Our condo (5F) is a large three-bedroom, three-bath Condo (over 1900 square feet including lanais)...it's the largest floor plan available at the resort. You can sleep up to eight comfortably and you’ll have plenty of room to relax and enjoy the warm breezes and sunshine that the South Kohala/Waikoloa Beach Resort area offers.

You’ll get use of the beautiful Hali'i Kai Beach Club with a gorgeous pool (small children will love the shallow pool play area), fitness room, BBQ, lounge area, restaurant and bar--all with a cliff-side view of the ocean. One of the most beautiful places on earth! You may never want to leave the resort.

Hali'i Kai is located next to the famous Waikoloa golf course with the Hilton Waikoloa just a short walk away ($80 per day for a family of four are offered to enjoy their resort amenities if they are not full). The King’s Shops and Queen's Shops provide restaurants and shopping within the resort area. There are many beaches close by to enjoy. Hali'i Kai is approximately 20 minutes from the Kona airport.

Our Villa includes:
-High-quality furnishings.
-The upstairs master bedroom, with it’s own private lanai, has an ocean/golf course view. The en suite master bathroom includes a stall shower, a large soaking tub, and walk-in closet. A flat-screen LCD TV, DVD Player and I-Pod compatible speaker system.
-The 2nd upstairs bedroom has two twin beds, and a separate bathroom with a stall shower.
-The Downstairs queen bedroom with flat-screen LCD TV, DVD Player and radio (I-pod compatible). Adjacent to the bedroom is a third bathroom with a tub/shower.
-We have supplied a very comfortable queen Aerobed for use in the the twin bedroom or family room to allow the unit to accommodate up to eight people.
-The kitchen has granite counter-tops with new appliances and all you need to either cook your own meals or enjoy take-out on the lanai (this is where we eat most of our meals).
-A laundry room with a washer and dryer are also available in the unit.
-Free Wireless Internet

The Great Room has a Flat-Screen Plasma TV, DVD Player, and Stereo system (iPod-compatible), Dining Table and chairs, and stools for the counter. The vaulted ceiling gives the unit a feeling of spaciousness and light. The lanai off of the great room has a golf course and ocean view.

The Tennis Courts and Basketball Court are located just a few steps from the unit.

During whale season (December-April) it’s easy to see humpbacks swimming directly off the coast from the Ocean Club. No need to take excursions when you’ve got a premier view from the shoreline. With sunsets off the horizon and the sounds of waves crashing in the background; it truly creates a pleasing and therapeutic environment for all to enjoy.

There is so much to do within just a few minutes (helicopter rides, beaches, luau's, shopping, fishing, golf, K ranch, Whale-watching, Scuba, Snorkeling, incredible restaurants and so much more). The area and resort are truly "hidden gems." Hali'i Kai provides a luxurious home base from which you can explore the entire Big Island and its many picturesque beaches. We will give guests great tips on where to eat, play and shop!

Be advised, Hali'i Kai Resort collects a one time check-in fee of $30.00 + tax for each reservation (regardless of stay duration or number in party or whom the reservation is booked through). The check-in fee allows guests access to the property and Ocean Club facilities and includes the following:

2. Two (2) Welcome Drink coupons
3. Two (2) Twenty Percent (20%) off Restaurant Coupons

  • We just returned from 10 days at Hali’i Kai Unit 5F & we had a fantastic trip! The condo was spacious, beautifully decorated, & fully equipped with everything we needed for the perfect vacation. We enjoyed the spectacular Hali’i Kai ocean-side pool and sandy-bottom hot tub every day. We saw whales from our comfortable pool lounge chairs as well as from the work out facility right next to the pool every day. We ate a few times at the pool side restaurant/bar and were very pleased with the high quality of food and friendly service. So the condo itself was great & the well-maintained Hali’i Kai property is an ideal launching point for activities both inside the Waikoloa Beach Resort area as well as around the Big Island. What else is there to say? The owner of unit 5F was friendly, responsive, helpful, and paid attention to the little details that help make a good vacation a great vacation! We highly recommend this condo!

  • This was my first visit to the "big island" and what a treat to be able to spend a week with 5 friends at this 5 star condo. The condo had everything a person could want to make a vacation perfect. Large rooms to sleep all of us comfortably, relaxing atmosphere with a Lanai off the dining area and master bedroom, great pool area to swim and relax. The food and service at the pool area was first class and they made us feel at home. I want my husband to have this experience so looking forward to another visit at Hali Kai.

