Come enjoy our beautiful 3-bedroom villa with private swimming pool in the heart of Provence! Located in Les Angles, just 2 minutes from the center of historic Avignon, our home, tucked at the end of a private cul-de-sac, offers a peaceful, private respite amid the pine trees and the songs of the cicadas. The neighborhood is extremely quiet yet within walking distance to Les Angles' markets, cafes, patisserie/boulangerie, newsstands, etc.
The house is a traditional Provencal villa that was built in 1990 with all modern conveniences and volumes. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and 2 with double beds. In addition, the sofa converts into a double bed. There are two full bathrooms, one with a standing shower and one with a bathtub. The open living room/dining room with fireplace has doors to the pool and terrace, making it ideal for entertaining outdoors during warm, summer evenings. Beautifully appointed, this lovely home away from home will make your time in Provence comfortable and memorable.
Les Angles is ideally located for exploring all that Provence has to offer: the sights of Avignon, including its well known theater festival--Festival d'Avignon, the beaches of the Mediterranean (1 hr), the antique markets of L'Isle sur Sorgues (30 mn), hiking, biking and skiing at Mont Ventoux (45 mn), the Camargue (1 hr) and Luberon (45 mn) areas, the food and wines of this region (Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Cotes du Rhone, etc), and the many charming historic nearby villages (Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux).

Four Women - Le Voyage a Provence We rented the villa because it had two bathrooms, not one. This is a very big deal when 4 women are involved. The owner was thoughful and helpful from the beginning and her follow through with the trip was thorough and comprehensive. She was flexible regarding our potentially changing dates and provided excellent guidance in our itinerary and the neighborhood features of the villa's location in Les Angles, a fine suburb of Avignon. We were met by the caretaker, who reviewed the details of the house and lovely pool with us upon arrival. He also returned to verify the condition of the house prior to our departure. The house fronts a beautiful "Impasse", a tiny street which is quiet and peaceful. Very safe neighborhood. We made day trips to 29 towns during our 12 day stay and this villa was a perfect location for getting out of town and into adjacent towns. There are a number of grocers, bread and pastry shoppes and restaurants, all within walking distance from the property. The villa was very clean and organized. All was extremely well functioning, including a washing machine and dryer, along with a back yeard clothes line and a "boules" court near pool. My friends and I all remarked that the quality of the MATRESSES was superb and none of us slept poorly on the trip due to bed issues. We brought several DVDs about Provence for watching at night and enjoyed a lovely Sony TV and DVD player, all of which made movie nights pleasurable. The Wi-Fi was also a tremendous help for 3 of us who are business women. Three bedrooms would be perfect for 3 couples as well, or 4, if the pull out couch was implemented. This is a perfect place to stay and without any reservations, I would recommend it to any one looking for the peaceful villa and not a "hotel" sort of vacation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

What a lovely and comfortable villa for the young and old (toddler and seniors)! Our group of 5 adults and a 20 month old toddler enjoyed the villa's pool, pétanque court, and amenities which allowed us to enjoy Provençal living when not on excursions. The villa is just a short uphill walk to boulangeries/patisseries, grocery stores, fruit stand, just as the owner described. The villa's location is ideal for visits to Avignon, St Rémy, Chateauneuf du pape, and Orange. Séguret is another nearby town you must visit! The owner, Jennifer, is very helpful addressing questions and concerns. A binder with information about the villa, Les Angles, and places to visit awaits you at the villa. We enjoyed our stay at the villa and hope to visit again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in this villa for 2 weeks with my 80 and 84 year old in-laws and 4 year old. We all enjoyed it. The property was clean and the description/photos very accurate. The owner is extremely helpful and gave a thorough review of the home and area before we went. The caretaker is very polite and helpful, but you must know French quite well to communicate with him (my husband could). We spent many afternoons outside, in the pool (which was cold but refreshing because it was quite warm out) and on the boule court. We chose to drive to the boulangeries and grocery of choice but there was a boulangerie in walking distance. My husband and I walked into Avignon for dinner which was a nice 35-40 minute stroll, and felt safe returning even late at night. The location was ideal for traveling all over Provence, including to the ocean (only 1 hr to the Camargue). Near the end of our stay it was getting quite hot, and we would have favored one more fan at night, but that was a minor issue. Overall a fantastic, peaceful retreat well-suited for a family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

The major question -- would we stay again? Absolutely -- no hesitation. My wife and her parents spent six nights at the villa in Les Angles, which is as close as you can get to the center of Avignon without having the hustle and bustle of a city intruding on the tranquility of the villa. We were greeted by the caretaker when we arrived. He did an excellent job explaining the features of the villa. While not a requirement, it was advantageous having a french-speaking member of the group as we did a walkthru of the villa. The master bedroom was on the ground floor, which was very convenient for my in-laws. The two bedrooms above were very clean and comfortable. All rooms were super-clean, airy and comfortable. In the morning, it was wonderful to enjoy breakfast on the patio by the pool. One nice feature of the patio was the shading it offered. And being located in a cul-de-sac, the villa was very quiet at night. I have to say I probably had some of the best night's sleep there given how relaxing the place was. There are grocery stores located not far from the villa. And make sure to visit the town of Les Angles given how picturesque it looks.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My wife and I stayed in this house in June along with another couple who also love to travel and particularly to France. It was the perfect base of operation for exploring Avignon and the surrounding areas. The first floor of the house opens up to a pool area that is perfect for outdoor dining, swimming and enjoying the local wines. There are numerous close local restaurants that are very good without being to expensive. I suggest deferring to the notebook that the owner has in the dining/living room area for local recommendations. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer than a week. Also important is that the wifi connection worked perfectly for all of us and we were able to keep our clients needs met in the US while on vacation in France. Every venue says the wifi works but sometimes they don't and that's a major problem.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Beautiful, clean house with a very convenient location for visiting all of Provence. A brasserie, boulangerie and small market are all within a 5 minute's walk from the house. Our party of 6, which included my two young boys, felt very comfortable here. The owner, Jennifer, was very helpful in answering our questions and providing us with information regarding the area. I highly recommend this house to families with children of all ages.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
