Nice Stay-Clean House

We rented the house for 9 nights. Perfect for our group of 10. Very nice owner. Quick to respond to any issues (minor) we had. Very clean home. Pool was perfect for our 6 kids. Location was real close to 192 and World Drive. Quick jaunt to all the major parks. Quiet neighborhood. 24 hr grocery, gas, CVS, and fast food close by as well. couldn't beat the price! Would definitely book again.

Upon arrival to the home, the house looked decent. The dining table was all set with a full dinner setting, and looked nice! The kids were disappointed the comforters on the beds weren't the same, but got over it. :) After a few hours, we started to realize that certain things were broken, worn out, not working well. The pool equipment was extremely loud, and the manager of the house next door came and advised us that we needed to have it looked at. Our son noticed the couch was leaning slightly the 2nd day we were there. We called the manager and advised that the couch was broken, the pool equipment needed to be serviced, we didn't have a frying pan, all of the door stops were broken (so there was holes behind all the doors), the shower door was off track, closet door was off track, wi-fi wasn't working, and the house phone never worked while we were there. My concern was that the owner had no idea what condition some of this stuff was in, so i emailed her to advise her. I was so frustrated that had we not already unpacked, i would've left and went to a hotel. The manager came and handled some of the items, even leaving us a frying pan. He advised not to worry about the couch because it was new, and covered under warranty. We got home, and the security deposit wasn't returned because they said we broke the couch and there was writing on the shower wall. I never saw anything, or I would have added it to our list of items we advised them of. Under no circumstances had we broke or damamged anything, yet we were told that the couch was broken & the shipping costs were too high to cover under warranty, so we were being charged. This is the 2nd house we have rented, and I am very disappointed! There is no checkin/out procedure, so you have no way of proving what the condition of the rental was upon arrival. I will insist upon having a manager present anytime i checkin to another rental, so they can walk through and note the problems. I can't believe I wasted my time worrying that the manager didn't know the condition of her rental, and taking the time to notify her, only to be charged my deposit. I was concerned that others would stay here, and also be disappointed with the condition, so i felt that it was only right to tell her. This situation has left a very dark cloud over an otherwise great vacation!

Owner response:Actually this is my first time holding the deposit. I felt very bad. You waited until the end of the vacation to tell me that the sofa was broken. And the management company emailed me the pictures of handwriting on the wall. We just painted the house before your arrival and when the beds and sofa were moved for painting, the sofa was fine.

Property was justas it appeared online. There was plenty of room and the pool was great. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great space for their family vacation!

Recommended for:People with disabilities, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
