This home lies in the heart of the ancient Arab quarter (La Cuidad) of the historic town of Ronda. The Arab baths, Moslem palaces, minaret, monuments, churches and various ancient bridges are all less than 5 minutes away by foot.
The house was completely reconstructed in 2007 and has 2 main levels with a terrace on the roof level. It has the characteristic thick white walls, red tile roof, Spanish tile flooring, and antique dark brown doors. The furniture is a mix of antique Andalusian pieces and modern design.
The ground floor consists of a new modern kitchen, dining area and living room, and a full bath. There is a heating/cooling unit on this floor. The bathroom contains a clothes washing machine.
The second floor has 2 bedrooms; the larger one contains a queen bed and the smaller one has 2 individual beds. The bedroom furniture was locally handmade. Each of the bedrooms has their own heating/cooling unit. There is also a full bath on this level.
The terrace level has fantastic views of the old town with a small wading pool and a higher terrace that provides a 360 degree view of the city and surrounding mountains.
Granada (and the Alhambra) is 2 hours away, Seville is 1.5 hours away, Cordoba is 2 hours away, and the beach is 1 hour away. The international airport in Malaga is just over 1 hour away.
