The Region of Abruzzo is one of the few areas of Italy that still remains unspoiled. Crisp, clean mountain air with spectacular views all around, the village is located in the National Park of Sirente-Velino.
Our restored and modernized Townhouse is located in the centre of Gagliano Aterno, on a street lined with mature chestnut trees. The village dates back to the 14th Century in parts. The balconies of our house offer a bird's eye view of a medieval castle that has hosted Italian royalty, St. Francis of Assisi and Sophia Loren. There are many other quaint medieval villages and towns to explore in the immediate area. Many Festivals and local celebrations to enjoy all summer.
Only one hour away is the holiday city of Pescara which boasts beautiful beaches on the Adriatic sea, excellent shopping and outstanding restaurants (especially if you like freshly caught fish). |
