Mahalo Leesa and Jim for letting us share your condo for a month! We had an outstanding time and look forward to visiting again soon. This was our 6th Kauai stay at Poipu Sands for my husband and I, and Leesa and Jim's Condo was by far the best we have stayed in. Their condo is very clean and well maintained. I loved the kitchen; the appliances have been upgraded, lots of utensils, and new pots and pans. There are lots of extra amenities throughout the condo which made us feel truly at home. This condo is also great because it is very close to the pool and the BBQ Grills which we used frequently. It is also close to Shipwrech beach and just a short 1 mile stroll on the greenbelt to Poipu Beach. Jim and Leesa's condo is close to some great restaurants and some even in walking distance. I seriously cannot say enough positive things about Jim and Leesa's condo. We had such a wonderful time; it was relaxing and fun and we cannot wait to return. I highly recommend this condo for a Kauai vacation. Leesa is wonderful to work with and she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect.

My husband and I were very happy with our stay in this beautiful condo. The location is great - very close to the pool and beach. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Leesa was very helpful with directions and suggestions for restaurants etc. I would go back in a heart beat.

My wife and I just returned from our Hawaiian vacation. We stayed at this condo and had a wonderful experience. The place is spotless...almost to the point of appearing brand new. The accommodations are very comfortable and the location is great...adjacent to the Hyatt (sunrise/sunsets at Shipwreck beach!!) and only a couple of minutes to Poipu Beach Park. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals including utensils, plates/bowls, spices, butter, etc. The Lanai is perfect for early morning coffee. Leesa is very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Only two minor things: No AC, which may be an issue for some but wasn't for us (trade winds were perfect), and snorkel gear is limited so plan to rent your own. Overall could not recommend this place more highly and will definitely stay again when we return to Kauai. Mahalo Leesa!!

This place exceeded our expectations in every aspect - the pictures online were beautiful and that what prompted us to choose this condo in the first place, but the pictures didn't do justice. The place in reality was better than the online pictures. It is very clean, beautifully decorated and Leesa thinks of every little thing that makes our stay even more convenient (the place has snorkel gears, cooler, beach umbrella etc as well as basic seasonings for your cooking needs!). Thank you for sharing your home with us! We are already discussing and planning for our next visit!!

With it's tropical Hawaiian theme, it's obvious that the owners put lots of love and care into making sure this condo truely is a "home away from home". The location is great for ocean access, local restaraunts and shopping. Everything we needed was conveniently provided including beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, towels, and a cooler), cooking utensils and appliances, tennis equipment, etc. Being located on the first floor is great because it allows for easy access to the pool, BBQ, and quick walk to the beach. I highly recommend this condo to anyone vacationing in Kauai and I'm looking forward to returning to this location in the near future.

We just returned from our stay at Poipu Sands and had a great stay there. Three things really stood out to us--the amenities, the lack of noise, and the owners. This condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, down to saran wrap for leftovers and oil and spices for cooking, and it also has a dishwasher, which was a nice treat. The washer and dryer were top notch as well. Additionally, we never heard a peep from anyone living above or next to us--it's an incredibly quiet unit, which was important to us. And finally, Leesa was so incredibly nice and helpful. Her directions and info were straightforward and clear, and when we emailed just to inform her of a shade that we couldn't get to lower (which was in the living room so it didn't really matter to us that it wouldn't close), she even called to check in and see how she could help. Be aware that there's no A/C (although you'll be hard pressed to find a VRBO on the south shore that has it), which surprisingly was not an issue during the day because with the fans and the trade winds, it stayed surprisingly cool inside, but a few nights I got a little hot (although my husband said the temperature was perfect for him, and I'm pretty sensitive to temperature when I'm trying to sleep so most people would be aok). And honestly if having A/C meant we'd have to give up the three things mentioned above, it wouldn't be worth it--they outweighed anything else for us. The place is just a stroll from Shipwreck Beach, and a twenty minute walk to Poipu and Brennecke beaches, which were incredible (we boogie boarded and saw turtles!), but if you wanted to you could easily drive (it's less than a five minute drive). There's a pool literally 50 yards away, but we chose to use the one across the resort that had a hot tub as well :) We had a lot of activities planned for the north and east shores of the island so I was a little concerned about staying on the south shore, but the island is so small that driving takes no time at all, so it's easy to explore the entire island from here. Overall we had an excellent stay so we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Kauai, and with Leesa it will be a stress-free process!

Thank you for allowing us to spend 2 weeks in your wonderful condo at Poipu Sands during the Holiday Season. It was definitely a memorable trip for us. We really loved your condo. It felt like we were truly staying at our home away from home. In fact, we felt more at home there than we do at our own home! One of the reasons we were attracted to it initially was that you had the same colour scheme as we have. When seeing it in person, it was so much nicer than we ever thought it would be. We really appreciate how well equipped the unit was. It was definitely hard to leave. Even though the weather could have been better, we loved it all!! Again, thank you Leesa and Jim for everything. We hope to come back again some day!

