There is within the cabin an array of West Coast Indian art/crafts as well as wonderful oil painting depicting the beauty of the area. It is a stroll away from restaurants,water activities (kayak rentals, boat rentals) as well as the local yacht club. Maple Bay is well know for its sailing and kayaking waters. It looks across to Saltspring Island which is a short ferry ride away. There are numerous wineries in the valley as well as farmers markets providing fresh local produce. You will always remember coming to Maple Bay in the Cowichan valley; a mere one hour drive from Victoria and Nanaimo which have airports. Also two floatplane companies operate out of Vancouver into Maple Bay Marina twice a day!
