With extraordinary sweeping views of the Estes valley, this luxury log home affords guests the grandiose seclusion of a mountain hideaway, but with the convenience of an in-town location.

Wrapped by pine-trees on one side and cliff-side vista views of the Rocky Mountains on the other, this beautiful and modern log home feels like a remote mountain retreat. Yet guests are less than a mile from all the downtown attractions such as go-cart tracks, putt-putt golf, art galleries, the Estes Park Brewery, and restaurants.

Relax in the outdoor hot tub as you overlook the Rocky Mountains from the elevated deck. The hot tub is open year-round. Nestled on a mountainside, Mont Blanc Chalet lets you enjoy the serenity and seclusion of the Rocky Mountains, yet you are only moments from all the attractions of Estes Park. (Contact owner directly about number of guests allowed)

Enjoying the beautiful mountain views of Estes Park

VRBO Bear stayed here - 02/26/2010 I decided to take the Bear family up to Estes Park, CO for a weekend of winter fun. Jack Frost decided to pay a visit to Estes Park, bringing along a foot of new snow and I was fortunate to have picked such a wonderful house to enjoy the snowy weekend. On the map, the Mont Blanc Chalet appears to be practically on the main road from Estes Park to Rocky Mountain National Park, but don’t be fooled – the road to the chalet requires a short drive up a winding mountain road. Once you’re there, you’d never realize that you’re so close to town. The wow factor at Mont Blanc is high; you enter the house from the driveway and walk up to the first floor and are greeted by a large living area with huge windows overlooking the Estes Valley. The whole bear family spent the first 10 minutes “oohing” and “aahing” over the house before we could even unload the Bearmobile.

The Mont Blanc Chalet is a comfortable home on three levels. The cubs loved the loft area with its bunk beds and immediately made themselves at home, while the grown ups appreciated the kid friendly touches like gates for the stairs and bed railings for the upper bunks. The large kitchen features granite tile countertops and all the appliances and cooking utensils you need to create your own meals, which were enhanced by the amazing view right from the dining room table. If there’s a restaurant in Estes Park with a better view, this bear hasn’t found it yet. The bear family enjoyed the sunny deck, complete with hot tub, and one highlight of the stay came when a family of mule deer made their way down the driveway and spent a good half hour browsing for their dinner right below the deck.

The wonderful thing about Mont Blanc is that even though it feels isolated, you’re only a short drive to everything Estes Park has to offer. The Fun City Amusement Park, the downtown area itself and the YMCA are all within 10 minutes, and Rocky Mountain National Park is just up the road. The YMCA was a highlight of the trip, and is a real hidden gem in Estes Park, offering all kinds of activities including roller skating, ice skating, and the new craft room, which provides an opportunity to make your own one-of-a-kind souvenirs and keepsakes.

I heartily enjoyed my vacation at the Mont Blanc Chalet and recommend that you take advantage of everything it has to offer!

Perfect Thanksgiving Script

Guest: Terry and Nicole, CA (-)
Date of Stay: 11/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/27/12

If someone wrote a script for a Thanksgiving that would be so special it would stay in our hearts always, this would be that story. 3 generations ages 4 to 69. Snow boarding, hot tubbing, hiking, animal watching, football, apple apps and sharing photos. Shared dinner prep of a ginormous turkey & tons of great food. Snow and a Christmas parade! With Snow!!

Great Thanksgiving

Guest: Terry and Nicole, CA (-)
Date of Stay: 11/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/27/12

Those are some of the 'events' our family shared in this amazingly beautiful wonderland. This Thanksgiving wrapped itself around us. Laughing, sharing hugs and funny stories, trekking in snow, playing games and hanging out, a romantic proposal. So if someone wanted to write a perfect Thanksgiving script - this is it!

Scenic views

Guest: Bob & Dolly, Scott & Dee, Mark & Crystal, Bob & V (-)
Date of Stay: 08/20/11 Review Submitted: 01/27/12

We also loved the scenery views. No wildlife seen at the house except chipmunks, hawks & hummingbirds. Just up road saw elk, mule deer & a bobcat or small mountain lion streak across road! Spent the week enjoying all of RMNP - saw moose, elk, mule deer, trout and 2 cinnamon colored bears and an eagle driving for a fish. Whitewater rafted with RMT- great fun. Rode horses around Moraine Park Stables - again great fun. Thank you for sharing your home & Colorado. We will return!

The house is beautiful and we enjoyed the deck. We hiked to Alberta Falls, rode horses at Glacier Creek Stables, picniced at Sprague Lake and the 2 dads hiked half of Longs Peak. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
