The Lodge was big enough for our entire family. We loved staying rght in town so everyone could go do their own thing when ever.Very convientent location to shopping and skiing. Once I parked the car we never drove it till we left. I love to cook and was very excited to use the remarkable old stove they had. Cooking and baking at that elevation was a challenge to say the least. Had a hard time holding temp in the oven. The griddle was a treat to use with a large group, but hard to clean with just water. The XL fridge & freezer were VERY helpful! House was very clean, but not well stocked with tissues, TP or trash bags. I had to make several calls to owners or go to the market. House was always warm, somtimes too warm. Diane & Fred were helpful when I called though. I would definitely stay again and recommend the Lodge to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our Spring Break group was large and filled up the entire Mtn Stream Lodge. It was perfect for our high school senior group. Once we arrived, there was no more driving as everything was accessible - walk to the lifts, ski down from the mountain, and residing right on main street. The parents on the trip had private accommodations in the guest rooms, and the kids were able to gather in the living space and dining area. Everyone was happy and had a great time. Accommodations like this really make a difference. We would all stay here again given the convenience of the location. Pretty much beats out all the on mountain options given the proximity to the gondola and main street!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

What a fantastic place to stay! We had such a fun time in Breckenridge and this place is not only in a beautiful setting on the river with the mountains in view but convenient as well. We were only a few steps from Main Street and an easy walk to the gondola. Very clean rooms, comfy beds, and it was very easy for us to cook as well as relax. We will be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

This lovely place was just right for our family! It has a grand, but cozy feel! And, everything that we needed was available and helped our stay to be easy and fun. The location is incredible; we walked to the gondola, hiking trails, the town visitor center, art galleries, shopping, and restaurants. It was a wonderful week! I thank the hosts for their kindness and thoughfulness.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Our vacation at Mountain Stream Lodge was awesome. I could not ask for a more friendly, enjoyable, and scenic place to stay. With the best location in Breckenridge: just off Main Street, backing up to the river and beautiful mountain views, we would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to come back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

I spent a week this summer with my family in Breckenridge at Mountain Stream Lodge and it was THE perfect vacation. We had all ages with us on the trip and the gorgeous barn accommodated everyone! You can't beat the location - it's on Main Street and we walked to all the shops, road the gondola for free up to the mountain where there are a ton of activities (it is literally in the backyard) and cooked every night in this amazing kitchen - we ate outside on the back deck that's on the river. I can't even explain how wonderful it was falling asleep with my window open listening to the rushing sounds of the river in the back. And waking up to the best view in the town of the gorgeous mountain peaks! The rooms are incredibly comfortable - so well decorated, comfortable beds, great bathrooms (especially the showers) and large eating areas and family rooms. I can't wait to come back next summer! Highly recommend this spot to ANYONE looking to vacation in Breckenridge!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

Plenty of room for everyone - and the owners, Fred and Diane have done such a lovely job of making the Barn comfortable and inviting - even providing a beautiful, decorated Christmas tree!! Owner info
About the owner: We built the timberframe Mountain Stream Lodge in 1997 beside the Blue River, in character with Breckenridge's Historic District. The setting is our dream come-true....being alongside the river, mountain views and river sounds. We relish the quiet yet convenience of being able to walk everywhere...taking advantage of the small town amenities without driving! We have been residents of Breckenridge since 1987, enjoying an active lifestyle of skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, camping, fishing and visiting family and friends. You will find Diane's oil paintings for sale at Arts Alive Gallery in Breckenridge. Fred is an active rafter, always wanting an early season so that he can raft with his 'river rat' friends. When the ski season comes to an end, we go the gorgeous beach in the Panhandle of Florida. We love sharing the town with family and friends. There is so much to do in beautiful Breckenridge for every age! Take a trip and see what we are talking about! Stay at Mountain Stream Lodge for your mountain vacation! Yours truly, Diane and Fred
