Location: Other Vail Properties, Vail, Northwest, Colorado, USA (3 minutes from Beaver Creek, 7 minutes from Vail Village)
Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms + Loft, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 10-12)
Keywords: Mountain Home
Our home is situated on Whiskey Hill overlooking Vail Valley. It is two minutes from Beaver Creek and five minutes from the nearest ski lift at Vail.
You enter into the great room to face nothing but wall-to-wall glass windows overlooking outstanding views of the snow covered mountains. Ceder lined cathedral ceilings soar above your head giving an amazing sense of being at one with the mountains. To the left is a crackling wood fireplace around which is situated a lounging area. A game area is located behind the lounge area, and next to that is the long wooden dining table that can accommodate ten. The kitchen bar is perfect for sitting and chatting or for serving the dishes buffet style.
The great room opens up onto a 800 square foot deck, which in the winter is useful for you smokers!
The owners' bedroom is located on the lower level with its own wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceilings, large walk-in closet, soaking tub, shower and twin sinks. It also has a private deck, again useful for those who like to smoke.
Also located on the lower level are three more bedrooms, a large full bath with twin sinks and a six person sauna room. This lower level opens up onto another large deck on which is located a six person hot tub, in which you can soak away the day's skiing while looking at the mountains across the valley.
The two decks are connected by an iron stairwell so that firewood can easily be carried up to the great room.
The upper level of our home consists of a large bedroom, en suite with a large walk in closet and a loft lounge area which has a pull-out couch, if this is needed.
