place was very clean, had everything you would need for a vacation. Loved having coffee on the balcony overlooking the second green of River Oaks Golf Course. We will be renting this place again. The owner is very friendly and helped us when we were in a bad situation. We found a couple of great restaurants..Anthony's Pizzaria on Glen Bay Rd..., Ron Jon's right at River Oaks (great happy hour specials from 4-7, wings are excellent) and Carolina's Roadhouse for ribs. We bought ourselves a platinum golf card, so we were paying 50.00/round with cart for two of us to play 18 holes. We had 9 or 10 courses to choose from, we played Wicked Stick, which we would do again, River Oaks, which was great and Indigo Creek..actually would play all these courses again.

Gary Thank you for the use of your 2nd home. It was everything we hoped for. The place was great, The view was great in the mornings, The Hot tub right outside the door was what the doctor ordered after a day of golf.. You could not have asked for better location than where River Oaks is located. It was so easy to either go to Broadway at the beach or even up to Calabash.We will be back

This is an excellent unit because it is very very clean and it provides people the serenity needed to enjoy a wonderful vacation. Everything is provided such as towels, linen, kitchen necessities and much more. What makes this unit special is the owner calls to ensure your satisfaction! That kind gesture added a personal touch to our vacation. We are planning our vacation here next year!

Condo at River Oaks

we had a great stay at the condo, very spacious,clean and close to all you would want to see. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I loved the mornings on the balcony having my coffee and watching the beautiful red birds and golf workers getting the greens ready. Would definately use again.

Three couples and a condo...

As the title implies, our group included three couples looking for something comfortable, reasonably priced with some amenities close to everything. Thought we might be asking for too much, but this condo gave us pretty much everything! Literally 5 minutes from everything of interest in Myrtle Beach...the new boardwalk, Broadway at the Beach, the airport. Terrific pool just outside the front door with a hot tub, too. We used the charcoal BBQ in the common area, really handy. Fantastic golf across the street at World Tour (and I mean across the street)...played 36 holes there. All in all, just a fantastic vacation and it couldn't have been as good without a home base as comfortable as this! Thanks Gary!

We would just like to say that we had an incredible time on our 'real' first family vacation! Your condo is breathtaking. Everything you say on your posting is 100% true and then some. Extremely clean, fully equipped, beautifully decorated and so close to everything. I have to be honest I was quite worried about booking through the internet as I have heard horror stories, but your condo stood out from the rest and after speaking with you I was very comfortable and felt very assured. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo!! We are already speaking about coming back next year for how much we loved it...we didn't want to leave. We apoligise to all our guests that stayed with us during the month of July 2010. Our "Homeowners Association" failed to notify us that there was a month long delay in getting started with renovations to our building. All buildings in River Oaks are undergoing this work due to a builder problem. The work on building 29 was to have been completed in June 2010. All new windows, siding and outside carpet was to have already been replace prior to your stay. Again we apologise for and inconvenience this may have caused you. To show our appreciation, should you decide to re-book with us in the future, we will offer special discounts to those that decide to join us again. This is my second year staying at The Fairways. As in my previous stay the condo is in immaculate condition and everything listed is true. The property is well maintained and thoroughly cleaned between stays. Enough "essentials" were provided to hold you over until you make it to the store; as well as a full gamut of kitchen plates and utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker etc; perfect for those that enjoy a home cooked meal while on vacation. The condo is also conveniently located. The pool is right outside the door and the golf course in the back yard; the shopping center (Food Lion, Gas Station, Tavern In The Forest Restaurant etc..) shopping outlets and main highway are less than 5 minutes by car. Of course a 10-12 minute ride will get you to the beach or Broadway at the Beach- a must see for all. As for the owner, Gary is the best going above and beyond to ensure your comfort during your stay. He had left a message for welcoming us prior to our arrival and checked in to ensure that everything was as expected. There are maps and coupon books for general use as well as free wireless service; perfect for those who need to look for directions or check the local restaurant reviews. Thanks for everything Gary! See you next year!

River Oaks

Our stay in Myrtle Beach was absolutely wonderfull and we would recommend this condo without hesitation. It's location is close to anything you would want to do from golf, shopping, beaches etc etc etc. We never get tired of visiting Barefoot Landing and Broadway on the Beach. The condo was clean, comfortable and roomy.........truly a "home away from home"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pool was steps away and very enjoyable on those hot, sunny days. We hope we will get the opportunity to rent this property again.

large, clean, comfortable and conveniently located

I represent a foresome of golfers that have been visiting MB for over 15 years. We used to stay at hotels on the strip and have experienced it all: tired furniture, broken furniture, fuzzy tv reception, no tv reception, small beds, uncomfortable beds, 60's decor, leaky sinks, etc. A couple of years ago we thought we would change it up and rent a condo. I spoke to Gary before renting and was impressed by his sincerity regarding the property. I am happy to say the condo is as advertised. It is large, clean, comfortable and conveniently located. If you were like me, staring at ads, wondering if the photos are current and descriptions are truthful look no further. I haven't written a review before but honest representation deserves to be acknowledged. I recommend this rental for golfers and families alike. Thanks Gary!

While seeing is usually ?believing?, in this case the pictures fairly represent this lovely, well appointed and clean condo. ?Truth in Advertising?, is not common these days. A bonus is the beautiful view of a green complimented by a variety of visiting birds and small animals to be enjoyed while lounging on the back balcony. The general location is wonderful with a pool, beaches, nighttime entertainment, dining from pubs to fine dining, and golf within minutes of the door. The price of golfing was great and the course staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your home away from home. We are already booking a return visit.

We stayed at this property in June of 2009 with our 9-year old and older son and daughter in law. It was awesome and we would love to go back!! The condo was so nice, much more than we expected...very spacious, nice furniture and appliances, and a screened-in balcony provided mosquito-free nights overlooking the golf course. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay during our vacation. It was also across from the pool, which was convenient. The pool was very nice and clean...and during our week stay, it was never crowded unlike some of the pools we noticed that were directly on the beach. Can't wait to go back to Myrtle Beach...and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This condo was everything we could have asked for and more. This was our 3rd family vacation to Myrtle Beach and by far the best vacation yet. One of the major factors in making this one special was the accommodations. The owners were fantastic to deal with and followed up on every commitment. The price was great and the location was perfect, in the heart of all the things that we enjoy doing as a family. I have and would continue to recommend this property to friends and family. We certainly look forward to our next vacation in Myrtle Beach and have every intention of staying at this property.
