Casa de Palma is a brand new, luxury, first tier, 4100 square foot, architectural gem of a house in the Dune Ridge section of Watersound. It offers fabulous views from almost all of its nearly 100 windows! It has a dramatic three story open staircase leading up to the loft which is furnished with a queen sleeper sofa and two comfortable chairs.

You can step out of the house and almost directly onto the boardwalk for a three-minute walk through the dunes to the sugar-white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters of Watersound Beach. At the end of the day, meet your houseguests in the loft or on the loft balcony to enjoy the setting of the sun and spectacular views of Watersound's famous dunes and sparkling gulf waters.

Upon entering Casa de Palma, you will find yourself in a gathering area with full wet bar including fridge with ice maker. To your left is a hallway to two bedrooms--a bunk room and a king bedroom (not to be confused with the downstairs king master). There is a large bathroom with two sinks and separate water closet that opens into the hall and into the king bedroom. The bunk room contains two bunk beds and has a TV with DVD/CD player.

Down the hall to the right of the gathering room is the spacious and lavish ground floor king master with an elegant Tommy Bahama metal canopy bed. The well-appointed bath has a separate shower and tub, separate water closet and two sinks. The room boasts its own private porch with direct access to the beach boardwalk. The spacious laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer is also on the ground floor.

Upstairs you will find a huge, fully-equipped, gourmet kitchen, complete with wine cooler, Bunn coffee maker and Wolf, Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances. There is china service for 16, a bar that seats six and a dining table that seats ten. The kitchen adjoins a large great room with fireplace and big screen TV. There is a desk just outside the great room and wireless internet is available. There is also a paperback library in the great room.

The upstairs master has a sumptuous bathroom/exercise room, where you can enjoy gulf views or watch TV while walking or running on a gym-quality treadmill and keeping those biceps in shape with a complimentary set of hand weights. The upstairs king master has classic Tommy Bahama furniture and a private balcony with gulf views.

Twenty-six inch televisions are located in all bedrooms. The downstairs gathering room has a 32-inch TV and the upstairs master bath/exercise room has a 19-inch TV. The great room has a 46-inch TV. The great room, upstairs master and the bunkroom have DVD/CD players as well. There is a CD Player and I-Pod docking station in the living room.

Got a baby in tow? No problem. In the laundry room you will find a port-a-crib with bedding and a highchair.

All linens are provided and are 100% Egyptian cotton. We even have plenty of beach towels for your use.

  • All I can say is WOW! I did a lot of research this past winter to find the perfect beach rental (on a budget) that met a very long list of criteria to please everyone, and Casa de Palma is our DREAM BEACH HOUSE! It surpassed every single one of our expectations as a "rental property" and it actually felt like we were staying at close friend’s vacation home! We are already excited to return next year! Even with 11 people in the house, we were never over-crowded and we all would have loved to have stayed another week if possible! Our crew was complete with 2 toddlers & 2 children under 8- and we loved the functional comfort of staying on the 1st floor with 3 bedrooms, a huge laundry room (I covet this one!), and the sitting area with bar/kitchenette was perfect for TV watching/snack time while the moms prepped for beach time! The grandparents loved the peaceful (and amazingly soundproof) 2nd floor luxury master suite and the massive kitchen was large enough for all three women to work at once which was fantastic! The bachelor uncle loved staying in the 3rd floor's cozy "light house" as he nicknamed it, although the rest of us often intruded on him to enjoy the panoramic views too! This house is fantastic! Every bedroom, bathroom and living space is exceptionally well designed with inviting seating and simple yet luxurious décor everywhere you turn. The large airy rooms (and balconies) are refreshing and tranquil with towering ceilings, endless windows, high-end lighting & superior quality craftsmanship. It challenges the natural beauty outside, and we didn't mind being "stuck inside" during the pop-up rain storms one bit for a change! We also loved the outdoor teak wood shower/bathroom, patio/decks with grill area too! It was very easy to clean off/unload from the beach outside and reduce the sand traffic inside which is a huge pet-peeve of mine! Watersound as a community is amazing too! It reminds me of Nantucket's Southern BFF! Charming, luxurious, pristine, and perfectly inviting! The boardwalk directly across from the house is stair-free access to the beach - added plus for strollers/beach carts/bikes/scooters! The massive dunes are magical- and in real-life they are truly breathtaking! The big kids were able to safely ride their bikes/scooters around the rolling boardwalks by themselves without us worrying about their safety and they loved the putting golf course (the sales office even loaned us putters!) The pool is very easy to walk to and was meticulously maintained and comfortable. Casa de Palma is very luxurious, tranquil, and inviting without being overdone or intimidating. Watersound Beach is a diamond among all the developments in South Walton area! I most highly recommend this beautiful home for your next family vacation! And I can’t wait for next summer to get here already so we can enjoy another week there ourselves!

Your home was perfectly appointed with everything you could possibly need - it truly felt like a home away from home. It's even better than the pictures show and exactly what we think a beachside property should be --comfortable,cozy and inviting; yet refined and elegant. Admittedly, I am very difficult to please when it comes to accommodations for my family, but your property IS everything you stated and more. We raced to the loft every afternoon to see the stunning sunset display from such a fantastic vantage point!