If you are looking for a great get away this is the place..The property is east access to the pretty beaches of Kaui and resturants,and water activites. if you want a great get away with great weather and easy access to the pretty beaches of Kaui this is the place. It is a must stay for families or just a romantic get awway for the two of you.. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this condo. Everything has been updated and feels nice and new. The unit was extremely clean, tastefully decorated and was a lovely place to come home to at the end of the day. We liked being able to walk to the beach in the morning and most other places of interest were a quick drive away. Great location to explore the South Shore -- we would highly recommend this condo to other visitors!

I loved my vacation on Kauai. It was my first visit to the islands, and I absolutely loved every moment. Part of what my trip so enjoyable was staying at Poipu Sands #215. Leesa & Jim Sadler have thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant one. The condo is exceptionally clean and inviting. The amenities are updated with personal touches. Although the location is not right on the beach, it is within walking distance. We drove to another beach because the one at our location was a little rough for swimmers. It's quiet and peaceful. If I get a chance to return, I would certainly stay here.

The condo was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Really loved the tastefully done Hawaiian decor. I enjoyed dinners out on the lanai with the wonderful Kauai weather. It was such a delight to wake up to this beautiful condo and I loved every minute of it. I did a lot of sightseeing and went to several of the beaches, but I always looked forward to getting back to the condo. I definitely want to come back, what a great place!

The condo was nicely appointed with comfortable furnishings. It appears to have recently undergone an upper scale remodel. The location is convienient to beaches, golf and other attractions. Extras such as kitchen equipment and beach chairs added to our enjoyment. The owners took a true interest in our comfort. We recommend it.

Your place was amazing!!!! The condo was clean, relaxing, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We had a great time walking a few short steps to the beach and pool. In addition, the Poipu Sands resort is in a perfect location. We drove around to other resorts and we feel that Poipu Sands was the perfect place b/c of location and perfect accommodations. Great Condo! Will definitely be back! The location is hard to beat - Some suggestions for dining in the area: Anything at the Hyatt was great - Stevenson's Library was spectacular! Don't miss the Shrimp Station in Waimea, everything in Waimea was great - Best shrimp on the island! Don't bother with dinner at the Beach House - drinks at sunset will give you the best value. Keoki's was fun and the fish was cooked perfectly. All in all - Perfect Kauai Vacation - Can't wait to return! Thanks again for providing such a top notch condo! Living in a tourist town, and having been in the lodging business for many years, we have become rather particular, and your unit exceeded our expectations!

Thank you for the lovely, perfect home base. The house is perfect- such a nice kitchen, living area, everything was wonderful. All of the beaches were so beautiful and the pool here was just as nice. We have had the most amazing honeymoon week in Kauai. Staying in your beautiful condo is just the first of many highlights including, a helicopter ride, kayaking the Wailua River to the Secret Falls, Smith's Luau, hiking the Kalalau Trail, Queen's bath and relaxing at numerous beaches. It truly has been the trip of our lifetime and we are already discussing when we can visit again. Thank you so much for your hospitality, directions and list favorite things to do.

My family has stayed in this lovely condo. the past two summers (2008 and 2009). We absolutely love the accommodations and the location. The decor is fabulous, the kitchen is fully stocked and the owners are wonderful. Last summer, the washer went out during our stay. I phoned Jim and Leesa, and they had a brand new unit delivered the next day. Our son loved sleeping on the pull-out in the living room and playing out on the grass right out of the lanai. Can't say enough about this unit!

Dan and I got married at Shipwreck Beach on 3/12/09 and stayed at your beautiful condo for both our wedding and honeymoon. We could not have asked for a more beautiful place! This really did feel like it was our home away from home. The condo had absolutley everything that we needed for our daily use. It is in a great location and was able to walk to the Hyatt or Shipwreck Beach and was only a few minutes to Poipu Beach, which is great for families (my nephews are less than 4 years old and loved it there and were very safe). Great location, everything was upgraded and beautiful and enjoyed every single minute there. PS- My family stayed at Jim and Leesa's other 2 bedroom unit at Poipu Sands and loved it as well. Another beautiful place with all the upgrades and an AMAZING patio and view. Many thanks from our entire family to yours. We cannot wait to go back and would recommend these 2 units to anyone in a heartbeat!

Our second trip to Kauai found us staying at this truly beautifully decorated condo in November. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and so well equipped. The weather, sunrises, flowers on the beautifully landscaped grounds..everything was perfect.. You need nothing else to live "Aloha" at this paradise location. We celebrated our 30th anniversary at the Hyatt..a beautiful stroll away. It really is your home away from home and we thank Leesa & Jim for sharing and their assistance...especially the heads up on Aloha Airlines!! Dreaming of our return to #215 one day..Mahalo
