Our property, "The Old Richmond", is named for the pre-Civil War shipwreck that is still viewable a good way out in the ocean directly in front of the house. Not only does this piece of history add an intriguing element to the already picturesque view, it serves as a great landmark to your home away from home. Pelicans and seagulls often rest upon the remains and offer a great backdrop for some amazing family photos. An adventurous soul, myself included, may even be seen climbing upon it.
Our beach in Salvo is uncrowded and unspoiled. You will not have to fight for a spot on the sand. The ocean is a minute or two walk from the house and is accessible by a sand path. The house property line is as close to the ocean as you can get as it backs up to park service land.
