McKinney Creek Deck - Lake Tahoe Lodging A few renter comments: Loved the log home – beautiful home and great location. Homewood Ski Resort is one of our favorite ski locations and being so close we didn’t have to rush in the morning to get to the slopes – we even came back for lunch one day. Kids enjoyed sledding down to the creek on the property. We’ll be back. Sledding to the creek was the best! Jerry New 3BR-2BA log home on 2 acres on year-round McKinney creek in quiet McKinney Estates, Homewood, West Shore Lake Tahoe. Our log home has been custom built of 14 inch Engleman Spruce logs by craftsmen from British Columbia, has convenient car access, is heavily wooded, quiet, yet close to all conveniences. The home has an open floor plan with log beams and vaulted ceilings with natural wood paneling, tile and hardwood flooring and is decorated in a Tahoe style to compliment the beautiful wood interior. Large deck overlooks McKinney Creek which runs year-round. Two Vermont-Castings cast iron stoves with glass doors heat the log home and all bedrooms have individually controlled thermostat controlled baseboard electric heaters. Home is professionally cleaned after each rental and sleeps 10 in 3 bedrooms and loft. Upstairs master bedroom has one queen, loft has one queen fold-out futon, downstairs bedroom has one queen, and second downstairs bedroom has one full bed and twin bunk beds. Bring your own bed linens and shower towels – all beds have pillows, blankets and comforters. Private 2 acres leads down to year-round McKinney Creek with room for private winter snow play and sledding. Lake Tahoe is a short 1/2 mile walk or drive to the Chambers Landing public beach & pier. Homewood Ski Resort (with Tahoe’s best lake views) is 1 mile from the home. The Tahoma Market PDQ is ¾ mile up the road and Tahoe City is 10 minutes away with shops, grocery stores and restaurants. Close favorite spots include Homewood Ski Resort, Chambers Landing Beach/Pier, Meeks Bay, the West Shore Blvd Bike Path, Sunnyside & Black Bear restaurants, Obexer’s public boat launch & dock, Sugar Pine Point, DL Bliss and Emerald Bay state parks. Homewood Ski Resort is 3 minutes from the cabin, Squaw Valley (1968 Olympic Site) and Alpine Meadows ski resorts are 15 minutes away. North & South Shore casinos are 30 minutes away. We rent our new log home and manage the property ourselves which allows us to offer a nice value for a West Shore rental. Minimum stay requirements for major holidays. Also available for rent along with house rental or separately - our 2BR/1BA cabin above our detached 3 car garage. Sleeps 6 w/full kitchen and private deck w/BBQ.
