Located just 1 mile from the bridge on a private road surrounded by woods and water. We offer satellite TV, wireless network, kayaks, plus peace and quiet. Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny deck overlooking the Reach and watch the stars at night. The beach is enjoyable with mostly sandy shores. A mooring is available for a small additional fee. Close to Bar Harbor and many other Down East attractions. Use the swing or lawn chairs by the water to read or just enjoy the view. Our area offers Ferry trips to Isle au Haut, sight seeing tours, sunset boat tours or go to a Island Lobster Bake on a boat. You can go on a Light house trip, Puffin Boat trip, Whale Watch Trip or Island Hop Boat Trip, all for a few extra dollars. Kayak lessons and rentals available close by. I stayed here for a month and it was cozy, comfortable, convenient, and clean! The owners were great to work with. Bob and Gloria were very helpful, went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had whatever I needed. They worked with me on scheduling and Gloria right on top of helping me with necessities when my luggage didn't come for 4 days. The cottage was well equiped with everything I needed and if there was something else I needed Bob was there to provide (ie super glue for my shoe!) I would recommend the cottage to anyone going to Maine or to the area. I plan on returning soon. I came from the west coast so having a well stocked place to stay was important and I had everyting I needed and more. The location was great also. Right in the middle of all the places I wanted to see. Close to Acadia National Park.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

All can say is WOW... Spent a week here with my 14 year old son, we had the time of our lives... the scenery and setting is amazing, so quiet and peaceful. The water is literally feet away and the beach is ripe for beachcombing. Kayaking out on the reach was a blast. Little Deer Isle is small but scenic and easy to get around on. Deer Isle offers more sights, scenery and exploring. Don't miss Madelyn's take out seafood, or Fisherman's Friend in Stonington. Heritage Trust sites are excellent for day hikes, and a day trip to Isle au Haut is a must-do. Gloria and Bob are wonderful hosts, and present an immaculate and very comfortable cottage. After several trips to Maine over the years, I've decided this area, and this cottage in particular, are my favorite. I would not hesitate to return here again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife, daughter, and I have stayed here several times. We love the house and the location. Bob and Gloria are wonderful hosts and are always avaiable to help in any way they can. They can steer you in the right direction for sightseeing, restaurants, and day trips. But if you just want to relax you don't have to go any further than the front yard. Eggemogin Reach is beautiful. This area of Maine is probably the least traveled on the coast but in our opinion is the prettiest. Take time to see the surrounding villages and soak it all in. One of our favorite side trips is Nervous Nellies Jams and Jellies which is just up the road. It's much more than just a jelly store! Check it out and say hello to Bob and Gloria!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
