My partner and I stayed in Casi Cielo between Christmas and New Years 2011 and it was the best vacation experience. Heather and Stu were so helpful and kind. The accomodations were clean, bright, and had everything we needed. The area is a perfect combination of very remote but close enough to have adventures. The beach right outside was peaceful and quiet. We saw whales and sting rays. Heather and Stu are so knowledgable about the area and were the best tour guides. I highly recommend this place.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Deb (Saskatchewan Canada) Review submitted: March 20, 2011 Date of arrival: February 26, 2011 This past month was our fifth visit to Casi Cielo and we plan to keep going back as often as we can. Every visit recharges all our batteries with the beautiful views, sun and the peace and quiet with just the sound of the ocean to put you to sleep every night. Every visit is a little different as Heather and Stu tell us about the new restaurants they've discovered maybe a new site to see, or a new place to shop. They are terrific hosts, so very helpful and friendly. They totally take away the hassle of getting to the destination right from the start as they meet you at the airport, take you grocery shopping , help you to rent a car if you so choose. Once you arrive at Casi Cielo the views take your breath away! You may never want to leave this perfect spot! Whether your vacation is to just veg and enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet, enjoy a walk on the beach every day, or do some horseback riding, maybe ride an ATV on the beach. Casi Cielo has all this, close by. If you want a taste of the authentic Mexican life take a scenic walk into Higuera Blanca for some real Mexican food, pick up some fresh fruit and any other groceries you might want. From this little village the buses run regularly into PV and all towns north and south of here, the buses are vary user friendly if you don't want to be your own driver. Just a leisurely walk down the beach from Casi Cielo is some very fine dining at Tranquilla if you want to treat yourself. Casi Cielo is a wonderful experience for the vacationers who aren't into the busy nightlife, just want to unwind and enjoy the scenery. It also makes a great home base for day trips, with lots of interesting Mexican towns to sightsee and maybe do a little shopping in, and when you get back to Casi Cielo maybe just in time for the sunset. I’d bet you spend the next day doing nothing but enjoying this wonderful vacation spot. Recommended for: age 55+

Mexico at its Finest

Once you land at the airport in Puerto Vallarta, Heather and Stu will be waiting for you. They will take you to one of the local grocery stores and if you like, walk with you from aisle to aisle to buy all the food and drink you will need for your holiday. After you’ve walked the grocery aisles, it’s always fun to take Heather and Stu for a lovely dinner at an ideal spot that they will choose, before arriving at your breathtaking ocean view suite. Heather and Stu are there for you if you would like to do a little exploring away from your suite, or they will leave you alone to enjoy your holiday in private. Whatever type of holiday you are looking for – you will find it with Heather and Stu. Their home is located in one of the safest areas in Mexico and the amenities are superb. We have been spending our winter holiday with Heather and Stu now for 6 years in a row and as soon as we arrive, it feels like coming home. Make this your “coming home” holiday. A relaxing home away from home

We have stayed at Casi Cielo several times and enjoyed every visit. The hosts are there to help you from the time you land at the airport to the time you leave. They are good at knowing what visitors want and are very familiar with the area and the surrounding communities and countryside. We enjoy the privacy of the accomadations and the beutiful setting. It is off the beaten tourist path and is great place to walk on beach when there are few people around or enjoy wildlife on the natural trails close by, The nearest small village offers a few amenities, a chance to see real Mexico and enjoy its friendly inhabitants. We have not had any concerns for our safety on our visits. If you enjoy exploring this a great base camp for driving to other surrounding villages and areas each with its own character.
