Nice Getaway Location

Stayed here with friends over the summer. Close enough to many activities in the Lake Lure area as well as Ashville, but far away enough to be a true getaway. The upstairs is such a nice contrast from the downstairs it felt like being in two places. The owner is really personable and took great interest in ensuring that we were comfortable. I would surely go back.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

clean, open, spacious house, forest setting, with views of the nearby mountains. Well-located, well-appointed. Things I loved were the greatroom on the lower floor with large-screen TV and entertainment bar, open, well-equipped kitchen, and excellent location. Good restaurants nearby and a good library where one can check email and surf the net. Near beach and lake facilities. Had a wonderful week there. Will return. High recommendation.

I like this place since years. It is so easy to relax and to get lost in time here. Love the area and the freindly pople down at the "Mountain Branch" library. Like the little beach at Mirror Lake. Asheville and Hendersonville are nice towns for shopping and dining out, not to far away by car.

My family and I have stayed at this property a few times now and have been very satisfied. This property offers everything a small family is looking for in a stay in the Lake Lure area. The mountain view is nice and the property offers room to roam. Upstairs and down, inside and out, this home and site offers variety for the entire family. The deck and the screened in porch offer options for outside activities. The separate quarters upstairs and down and good for privacy within families traveling or for couples. This property is close enough to town for activities but offers quietness of an out-of-town setting. All necessities are provided and the owner is very accommodating. This home could easily suit 6-8 people and is an overall nice place to stay.

Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your house. It was very quiet, restful and relaxing. We have stayed in a number of vacation properties over the years, and one thing that struck us was that your house was so inviting-----it was as if it was set up for friends coming to visit-- a very "welcoming" place. We just wish our schedule would have allowed us to stay longer, but maybe next time. The leaves are very muted this year, and the recent rains didn't help this situation any.The apple growers also had a disappointing season, but we did find a few good ones to bring home. Lake Lure has dramatically changed since we were last there eons ago---there's a lot more going on, and we look forward to going back.
