Wild Salmon Retreat is an authentic Packwood Chalet that is nestled alongside a secluded stretch of the Cowlitz River; enjoy the magnificent view of the Tatoosh Range, trees and abundant wildlife. We are unique offering first class accommodations, in woodland seclusion and private access to the Cowlitz River. Our cabin, perfect for a special get away, sits (one fifth of a mile) off the privacy of the Cowlitz River and is only minutes to your favorite recreational activity. We are located just 2 miles east of Packwood and 17 miles from White Pass Ski area.
Wild Salmon Retreat is decorated with antiques and warmth, a spacious living area with skylights, and the bedrooms are attractively decorated with quilts and comforters promising you sweet dreams.
WINTER brings snow covered trees and beautifully groomed trails that you can enjoy while snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skiing, or snowboarding. Only a short distance from Packwood, White Pass is a winter oasis where you can find all these activities and more. Building snow people, coming into a warm cozy fire, curling up with a great book, or soaking in the hot tub are all part of your experience.
SPRING/SUMMER brings river rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and just simply soaking in the glorious rays of the sun. For the adventurous types, a refreshing dip in the river is a few steps from your doorstep.
AUTUMN arrives with abundant colors as the leaves turn. Hikes along the Cowlitz River, or bicycling, are two enjoyable activities this time of year. Photographers love to capture the seasons in the valley, and autumn is a particularly delightful time.
