Lezzeno is a nice village on the shores of Lake Como, on the way from Como to Bellagio( 6 kms. from Bellagio). With its many hamlets scattered along the shore of the Lake and at the foot of the mountains, Lezzeno is also a renowned residential centre. At the end of the village, on the last stretch of road before Bellagio, you can see the "Sassi Grosgalli". These are scenic cliffs that jut out over the lake and they are full of crevices caused by the erosion of the waters.
We know that the area was already inhabited in Roman times from a fragment of a tombstone slab in the wall of the parish bell tower with an inscription from the 1st-2nd century A.D.
The church of S.Quirico and S.Giulitta was built in the 16th century but was subsequently renovated, Oratorio della Madonna dei Ceppi dates back to the 14th century.
Antica Strada Regia: before the main road was built this path connected Como to Bellagio. Restored last year,the path is clean and well maintained with lots of signs to show the way. Wonderful views can be enjoyed from here.
These two apartments are located in a lake front villa which delivers wondrous views and a chance to sample life in a typical Italian village. The living room and the kitchen, all the bedrooms, the furnished patio and the garden enjoy this non stop view.
The larger apartment ( 120 sqmt) for 6-8 people has got a Kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, 4 fires, electric oven, coffee machine, microwave; sitting - dining room with table and chairs, two sofas, satellite TV, fireplace and a balcony overlooking the lake; three large bedrooms all with a gorgeous lake view: two double (one with a balcony overlooking the lake) and one twin that can become double. Two bathrooms: one with shower, and the other with bathtub.
There is another smaller apartment (60 sqmt) for 2-4 people in the villa.
The living room and the kitchen, the furnished patio and the garden enjoy a gorgeous non stop view. Kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave oven, 4 fires, oven, coffee machine; sitting - dining room with table and chairs, one sofa- bed , satellite TV, fireplace and a balcony overlooking the lake; one large and airy bedroom and one bathroom with shower.
Outside there is a lot of green space, a private secure car parking, a garden near the villa and a shared garden directly on the lake with tables, chairs,leaning chairs and a barbecue, a direct access to the beach and the lake in which you can swim or fish.
A Crib is available on request.
To shop for groceries and consumables there are several small grocers, fruit stores and butchers along Lezzeno's main road. There are also some restaurants and pizzerias where you can find a list of the typical dishes of these area: popular first courses are different types of risottos and pasta and for second courses lake fish as well as meat are a popular choice. Within a 5 minutes walk, one of the most famous lakeside restaurant of the area serves up typical Italian dishes. They also offer a water skiing school. An in town sports complex offers a swimming pool and a tennis court. Just 300 yards away is a boat service with motorboats for hire. The bus stop is 80 yards away, while boats and hydrofoils leave and arrive from the landing stage, 1.5 km's away.
The owner who speaks English fluently, rents directly the apartments and is on hand to answer any questions and to provide you with information about the area.

During our stay we created many enjoyable long lasting memories for our family. Lezzeno, Como, Bellagio and all the quaint little towns were just beautifull. We loved the way each town seemed to just tumble down from the hilltops. I loved noticing how every flower, fruit tree and vine seem to flourish everywhere, adding to the charm of the ancient stone.
We loved every second here. We will always remember this fabulous week on Lake Como. You have a wonderful apartament with beautifull views. It was a very special vacation.
