Avoid the dinginess, expense, poor location, and impersonality of the common Missoula hotel, and come enjoy our cozy, furnished home—-close to everything and yet close to, well...nothing.
The pictures tell a lot of the story, but here is some more information about the place:
-- 2 blocks to Greenough Park
-- 2 blocks to Mt. Jumbo “L” trailhead
-- 4.5 blocks to I-90, yet no Interstate noise!
-- 1/2 mile from Albertson’s/Ace Hardware shopping center
-- Walk to UM (<1 mile walk to the Law School—footbridge over the Clark Fork makes walk shorter than driving)
-- Walk downtown (<1 mile to Higgins @ Spruce [Break Espresso/Wordens]—half of the walk is through Greenough Park)
-- 1.3 miles to St. Patrick’s Hospital
-- <4 miles to Rattlesnake Wilderness Area trailheads
-- 5 miles from the Blackfoot River, < 1 mile from Clark Fork River
-- 25-30 minutes to Snowbowl (I’ve clocked myself at 20 minutes from front door-to-parking lot, but that rate is not recommended, even with widened Snowbowl Road)
THE HOUSE:
The house is nicely furnished, and we are making improvements regularly to the ambiance, amenities and furnishings
2 bedroom:
1 master with queen bed, two cedar closets, tall dresser, TV, two windows, and nightstand. Built-in cedar cabinets and dresser just outside bedroom door. (Ceiling fan, new window treatments, and artwork soon to come.)
1 smaller bedroom/study. Has computer desk with laser printer/scanner; wireless high-speed internet; full-sized, brand-new very comfy futon (not the college apartment style); large closet; French doors open up to large back deck.
1 bathroom: Ultra-clean bathroom with shower/tub—window in shower has great view of the Bitterroot Range! Built-in shelving, medicine cabinet; built-in towel cabinet just outside; shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. (Going to tile the bathroom soon, w/ sub-tile heat.)
Den: Huge den area features working wood-burning fireplace; flat-screen TV with 200+ channels, Showtime/TMC; DVD; surround sound; tons of windows; stylish glass coffee table; end table; super-comfy couch; leather recliner (not your grandpa’s La-Z-Boy); dining area with high-top table. Broom closet and large coat closet adjoin den in foyer/hall area.
Huge Kitchen: Tons of countertop space; front-loading washer/dryer (H.E. detergent provided); self-cleaning gas range; DW; microwave; heavy-duty blender; coffee maker; toaster; flatware, silverware, glassware, and cooking utensils included. (New tile, stone countertops, and disposer coming soon!)
General: hardwoods throughout bedrooms and den; linens, blankets, pillows, mattress cover, and towels all provided; privacy blinds throughout; ceiling fan in den (more fans to come).
OUTSIDE:
Quiet street in front and very private alleyway in back. Front yard is nice, especially in non-cold months. Backyard is large and has huge deck; charcoal grill and patio furniture. Great, tall, new, wooden, privacy fence. Nicely treed.
MANAGEMENT:
An on-site manager (UM Law student) lives in completely separate quarters (TOTALLY independent level of main house). He is available for all security, safety and maintenance concerns.
