We came for a girls weekend at Folly Beach. The house exceeded our expectations in terms of views of the ocean and the accommodations. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The hot tub views were amazing. Even though the weather did not cooperate (rainy and windy the entire weekend) we had a fantastic time lounging in the hot tub and sitting on the porch. The golf cart is a wonderful amenity to have, and a great way to explore Folly. The beds were super comfy and the location can't be beat! Thanks so much for a wonderful home.

Wonderful Girls Trip

The location of this beach house was perfect! On the ocean, but also with gorgeous views of the sound/marsh. The screened in porch and deck (ocean facing) was absolutely perfect for early morning cups of coffee, yoga, lounging and reading. You also can't beat the view from the deck hot tub. We came with a group of girls for a mellow bachelorette weekend and we were blown away by this house. From one beach house owner to another, I understand the thought, time and work you put into your rental. Your special touches did not go unnoticed. The decor was beautiful and perfectly beachy. The one room we couldnt get out of was the kitchen. For us girls who like to cook, the kitchen and cookware you supplied was phenomenal. All the beds were very comfortable and everyone felt like they were at home. Your house is gorgeous and the perfect location for any type of getaway. Thank you and we hope to be back again soon!

A fabulous beach house!

We were sure we had picked a great house and this one surpassed our expectations. The property was tastefully redecorated a couple of years ago and it couldn't be more comfortable and welcoming. There are lots of spaces to get together as a group and some quite areas as well. We loved gathering in the kitchen, living room, or the screened in porch and the great room table was a perfect place for meals and cards. Not only is this house beautiful but it is exceptionally well maintained. We loved our location on the beach and the proximity to Folly Beach and Charleston. You won't be disappointed!

My family and I just completed a stay in this beautiful home and did not want to leave. The pictures online do not do justice to the class this home offers. Beautiful Sunrise, great place for all ages. We had 24-79 year old folks and everyone had a great stay. Don't miss The Lost Dog and the pizza place on Center Street, Wally's or Willy's can't remember, just ask, someone will know. Great TV, internet and movie selection. had a great game of Monopoly, although I still cannot beat the kids it was fun being together. We hope to return soon and this time I'll figure out how to get that beautiful dinning room table on the top of my van and back home. Carla & Robbie, thanks we hope to see you again soon. Thank you!

The location of this house was perfect. The views and closeness to the beach can't be beat. The rain kept us in a lot of the time. Only major problems we had were the beds were a little too hard for us, guess we are just pampered lol. Had a problem with the pool table being under the house and there was no ping pong table that we saw of. As far as being worth what we paid, with the exceptions listed. it was totally worth it.

Another Great Year at Folly Beach!!

This is our third year staying at this house and we can't even imagine going on vacation if not here! We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren aged 4 and under and this is house is perfect. We have plenty of room for sleeping, the screened porch is a great play area, and it is literally steps to be ocean!! We didn't get to stay a full week this year but our 5 days were the most relaxing and fun filled of the year so far!! Thank you, Carla, for sharing your beautiful home with us!! We had a ball again!

This is our second visit to this house and we enjoyed it as much, if not more, than the first time. From the quiet beach to the awesome screened in porch, this house is the most relaxing place one could find. During high tide, the water was two steps away. During low tide, we treasure hunted for shells. We even saw a baby loggerhead turtle making it's way to the water during one of your beach walks! If you are looking for a great rental, look no further. Carla and her family will take care of you!

Our week of family togetherness included 12 people ranging from ages 17 to 74. Your home on Ashley Avenue provided just the right mix of immediate beach access, ping pong and pool tables, tv/movie times, and the space we needed to enjoy each other's company. The Bose system and iPad were an unexpected but certainly welcome perk. Parking was never an issue, and access to the shops and restaurants were just a few minutes away. There's not one thing that any of us could come up with that could improve our vacation there. The appliances were modern and the decor updated and very tasteful. This is one house we would definitely reconsider booking in the future. We had a really great time.

Awesome,fabulous,beyond expectations--we loved our week at this house.Everything has been thoughtfully provided for a vacation to be remembered. What a great place to spend spring break. While the weather at home was cold here is was warm. The house had everything we would need; Close to great food down town. The Kitchen had everything we needed to cook Easter dinner. The kids had games; movies and ocean toys to use, no need to bring anything. Walk the beach every morning. Watch the sunrise. Great house. My trip with my husband, mother and aunt was, in all of our opinions, one of the best experiences of our lives. The pictures on the website, although beautiful, can not fully illustrate the true beauty of the home and the location. Since returning from our April trip, I think daily of the amazing time we had at Carla's beautiful home. My mother/aunt are boasting to all their friends in Ireland about what an incredible holiday they had. I hope we can make it a yearly treat. It was expensive but then again, you really do get what you pay for.... worth every last penny.. I will remember that view and the happy memories we made there for the rest of my life.

