Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home in quiet Palmer Ranch neighborhood. Close to Siesta Key beaches (15 minute drive), downtown Sarasota (20 minutes), St. Armands Circle on Lido Key (25 minutes). West facing large wooden deck with giant Silver Oak on small natural lake with a nature preserve on the opposite side. (Enjoy spotting the large alligator who hovers off the reeds. No swimming!) Great for sitting with coffee and a good book or just watching the abundant wildlife. Many species of birds in morning and afternoon. Daphne and Niles Crane, our resident Sand Hill Cranes, hatch 1-2 babies in February and you can enjoy watching flying lessons in the backyard.
It is 10-15 minutes to sea kayak rental, YMCA, movie theaters, Siesta Key beaches, golf, tennis, and fabulous restaurants. Lots of shopping and Gulf Gate public library & Dunkin Donuts with free internet access are nearby. Just minutes off of I-75, it is exactly one hour door to door from Tampa International Airport and Ft. Meyers Airport, 1.30 to 2 hours to Disney World and Orlando.
Kid friendly house as one level and not lots of clutter around. Large tub and separate walk in shower in Master bath and standard bath/shower in 2nd bath.
There is an activities library in the house with maps, Disney / Orlando, Tampa / Sarasota info, travel guides, family games and a selection of paperbacks.

Year Purchased: 2004
We are a family of three who split work and living between Colorado and Florida. We enjoy the natural beauty of both locations and know we are fortunate to have the best of both worlds. We enjoy Sarasota as it has a vibrant year-round community atmosphere.
The Unique Benefits of this House
A typical day for us is to hit Siesta Key beach around 9:00 am and stay until 11:30 or noon. We then are off in search of the best grouper sandwiches (Turtles on Turtle Beach Siesta Key is a favorite). The afternoon we nap, read, go shopping, take a walk, etc. before enjoying the sunset from our deck.
