This house is wonderfully located for families or for those who want to have a relaxing summer vacation. Located on a quiet side street in Sodus Point, New York (between Rochester and Syracuse and 30 miles from the Finger Lakes) it is approximately 100 yards from Lake Ontario.
The 4-bedroom house is a two-minute walk from the Sodus Bay Public Beach and the quaint downtown of Sodus Point, which has restaurants/bars, a new playground, and a skateboard park. For those seeking more adventure, there are plenty of boating and fishing opportunities (rentals available locally), including a public boat launch, small boat rentals (kayaks and canoes, slips available for renting (we can help set up ahead of arrival).
Also in the immediate area, is an outlet shopping center (a 30 minute drive), the Finger Lakes wine trails, the Finger Lakes horse racing track and casino, several local antique shops, Sunday concerts at the Sodus Bay Historic Lighthouse, museums, hiking, and much, much more. So whether you want to park and walk around all week, or explore the area, it is all within an hour's drive!

I have stayed at this property for three years and it is the perfect location for my friends and I. We can walk everywhere - to restaurants, shops, and beach amenities. It is very relaxing and enjoyable whether in the backyard grilling or on the beach sunbatheing. The cottage is very cozy and is equipped with everything needed for cooking, tv watching or reading. We always feel we are "home" when we are there. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful for any concerns and I would recommend this property as the perfect location and getaway. We always look forward to coming back.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

My friends and I have stayed at this cottage for three years now, and I can't say enough about it. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly as are all the neighbors on the street. Location is perfect, quiet street, but within walking distance of the town's restaurants, shops not to mention the beach is only 3 doors from the cottage. Sunsets seen from the backyard are truly beautiful. The cottage itself is clean, very roomy and comfortable. Comes equiped with every thing you need if cooking is your thing - it is with us. We are returning again this year and are looking forward to it very much!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband, kids and grandkids have stayed at "Nanny's Blue House" for the last three summers and are looking forward to this summer as well. It's location is the perfect mix of Lake Ontario and Sodus Bay - suitable for all aged children. We feel like one of the neighborhood and always are anxious to return. The house is equipped with everything neccessary for a family vacation. Just bring food and relax. We love evenings by the fire pit and watching the beautiful sunset over the lake. The older kids are able to safely walk into town for ice cream, a baseball game or skate boarding. The owners are wonderful and very accessible, if need be. Can't say enough........
