. My husband, two teenage sons and I stayed at this apartment for a weekend in March and everything about it was terrific! The apartment is beautiful, spotless and very well equipped.It is in a private area with beautiful mountain views, yet very convenient to ski areas, restaurants and other activities. It is minutes to Attitash, the Red Parka Pub and the White Mountain Cider Co. which we also enjoyed! The owners were very gracious and we hope to make it an annual trip. We highly recommend this wonderful spot!

Super Vacation Week Ski Trip

Our family was fortunate to stay with the Carper's in the guest apartment during winter break for a four night stay. The apartment is beautifully appointed, very comfortable, clean and amenities abound. The open concept living, kitchen and dining area is great. We particularly enjoyed the gas fireplace which was very cozy. The bedroom has a comfortable king bed and our son loved the bunks (he tried out top and bottom). All was just as described and pictured in the listing. The location is very convenient to the area mountains and getting into town. I'm sure it is the same for warmer weather activities too. The Carper family was very gracious and made our stay very comfortable. They have a beautiful home and are great hosts. We look forward to visiting the Black Bear Lodge again.

Me and my husband had a great time in Glen and we enjoyed all the winter activities. After a full day of skiing we enjoyed staying in the apartament which was very conviniently located. It was very clean and intimate, perfect for people who are looking for a relaxing getaway. The apartament was very modern, yet it made us feel like home. We are looking foreward to visiting Glen again. thanks for everything

This stylish, comfortable, well-appointed, and convenient apartment met and exceeded our expectations. Suzy and Bob have thought of everything. As others have mentioned, Black Bear Lodge is not far from conveniences; yet one has the feeling of being in a beautiful forest hideaway. We had a summer visit and we look forward to returning during fall foliage.

My husband and I had a great time in this lovely apartment. It had everything we could want, from views, to privacy, from isolation, to close to everything. We were even able to snowshoe nearby, thanks to Bob and Lisa guiding us. We would definitely return and look forward to seeing our hosts and their great spot again.

Staying at the guest apartment was a great experience. It is spacious, cozy, clean and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent, close to North Conway and multiple ski resorts. A perfect fall foliage Columbus Day weekend with a wonderful guest lodging to stay in. The unit is very nicely appointed, very tasteful, immaculately clean from the decor to the cutlery with great mountain vistas outside the window. Private and intimate, we could easily see ourselves returning to this accommodation and oasis of countryside called the Mt. Washington Valley with its great old New Hampshire feel. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the apartment was very private and immaculate with every possible need thought of. My children LOVED the bunk beds and the bedding was clean and beds very comfortable! We will certainly return and highly recommend it, with a wonderful location close to mountains and also storyland and santa village. A great find!

I spent quite some time researching where to stay on our recent visit to the White Mountains (craigslist, cyber rentals, hotels/motels, etc.) and for months was not moved to act on any listings. By chance (and luck), I stumbled upon this website and found Bob and Suzy’s apartment. When I sent an inquiry, Bob responded within an hour!! – and set a precedent for what we came to enjoy throughout the entire rental experience –responsive, genuinely warm hospitality, yet as another poster suggested, balanced with all the privacy one would expect. The accommodations exceeded my expectations. I travel quite a bit for work (and have frequented 5 star establishments from time to time), and without doubt this was THE cleanest and best appointed home away from home I have visited. With two small children who are hooked on Storyland and Santa’s Village, we will be back to the area and will plan the trip around availability at Bob and Suzy’s inviting log home apartment! I was fortunate enough to find the right location to stay during my visit to New Hampshire. The apartment offered everything I could have asked for - it was very clean and functional (the shower was great!), located far enough away from town that I felt that I was in the mountains, but not so far away to be inconvenient. I enjoyed all the modern conveniences (flatscreen television, surround sound stereo system and gas fireplace) while enjoying that "rustic" feeling of staying in a log home. The views were awesome and the owner's hospitality was the perfect balance of warmth/welcome and privacy. I would certainly recommend this cozy get-away to anyone visiting the area.

We just returned from our stay. The accomodations are wonderful and the unit is very well appointed. We love the location -- close to everything but still secluded. The garage parking is a plus, especially on a cold wintery day. We hope to return soon. Thanks for everything.
