Cabanas Potosi, in El Valle de Anton, Panama are nestled at 3000 feet about 30 minutes from the Pan-American highway in an extinct shield volcanic crater. El Valle is the home of many species of birds, nature parks, a jungle canopy swing, mountain hiking, horse back riding, water falls and an ecological zoo. There are no fast food establishments but there are many family owned restaurants with typical food and drinks.
The people of El Valle are very friendly moving about during the week by walking, riding a bicycle, and riding horses. On the weekends, however, the community becomes populated with tourits from the Europe and the United States as well as with Panamanians who have weekend homes in El Valle. A visit to the "Market", a place to buy Panamanian pottery and art is a must to see on the weekend. In the evening a light jacket may be needed.
The serenity of this ecoligical mountain hide-a-way is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Beaches and golf located 30 minutes away in Coronado.
