Everything beat my expectations. The owner was very accomodating and answered my emails quickly. I received my deposit in no time at all. The cabin was very clean. I brought my own cleaning supplies, but that was not necessary. Everything was provided. The only tip I have is that the property is off to the side of the street it is on. So we kept passing by the house because we couldn't find the numbers (we arrived at night so it was dark). So just look for the bear statue in the pictures!

My gf and I booked this property for 2 nights on a midweek trip (Mon and Tues). We planned on leaving Wednesday night after snowboarding, but we decided to use the money we were going to save from having no cleaning bill (since we cleaned the place before we left Thurs morning) and stayed a 3rd night on a whim. The process was easy (emailed the owner and booked Wed night over PayPal) and I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay somewhere other than at a hotel.

The cabin is small but nice, and we had a great time at Big Bear. The problem arose after we returned home to San Diego. It seems as though the owner of the cabin expects the guests to clean the cabin before they leave, as if they are professional cleaners. We actually did wash all the dishes, and threw away all the trash, and of course did not damage anything in the cabin. But according to the owner’s interpretation of the rental agreement that was not sufficient. So he deducted a third of our deposit. This is the 5th time we are using VRBO during a vacation, and the first time our deposit was not returned in full; and this wasn’t because we caused any kind of damage. So in short, we had a great time at big Bear, but we will not return to this cabin.

Owner response: 1ST TIME THIS SEASON OUT OF 23 RENTERS. Most renters are willing to clean up after themselves and enjoy the fact that we charge no cleaning fee so we have a much lower rental price. This renter had complete disregard for the property, cleaning procedure, and future renters, all documented by the cleaners with photos and report. The cleaning procedure is simple and requires that renters return items to their place so the professional cleaner can simply sanitize. The cleaners charged $50. which is less than most mandatory VRBO cleaning fees.

Charming, cozy and CLEAN cottage that's close to the ski resorts and several local eateries. Neighborhood was very quiet. The bed - full size - has a foam top which made sleeping a delight and there was plenty of hot water. Garage is a big plus for those staying during the winter; however, be aware that it'll be a snug fit for a full-sized SUV. Our only real complaint: No oven in the kitchen, but we made do and the kitchen is otherwise we'll equipped. We're staying again in 2 weeks, so yes, we'd highly recommend.

This best word to describe this place was dingy the couch had multiple rips and tears and most surfaces were pretty dusty. You will want to bring your own comforters because the ones provided were scary. The kitchen was pretty greasy this would be a great place for a few guys to rent on a snowboard trip but other than that I can't see it working

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for two nights over Thanksgiving this year and thoroughly enjoyed our time! We had fairly high expectations and were still pleasantly surprised. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes, the heat worked great, the location was fantastic! The only down side was very low lighting in the living room, but some would certainly consider that a plus. The fireplace was a great bonus on a chilly evening, and we hit up Red Baron Pizza and Jasper's for meals, both within 10 minutes. Also love that several grocery stores, a Starbucks, many dining options, and hiking trails are all within minutes. We received our deposit back promptly. Will be back! Thank you!

This cabin is perfect for a couple looking to just relax. It is close enough to the main shopping center yet far enough to relax. It was very clean when we arrived and enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to pay a cleaning fee and do the cleaning ourselves. Would highly recommend this cabin especially for the price.

My girlfriend and I went to stay in this cabin for 3 nights and we absolutely fell in love with it. It's relatively secluded and extremely cozy and comfortable inside. I would recommend it to any couples that want to get a way for a weekend.

My friends and I came up for the weekend and it was so much fun! The cabin was comfortable/cozy and very close to the slopes. The owner was easy to work with and very reasonable.. I got my deposit within a week of staying. First time using VRBO, great experience.. would definitely rent again.

Great place. We were surprise to find the cabin so comfy and well equip with wireless internet, cable tv, great efficient heater, stocked kitchen, super fast water heater and washer/dryer. Would definitely go back to this cute cabin. Convenient location as well. Deposit was refunded promptly as promised. Thanks for providing a comfortable vacation cabin.

Clean, cool, no frills place. High ceilings are super awesome. There's cable tv, wireless internet, large fridge and a coffee/expresso machine. Ample closet space, parking, kitchen items. A few minutes to the lake, shops, grocery stores on Big Bear Boulevard. In gorgeous neighborhood out of the way of the touristy village area. Got to meet Ray- the manager who is near by and a great guy. Had a lot of fun here- cooking on the deck, etc.. We'd rather do our own cleaning than pay the 65+ at other places to have it done. Also cheaper deposit than all those other places.
