Nice and clean ,good for families, couples, enjoyed the quiet . The spiral staircase saves room, very nice granite countertops, with all the needed essentials, and a neat shower . Close to yummy places to eat ,beaches,and shopping. Not your fancy high end Wailea , but neither are we .

Well the holiday is over and it was wonderful. The condo was fabulous - comfy, clean and stocked with everything we could ever need. The spacious lanai was definitely a highlight, we spent many hours on it enjoying the scenery, listening to the birds and just relaxing. I will definitely recommend the condo to others. Thanks so much, we hope to have the opportunity to use it again in the future.

Thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful condo. It was everything you described. Very quiet building and excellent location. Just a short walk and you were at the beach. The time spent on the lanai overlooking the ocean is priceless. The boogey boards, chairs and cooler supplied were an added bonus to our daily beach trips. Many good restaurants were within walking distance. The pool, hot tub and bbq areas were never busy and clean and accesible. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends. We plan to stay at this condo next year. Best Holiday Yet......

Good time in Maui

I stayed at your lovely condo from the 29th of May till the 5th of June. Heather and Bob booked for 2 weeks and I came down for the last week. I went to spend time with my beautiful grand baby Evelyn. Her mom and her dad needed some adult time to check out activities on the island and grandma was only to happy to come and care for her at your lovely condo. It was very roomy, spacious and the view from the lanai was calming and relaxing. We spent a lot of time going for walks, checking out shops, and we also loved hanging out at the pool. We did find time to go to the beach which was a short walk away, we played in the sand and took a dip in the ocean, the sand was like talc. It was lovely! I found the other patrons of the condo's very friendly and pleasant.I also found the locals wonderful to talk to about the island and the area. I would love to bring my husband here for a few weeks. Lots to see and do on the island, this was my third trip to Maui. Thank you for sharing your "other" home with me (us). Best Regards

Excellent condo for price

I spent two weeks in this condo with my husband and 20 month old daughter. The pictures and descriptions are accurate and factual. The location is just minutes walk from gorgeous beaches, and lots of shops and restaurants. The residents of the condo are pleasant and welcome travelers. The pool is very clean and never seemed busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Turner's Maui condo.

Great Vacation at a Great Condo!

My family of six stayed for three weeks in February and March 2010 and we loved every minute of our stay. Alanah and Ross were very accommodating letting our large family stay in their condo. The upstairs loft was huge and even with the king bed upstairs there was plenty of room for my two smallest children to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The unit was clean when we arrived and had anything and everything we needed. Enjoying coffee every morning on the lanai watching the sun rise over the mountain with the amazing ocean view was a real treat. My four kids thoroughly enjoyed Kamaole Beach One, just one short block form the condo, taking full advantage of the beach toys and chairs provided in the condo. We also got our moneys worth out of the Kihei Alii Kai pool and hot tub with the children making lots of new friends poolside. The condo is literally just steps from top notch restaurants of which we took full advantage. The only negative of our Maui vacation was Hawaiian Tsunami Warning 2010. Although stressful, it was nice to be safe in our fourth floor unit. Alanah even called us long distance throughout the day to make sure we were okay. Our entire family is now in love with Maui. We have already booked the condo for four weeks for 2011. We can hardly wait to get back. Thanks for letting us stay in your home for our amazing vacation!

Not Happy

When my husband and I got to the condo the last thing we expected to do was spend 3 hours each cleaning. We had to scrub and vacuum the whole place from top to bottom. There was a half smoked cigar on the deck, sand all over the furniture and in the drawers so all the utensils had to be washed. There was dried food on the Kitchen floor - gross. The shower was filthy and there was even dried urine on the toilet. Disgusting!!! There was more but I think that is enough to mention. Overall we were not impressed at all. The pictures are accurate, however you can not see dirt in pictures very well. The view was lovley.

Owner response:csmaui were guests for two weeks in our unit. They did not contact us when they arrived at the unit to inform us that there was a problem with the cleaning. They did not contact the rental agency as is outlined in our booking information sheet. I have no proof that the unit was unclean as they did not provide me the opportunity to have the cleaners into the unit immediately to determine why or if there was an inadequate clean between our guests. Regardless, I took them at their word and compensated them for the time they spent cleaning - as they asked. I had not charged them a cleaning fee on their booking as an incentive for the length of stay. I also accomodated an 8 pm checkout with no additional fee prior to hearing about any issues. As soon as I heard that there was an issue (when I called from Canada to ensure everything was going well) I immediately contacted the rental agency and the cleaning crew and made it clear that I was accepting the guests' comments and that substandard cleaning was not acceptable. I have no explanation on why the clean wouldn't have been done satisfactorily as it has been for two years. When I received my billing from the management and cleaning company - I deducted the charge for the clean. I repaid the same amount to the guests as compensation for their troubles, even though there were other ways to address what must have been some kind of human error on part of the cleaning company. As an owner, I cannot stop errors made by others, however I can do my best to make it right. Which I did. It leaves me to wonder if these guests take these types of actions in an effort to get money back after vacations. If so, shame on me - I fell for it.

Just returned to very cold weather after a wonderful week at your condo. What a perfect spot, close to great beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Condo was spotless and more than adequate for our stay. A perfect location. We are missing our morning coffee on the deck looking at the water and our daily walks and swims. Everyone in Maui was so nice and friendly. A true paradise. Many thanks.

This condo is exactly as described here! It is well-laid out, comfortable, clean, and close to all the amenities you will need. We had a wonderful vacation with this as our home base, enjoying beaches, sunsets, snorkeling, walks, drives, good food (try dinner on the lanai!), and lots of rest and relaxation.

Outstanding condo very suitable for a family of 4. Lots of room, very clean and well equipped, in a nice, calm setting, next to the beach (1 block). Conveniently located on the sunny side of Maui, close enough for visits to any parts of the Island. Owner was very helpful in responding quickly my questions and booking the condo. We stayed also at some other rentals elsewhere on Maui and Big Island, but this one was by far the best pick.

My family and I have just returned from Maui where we spent a glorious two weeks in your lovely condo. We wanted to thank you so much -- your condo was everything we expected and more. It was so clean and nice and perfectly laid out for a family of four. Your ad on vrbo describes it to a tee (and that's not always been the case with other ads in our experience). Other than the sand that seems to get everywhere -- we've left the condo in the great shape it was when we arrived. You'll be the first people I check with if we go back next year and I'll be sure and refer others to your vrbo site. We also had never stayed at the Ali'i Kai before although we have stayed in that section of Kihei. The Ali'i Kai was awesome and so central. We did manage to have Pad Thai at Maui Thai and it was fabulous. We also had coffee and paninis at Cafe a la Plage several times and loved it there (and the cools guys that work there).

This condo is in a very good location and was within walking distance to most activities. The view from the lanai was great and we were able to do lots of whale watching. The condo is well setup and very comfortable. Thanks for letting us stay in your Maui home, we will be back next year!
