We just returned from spending a week at Carolina Cottage. The location could not be more perfect! It is 1 block to the beach and my 2 yr old walked it every day. We had 3 families with a total of 7 kids under the age of 6 and this house worked great! We were creative with sleeping arrangements but it worked out well (king and 2 queens occupied by 3 couples, twin beds occupied by 2 girls, the other queen bed slept 2 kids, one slept on the couch downstairs, and two slept on the floor in sleeping bags). The house was very clean and nice furniture. The pool was great and very clean! There were two nice playgrounds nearby that we visited frequently during our stay. The children's museum in charleston was great and about 15 min away. The only disappointment we had was storage space for clothing in the downstairs 2 bedrooms. Neither one had a dresser to put clothes away and we don't particularly like to live out of suitcases for an entire week. We were creative and used a table and night stands to stack our clothes on but a dresser would have been easier. We would recommend this house for others!

Carolina Cottage...a Great Place

We have stayed at Carolina Cottage twice now, July of 2009 and again in July of 2011. We have always had great stays here. The house is set up nicely with comfortable bedding, couches, chairs and eating areas. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items you will need as well as a full refrigerator and plenty of storage space in the pantry. The Carolina Cottage is an easy walk to the beach (and we have little ones) and the full-size private swimming pool at the house is one of the main reasons we continue to stay at this house! The fenced in backyard is also a great feature for families with children. Driving into Charleston or Mount Pleasant is a breeze from the house. The owners are extremely helpful and responsive to questions, concerns, etc. A forgotten necklace was found and returned in a matter of days! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to other families.

My husband and I took a long weekend in January and stayed here. The house was very clean and warm (since it was freezing outside). Located within walking distance of The Sea Biscuit and Acme Cafe which are both great breakfast places. Short distance to shopping areas at Towne Center and downtown Charleston is only about 15 minutes away. Cable and wifi were a plus. We'd love to go back in the warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful pool! I highly recommend staying here!

This place has it all- location, charm and a huge bang for your buck!! It can sleep a heard of people- we had 10 of us and everyone had their own bed and plenty of space to stretch out- the pool is so convenient to take a dip and the beach just a stone's throw away! you will not be disappointed! the decor is beachy cottage chic and everything is updated and well maintained-very comfortable and lots of room for children to romp in the back yard or on the beach- enjoy!!

The house is beautiful and had plenty of room for our big family. It was so close to the beach, and the pool in the back yard was great. It had everything we needed to make our vacation great. We will definetly stay here next time we visit Isle of Palms.

We recently stayed at this wonderful cottage one block from the beach and it was perfect. We enjoyed the open kitchen, dining and living room floor plan. The place is bright and well decorated in every room. It can easily sleep 10 or more people comfortably, but it was cozy enough for my family of 3. The pool out back is a wonderful place to be at the end of a day at the beach to have a bar-b-que and relax. I liked the deck on the front that opens to the living room. It's a great place to vacation and relax with all the amenities of home with a beach across the road!

This house was perfect for our family. It was very comfortable for our 10 family members and guests. The pool was delightful and the walk to the beach was no problem even for the 3,4, and 5 year old. We won't hesitate to stay here again!!

My family and I truly found paradise at this Carolina Cottage...from rocking on the porch at night listening to the ocean to taking a dip out back in the resort style pool! The home is the ideal arrangement for one or two families and the pool is the icing on the cake! The beach is just down the road making daily outings easy with children. The kitchen and eating areas are perfect for small get-togethers or large family affairs. The brand new furniture and decor is both functional and beautiful. This home also offers wireless Internet which made doing a little work during vacation easy! We are already planning to rent this home for next summer!! We highly recommend it to anyone.