Folly Beach's Best

We just returned from a wonderful week stay at this beach house! We were 2 families (four adults and 5 children) who had a fantastic time. The home's proximity to the beach, along with the fabulous screened in porch, made those on "nap duty" feel like they were still part of the action. In fact, for the first time ever, I wanted to volunteer to be the person who stayed at the house with the children. The bedrooms were spacious and nicely appointed. It was so nice to wake up and see the ocean from our bedroom. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. We loved having the washer and dryer, too. We enjoyed taking a couple rides in the golf-cart down to the lighthouse. Our kids had a great time! It was fun to be in a less crowded area of Folly. This home WAS "loaded with luxury" as the advertisement states. The owners were available to answer questions, before, during and after our stay. It is very obvious that they love their home and love sharing it with others! You can NOT go wrong with this property!

We had 10 women in our party. We were daughters, nieces, cousins, sisters and aunts. We had never been to South Carolina so we had no idea what to expect. The beach was beautiful! The weather was great and we were there in May. The house completely exceeded our expectations! Not only is it beautifully decorated and very spacious--=plenty of room to accommodate 10 women, but it is so well equipped that we never had to or wanted to leave!! We cooked, we drank wine, we ate, we laughed, enjoyed the beach and the screened in porch! We never once turned the T.V. on!! Upon a recommendation, we did go to Charleston which we heard was a short drive and very charming...we enjoyed it...but we were truly content just staying at the beautiful beach home. No one needs to look any further than this home for a great vacation in a home that is so well taken care of. Loved it!

1st time in south carolina

myself,4 sisters and husbands traveled to south carolina in april for my sisters sons wedding that was held on the same street approx 15 houses away,we were there for the week before the wedding and had the most wonderful time,as soon as we started hearing the change in accents our vacation started.We loved the fact that everyone was so friendly and kind,when we shopped at stores the employees would stop to talk to us because they heard our accent,by the end of the week half of the area knew why we were there and wishing us a nice "weddin".we had so many plans for the week but once you got to the house you did not want to leave! you did'nt have to-anything and everything was there for you and if you did go out you were anxious to get back-i i came home with money! there were twelve of us there and on any given day more then half of us were doing different things in the house,the ocean sounds are so comforting day or night,we all offered to cook during the week because it was so much fun to be in the kitchen and a part of all the activity too,we even enjoyed doing the laundry! it was very relaxing and went by much to fast,we had sunshine the whole time we were there and i was able to take a picture of the most beautiful sunrises everyday,i would send the picture to my friends at home and they used them as there screensavers on there cell phones,this home is so well maintained inside and out you only need your clothes and food,honestly you have everything a person could possibly need here,everyone deserves a little r&r in a home like this even if it was for one day but you could never stay for just one day and you will want to come back again like i do, the only problem is that i would want to come back to the same thing i left,and that is the good life on folly beach, south carolina so i say Thank You so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home for the week we were there,it was as memoriable for everyone as the wedding.!

Relax on Folly Beach...

After a two day drive back home and the unpacking and reorganizing that we all must do after a little adventure away, I'm thinking of all of the wonders of Folly Beach. Catching the morning sunrises with a walk on the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun while reading a book with my toes in the sand, and listening to the rolling waves all throught the night. Those were my favorite things!! Thank you Folly Girls for sharing your beautiful home with us! Upon opening the front door, the first view of the ocean straight through the open living area was breathtaking! Before we did anything else, we went outside to breathe in the ocean air. With comfy linens, fluffy towels and interesting books galore, this home was comfortable in every way. This was also the first time I've ever enjoyed cooking on vacation! The kitchen is organized wonderfully and every utensil and cook-piece we needed was there!! Being able to watch our boys playing in the sand from the lofted comfort of the deck was wonderful. I hope to come again someday!

Entering this beautiful holiday home, took our breath away - it was simply out of this world! Every aspect of the property was outstanding, from the high visual appeal of the superb quality decor and furnishings, to the very personal touches that helped to create such a wonderfully relaxed and luxurious ambience. There was even a kettle, so we could make a cup of tea! As a group of eight adults, we particularly appreciated the spaciousness of the living areas, including the very generously sized dining table, around which we enjoyed many,long leisurely meals. The pool table, beneath the house, also proved to be a very popular social venue, and a great all-weather facility. However, the jewel in the crown, was undoubtedly the magnificent deck and hot tub(overlooking a stunning vista of the beach)with steps leading directly down onto the sand. We had so much fun here!The feel-good factor entered the stratosphere every time! Thank you so much, Carla and Mary Ann, for weaving your magic in creating such a uniquely special and unforgettable holiday home. Having rented many different holiday properties, in many different countries, this one stands out as being in a league of its own. Many precious memories of our stay here, will be shared amongst us, for a long time to come. We couldn't fault anything about this house - apart from having to leave it. If you're looking for a place to relax where all your comforts have been taken care of, this is the place. Folly Beach is a magical place untouched by time. We used the golf cart to explore the town. We relaxed in the hot tub while listening to the roaring waves of the ocean. Nine of us ages 8 months to 62 years never felt crowded in the house. We had all the comforts of home and then some, in a beautiful setting called Folly Beach.

