"Poggio del Sole" is an old "Villa" recently restored with seven apartments, of different size from 2 to 9 persons.
Each apartment has a lounge with settee and kitchen area, one or more bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is a patio table with chairs, chaise lounges and a patio umbrella. There is independent heating and satellite TV.
Apart from the relaxing and tranquil atmosphere, "Poggio del Sole" is also in an ideal position from which to explore Tuscany and Umbria.
From this happy position, at the centre of a vast area rich in its world famous artistic and historical heritage, any number of splendid cities are quickly and easily reached.
Excursions to all the famous centres of art, nature and culture of the two regions are easily accessible within the space of a day.
Pleaced such as Assisi, Perugia, Siena, Gubbio, Montepulciano etc. Only a few minute away is also the ancient Etruscan city and archeological area of Chiusi with its museum, tombs and labirinth. Rome and Florence are within easy reach also, by train.
Within the arc of Lake Trasimeno rise-up a world of hill-towns, castles and villages mainly medieval - Castiglione del lago, panicale, Città della Pieve, Cortona and others. These too are places rich in history and art. which offer a host of attractions to visitors.
Not least, there is the by now gastronomic tradition, and the best fine wines which can be happily added to the list of the things "visited".
