Aloha,
This peaceful cottage is perfect for couples or close friends. It has been completely renovated with a mix of modern and vintage amenities. The 1030' sq foot house features privacy yet is still only a 5 minute drive from world class surf beaches. The front porch looks out into a Banana garden while the house is bordered with Sunrise Papaya, Areca palms and exotic clumping bamboos. Flowering plants include Ginger, Hibiscus, Heliconia and Plumeria. Avocado, Kukui nut, Pomelo, and Banyan Trees among others produce fresh air to breathe.. Our peaceful setting, Tempur-Pedic mattress, and Hawaiian trade winds are rejuvenating after a hard day at the beach. Hope to see you here!

My husband and I returned a week ago from our stay on the north shore, and we couldn't be happier about the house! It felt like our own little retreat in Oahu. I loved having a full kitchen and washer and dryer at my convenience. The upstairs loft bedroom was perfect, and being able to BBQ toped it all off. My only complaint (besides the rain!) was the chainsaws from the landscapers next door cutting down trees. Other than that everything was incredible. ps: there was a small family pigs running around at night; a little unnerving at first, but after a couple of nights I hardly noticed them.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the A-frame for three nights in February when the waves on North Shore were huge. The house was perfect for us and the bed was SO comfortable---made us think about changing to a tempurpedic mattress at home! Clean, quiet and would love to return. Thank you Todd! We absolutely loved this cottage in the hills. The attention to detail inside and outside the house was impeccable- all the furniture, appliances, bedding, etc. meshed perfectly with the architecture of the house. A great escape from the busy beach activity down the hill, you feel like you are in your own private peaceful jungle- banana and papaya trees, cooler temperatures, beautiful birds. Especially loved the surfboard rack in the living room, the outdoor shower, washer and dryer, louvered windows, Hawaiiana quilts and knick knacks, and basically everything else about this A-frame- especially Todd and his baby greeting us with a Papaya! Easy access to all famous North Shore beaches and breaks, Foodland, and, most importantly, Ted's Bakery! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Mahalo Todd!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

i was lucky enough to live here for 3 1/2 months and i was very very sad to leave. the property is lovely & peaceful and surrounded by fruit trees. just up the road from waimea bay and all the conveniences of town but tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. my favorite part of the house was the bedroom...so cozy & quiet. the landlord is great and will provide you with whatever you need. the house is pretty stocked so you won't be asking for much, but it is nice to know that it is constantly maintained. great place to stay for a week or a month!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I grew up on Oahu, but my boyfriend from Philadelphia had never been to the islands. So, we rented Todd's cabin on Pupukea Road for a week and LOVED every second of it. You get the best of what Haleiwa and Oahu has to offer. Beautiful beaches are minutes away and the quaint, quiet environment of the cabin is exactly what you want after a day of surfing or lying out, or driving back from a day in town. Get it while you can : )Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I can't recommend this home more strongly. I have stayed in four other North Shore properties before now, and none came anywhere close to matching the perfection that we found in Todd's place. We are already planning to return! Why? Because the place was so peaceful. So 'light' and yet so private from the road. So quiet, and yet the sound of the birdsong and the wind in the trees was so calming. The facilities in the house were everything you could ever ask for. The location, tucked away in the hills, was so secure. And yet we had internet access, TV, radio and connection with the outside world as and when we needed it. And, in Todd, an owner who had all the answers to every question and was so helpful with his advice and tips. Honestly, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. To me, this property is just the best.Owner response: Thanks for the words David. You did not even mention that you visited during a biblical rainstorm, but glad to hear that you are planning a return.

I have been coming to the island for the past five years, and this is by far the best house I have ever stayed in. As my partner, Jan, says, it is incredibly private, secure and with everything you could possibly want from a holiday home. Scott is great, and couldn't have been more helpful, and full of great advice. We have had a very, very enjoyable stay in a home that feels like a home. Simple brilliant.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