We can't thank you enough for the WONDERFUL home you shared with us for the long weekend. My husband and I took our three children and their families for a long Labor Day weekend and have already decided we want a whole week next year! We had three babies/toddlers and this place was perfect. The screened porch was a great outside play area where we didn't have to worry about sunburn. The nearness to the beach made it so easy to run out for short times and get back inside when we needed to! I can't say enough good things about your home - we WILL be back!! Thanks!!!

My family stayed at this lovely beach house this summer and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We couldn't get over how homey the house was. The furniture, decorations, linens, kitchen supplies, etc are all just as you would find in someone's private home. They had everything we needed to enjoy the beach including boogie boards and beach chairs. We loved spending time on the screened porch. The master bath was luxurious, and the view from the master suite is fabulous! They even had a little room off of the master that was perfect for us to have our 9 month old sleep in (complete with pack and play and rocking chair!) Folly is a great place to vacation with its relaxed atmosphere. Our favorite times were spent taking walks on the beach. We even came across a loggerhead turtle nest that had hatched and helped a baby turtle to the water! Priceless memories! I would highly recommend this vacation property!

It was our lucky day when last year I found this home to rent for our family. Ages of our group ranged from 12 to 77 and each one of us loved this week in South Carolina. The beach was perfect; warm, great surfing waves, and close to the house, steps away from the front door. All our needs were catered to from the thick towels provided to the fresh flowers on the table. We spent most of our time on the enclosed porch when not on the beach or exploring Charleston. There were some great casual restaurants right in Folly Beach. We had a great time riding the provided golf cart, especially taking several trips to the convenience store a short distance from the house. If you enjoy wine, we were amazed at the choice wines for sale at this local store. Everywhere we went people were great. Most of us jet skied, took a ghost walk in Charleston and shopped. I couldn't say enough nice things about this rental. Oh yes, our son lost his prescription sun glasses. Carla found them, called to let us know, and immediately mailed them back. Talk about customer care!!

25 July-01 August 2009 Our family just returned yesterday from one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever experienced. The pictures on this website are so inviting and don't even do this home justice. From the minute you walk in the door you feel like you're at home. It's comfortable and inviting and has more amenities than you could ever want or expect in a vacation home. The views are tremendous and once you're there, you never want to leave. Thank you so much for providing our family everything we needed to wind down and relax from our busy lives and just spend time being a family. You have created such a haven for relaxation. We just got back from our weeks vacation, our "girls trip". Can't say enough about the house! Plenty of room for all of us, very comfortable. We spent our days on the beach enjoying the beautiful sunny weather, and our nights on the porches, screened and outside. Usually we try to get a place with a pool, but this was our first trip without one and honestly, we didn't miss it. What a great place for a relaxing vacation! The house was everything we hoped for and more for our cousins' reunion. It was spacious, very comfortable and exceptionally clean, and the decor was beautiful. We were suprised at the quality of the decor--but it didn't feel like museum with items you couldn't touch. The library of books and DVDs was great, too. From the towels to the pool table, wine glasses, bath soap, telephone service and beyond, you thought of everything! The location was wonderful too. Just returned from a long weekend in this beautiful beach house with every amenity you need for a carefree and relaxing vacation. The house was immaculate and looked as if it was brand new. Plenty of room for clothes, towels, etc. There were 7 of us and when we entered the front door, we were literally awestruck. Thank you so much for such a wonderful beach experience with an awesome view of the ocean and shore, along with the wonderful sounds of the sea. We will not hesitate to rent this property in the future. We have been completely spoiled. Thanks for making our trip run so smoothly with the planning and our visit.

Though Im leaving this comment a little under a year after staying at your property, I am still amazed at how great everything was. The house its self was amazing, more than enough room even for the 10 people we had staying there. Though only there for 3 days, it felt like home by the end of the trip. The location is great as well. I couldn't have asked for a better view of the beach. Also, the hot tub and the section of railing that folded down for an unobstructed view of the beach was great. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a long weekend at the beach.

