This large fully furnished, very comfortable house is located on 165 feet of sandy beach. The house sits on one and a half acres of land and offers plenty of privacy.
The large beach is a playground in itself especially for children since the water's descent is very gradual. There is ample room for volleyball, bean bags, horseshoes or any other beach game you can think of. There is also a large raft in the water that can be used for sun bathing or kid's play. Two single person kayaks and a row boat are there for your use. A beautiful gazebo, just off the water's edge offers a place for shade, drinks or dining. Also adjacent to the water's edge is a fire pit for your enjoyment.
Big Crooked Lake is one of the nine sister lakes. The 110 acre lake is hour-glass shaped. Our home is on the smaller part of the hourglass. The other side of the lake is twice the size. It is a fully recreational lake offering swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing, snow-mobiling, snow-skiing and much more. There is a marina close by for boat rentals.
The home offers panoramic lake views from many of the windows and sliding glass doors with a wrap around deck to capture every evening sunset.
Just down the road, in walking distance from our home is the famous "Driftwood" soda fountain and ice cream shop. Children and adults frequent it at least once a day. Also very close to the home are several restaurants, a bowling alley and roller rink. When weather becomes inclement there is still many things to do.
The towns of Dowagiac, Benton Harbor and St. Joseph are only twenty minutes away offering many more restaurants, a movie theatre and unique shopping opportunities including antique stores.
