A fully renovated historic beach cottage with a gourmet kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD player, sound system, DSL, gas grill & private decks front & back make this a fun & relaxing place. The living room has comfortable rattan chairs & the bedroom has 400 ct sheets on a cozy queen bed & subtle lighting. A trundle bed nearby makes two twin beds & has a functional skylight above. The bathroom has spa quality towels, there's a washer/dryer & the cottage is VERY clean!
Listen to 100 yr old palm trees swaying in the ocean breeze on your back deck with a 10' high bamboo & wood fence with jasmine. Relax away stress with a glass of wine.
If you appreciate fine craftsmanship, you will enjoy the recent, masterful renovation of one of OB's oldest cottages by an award winning architect & a master carpenter.

- Covered Parking : It is not covered but there is one small parking spot on the property. You share a common driveway with the next cottage but then park to the left. Out of thirty or more guests we have had, only two were not comfortable with manuevering the drive. We have an SUV and have parked in the spot many times before.

We were evacuated during the California Wildfires and so we rented this cottage for four days. We really enjoyed staying there. I enjoyed the fact that because it has been recently renovated, everything was brand new. I am also a history buff and standing on the part of the back deck that used to be Wonderland simply intrigued and excited me. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and the decks gave us an opportunity to get away from people which is what I really needed to do. I loved the stained glass windows in the bedroom and bathroom and the sound system was pretty terrific. I have a penchant for wood, so I really enjoyed the paneleing and cabinets. They are beautiffuly done. The beach really is maybe a two minute walk away and the pier is very close. All and all my husband and I had a great time there and in spite of worrying whether or not our home would be there when we returned, we were truly able to relax and enjoy the beach community life and there is plently to do within walking distance. The only thing I could say that "could" be a problem is parking if you have more than one car. There is parking on the property for one car, otherwise you have to park on the street. Though it is a beach community which by nature has a lot of people, I felt very safe there. The cottage was setup the way it was presented in the advertising, it is clean and very well maintained, I didn't have to deal with the owner much but he responded to my questions or requests quickly. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to be at the beach but have privacy too. We mostly just cooked in the kitchen but we did go to Thee Bungalow for dinner one night and really enjoyed it.

The romantic night-time lighting in the living room and the bedroom make for such wonderful, enchanting memories. It's also great to know that you enjoyed our kitchen so much. A fabulous stay at Lotus Cottages. We had great weather – sunny, 70s and especially enjoyed the proximity to the beach – people watching – surfers, volleyball players, dog walkers, joggers, children mesmerized by the surf … as well as walking down the bike path along the river, with a plethora of birds on the left and skateboarders on the right. We loved Torrey Pines – both the beach and the hiking in the reserve. The cottage met all of our needs – a great home base.

First time in San Diego. Love, love, love Ocean Beach. Mostly just hung out on the beach, relaxing. Really great house! We grilled and relaxed on the deck. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to come back. Thanks for a great experience!

We loved the LotusCottage! Everything about it was perfect –location, layout and cleanliness. The LotusCottage staff were very helpful and always available to answer questions. We liked it so much we had all our friends that live locally come by to see it. After returning to OB after 25 years, it’s good to know it has not changed!! When we come back to OB we would definitely stay in the LotusCottage

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a week and loved every minute of it. Everything is so close which meant a lot since we had our six months old boy with us. We also recommend this well equipped kitchen as it made us tasty dinners every evening.

Both of us leave with many fond memories, not only of the OB community, but of our stay at Lotus Cottage, too. We love the Lotus Cottage! Great find. We had a lovely time with our family who live here. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner here at the Cottage. The BEST weather for dining on the deck. The children love the Cottage – so close to the beach. We love watching the dogs play in the Ocean. Thanks! We will be back!
