable vacations.
Three ski stations, at no more than 80 minutes from the villa, offer skiing from debutant to seasoned black runners. Fishing by permit is available.