  • This is a beautiful condo with fabulous views overlooking the golf course and ocean. It is tastefully furnished and spacious. The pool area is very inviting as is the adjoining out-door restaurant/bar. The location is great - close to shops and upscale hotels. There were 6 in our group and we had plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this condo.

  • Fabulous place!!! Views were great and very relaxing to sit on the balcony and just veg-out!!! The pool area was absolutely beautiful and the staff at the cafe' was very friendly and accommodating. The exercise room in the pool area was super with a view of the ocean. The location is also convenient to the airport and Kona locations. All in all, an absolutely fantastic place for a vacation.

  • The week spent here with 5 friends was wonderful! The condo was spacious enough to accommodate 6 women. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was very inviting and on the whole, the condo was very comfortable and relaxing. I especially enjoyed the balcony for my morning coffee. The kitchen was adequately furnished for all of our needs. Needless to say, we did not do much cooking. The resort itself has a wonderful restaurant and the employees are "great fun"! We all enjoyed the pool area. The condo is close to the Hilton and Marriott. The Kings & Queens Courts were handy for groceries & Merriman's was a great restaurant in the Kings Court. I would absolutely go again to this area. It is a very restful place if that is what you are looking for on a vacation.

  • We recently spent a week at this property and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect on the sunnyside of the big island. It was a great jumping off point for the day trips we took and was wonderful to come back. Frankly, I know our kids enjoyed staying at the pool more than anything else. However, if you want to explore there are great beaches nearby with plenty of turtles and fish to see, and of course, there is always the volcano (which our kids enjoyed second best to the pool). The condo itself is very nice and spacious. The entire family enjoyed being able to get some down time without tripping over each other. It is located just far enough from the pool so that you aren't disturbed by any noise but with in easy walking distance. We are definitely looking forward to going back and would highly recommend it.

  • 6 of us had a wonderful week long stay at the condo. It slept all of us very comfortably. Patio was wonderful for early morning coffee and planning for the day and the dining area was wonderful for some lively card games. The location was near to the beautiful pool, which we enjoyed a lot and tennis courts, if we had wanted to play. My criteria for vacations is "would I go again"? The answer in this case is absolutely!

  • We just returned from a 10 day stay here and didn't want to come home! The house itself is beautiful and comfortable with pretty decor and a spa-like atmosphere---the master bath is fantastic---and was plenty big enough for our family of four and another couple to stay in with everyone having their own bathrooms. In all honestly, we spent most of our time on the premises as they were so relaxing and inviting that they just were the vacation answer we were looking for. The poolside bar and restaurant has great food with friendly service who also provided us with local tips on secret dive and snorkel spots, and Craig the bartender mixes a mean mai tai (as him for his secret specialty drink menu if you're feeling adventurous). The pool itself is great with three different levels and a lava rock waterfall in the middle. Our two year old loved the first level which is 1.5 feet deep and he was swimming by the time we left. The hot tub has a sandy bottom and was surrounded by pretty tropical landscaping. The nearby beaches were terrific as well as the shopping and restaurants within the vicinity. We can't wait to go back!

  • We had an awesome week at this condo!! This spacious unit is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was loaded with everything you need. The beds were top notch - down pillows/comforters. Tennis and hoops were right out the door and the pool was a nice walk away. The pool area is great - waterfall and fountain for the kids, personable bartender (Craig) for the adults - all with a great view. The workout room was an unexpected bonus - it's doors open up to an amazing ocean view and I saw whales every morning while running on the treadmill. I HIGHLY recommend this condo!!

  • Our family went to Maui for spring break a couple of years ago and we decided to try the big island this year for mid winter break (February 2008). We (parents and 4 kids ages 6-10) thoroughly enjoyed staying at the condo. While we didn't spend a lot of time in the condo other than sleeping and mornings, it was very nicely furnished with a great kitchen. The condo looks out over the golf course and is a short walk from the pool on the point. Our typical day was sleeping in a bit, eating breakfast in the condo, heading to a local beach (we tried several), then back for afternoon/evening at the pool. The pool location is ideal for whale watching and we were treated to a lot of whale activity every day during our stay. I would highly recommend for either couples or a family. With three bedrooms the condo works for both. -Keith