We just returned from our second visit to your beautiful Folly Beach house. We thought your home was perfect last year and couldn't wait to go back. We couldn't believe that you could improve perfection, but that's just what you did! The new door and wall of windows overlooking the beach really opens up the living room and let's the gorgeous view in! The weather was beautiful most of the time, but even when it was too windy to be outside the view from the living room was so outstanding we didn't miss a thing. And oh, that golf cart -- our three-year old grandson loved going for rides in Aunt Molly's widdle car! Thank you for sharing your home with us again. We're already planning next year's visit!

What a great place to stay! We had great weather too. The house worked perfectly with our two little kids. They were able to play on the beach whenever their heart desired, come in and eat a snack, go back and play. The house was beautiful and well kept. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night under the full moon! I highly recommend this house (and we have stayed in quite a few vacation rental houses). Thanks for sharing!

I will never forget driving along the road looking for this house and then suddenly, there it was! You rent these things nervously over the internet and wonder if it will ever live up to the description and photos and I can tell you, it did! This house is simply beautiful. There is not one thing we could fault or any suggestion we could make to improve it. It is even nicer than the photos and the location is great. We spent hours on the beach, in the hot tub, playing pool... it was heaven. My wish is that we can come back!

We celebrated my dad's retirement in August in Folly Beach and had a better time than we could have imagined! Our party included 6 adults and 5 small children and the house accomodated everyone perfectly. The kids loved the loft off the master and made it their official club house. We compared the house to the HGTV dream house - it's beautiful! Folly Beach itself is the ideal little beach town we envisioned and we look forward to many returns!

I had searched and searched for a lovely up-to-date place for my family to stay when they came to town for the weekend. Right when I saw this house, I knew it was perfect. My mother and I were amazed the second we walked in the door on the quality and taste that this house was touched with. Everything from the beautiful beadspreads and blankets, to the lovely furniture and the perfect ocean views. Lots of love was put in this house which made it easier to just relax and feel right at home with my family. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your home. It was a weekend full of great memories!!

We just got back from a week in Folly and what more can we say but it was amazing!!! This home is the perfect location on the beach...great amenities, nicely furnished, great waves, perfect beach view, all the comforts of home. Everything exceeded our expectations -- we are already eager to book this house again for next year. What more can we say but Thank you for sharing your home with us -- it made for a truly memorable family vacation!

This fabulous house on Folly Beach is a wonderful place to vacation. The house has everything you could possibly need. The screened porch, deck, and hot tub are all great places to spend time. The beach is beautiful; and the home's proximity to Charleston makes it easy to enjoy the historic city. My family and I hope to return SOON! Tracy Wilson and family

Wow! We just returned and still are talking about all the great things that we experienced while visiting Folly Beach! We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect. The house was incredible! It had everything we could want. From beach towels to great reading material as well as movies. It was awesome. And so close to Charleston. We had a great time learning about the history and exploring a great city to come back to the incredible views from the house and porches. We couldn't have found a better house than this one. We are looking forward to when we can return again. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful beach house with our family. Your home is absolutely flawless! The design and floor plan of the home offered fabulous views from most rooms, cosy gathering places when we all wanted to be together, and refreshing private havens when we each needed our own space. Your attention to detail is extraordinary -- it was fun to discover delightful little treasures sprinkled on countertops, bookcase shelves, and centerpieces. We took advantage of both your interesting book and DVD libraries -- thank you for making entertainment so convenient. We cannot express how much we enjoyed our time in Folly Beach. Just know that we are busy planning our next trip to your place -- we hope that this week's visit was the first of many more!

We've found the perfect house on the perfect beach. What a glorious vacation!! Everything was immaculate and delightful - a beautiful array of bath and beach towels stacked by color; more than enough glasses, plates, and cooking utensils; and puzzles, movies, and games for our entertainment. Moreover, the floor plan was perfect for our party of nine. We look forward to our next visit.

We stayed almost a week at the house with our two teens and had a terrific time. The house is beautiful and sits right on the beach with everything you could want or need, including a hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean. There is lots of room and the furniture, linens and bathrooms are new, comfortable and immaculate. I highly recommend a stay here. We certainly plan to go back very soon. (PS. There's also a very nice and roomy screened porch with cushy furniture if you want to avoid the sun but like to hear the surf. As I wrote, the house has everything.)

Beautiful house. Beautiful beach. Just a short drive from shopping in Charleston or horseback riding at Middleton Place. Our family vacation at 1561 E. Ashley was wonderful. Favorite moments included sitting in the hot tub at midnight with a full moon casting light sparkles along the breaking waves. Or watching an electrical storm over the ocean while singing along to the Beatles. And the DVD library is fabulous. A couple of evenings, we cozied up on the sofa and laughed or cried along with a good movie. It was a perfect getaway. Thank you so much for sharing such a magical spot with us. We cannot wait to return.
