La Casita de Aguada was awesome. If a friend were traveling to Puerto Rico and wanted to stay on the West Coast, I would absolutely recommend this house to them. It is a well-equipped and well-priced option. My friends and I had an absolute blast and this house was a great home base for exploring. If you are not a surfer, I wouldn't recommend this particular beach for leisurely swimming. The locals said the waves were unusually high while we were there, but even so the beaches south in Cabo Rojo were awesome and perfect. I slept very comfortably each night without A/C and despite the roosters and pups who sometimes liked to make themselves heard. The property itself was clean and well-maintained. Victor, the property manager, was very nice, helpful and easy to get a hold of. All-in-all a great stay! We will be back!

Hi Valerie & Victor (and family), Thank you very much!!! We really enjoyed our stay at La Casita de Aguada. Since our first contact with you, we felt that you and also the property manager Victor (and his family) are customer service oriented. We really appreciated your availability and friendship. The house was really clean when we arrived and everything was in order. Specially, we wish to thank you for allowing us to have our dog with us, she also enjoyed a lot. We will recommend for sure your property to our family and friends. La Casita de Aguada is definitely a great alternative for the ones that are looking for a relaxing place to stay in the west coast of the island. Thank you very much!!! Pedro & Carmen Puig (and Blondie)

Everything was exactly as advertised. The house is located in a non-touristic neighborhood, the beach is 2 min walk and very quiet. Valerie was very accommodating and Victor was also available and very helpful. Rincon and Aguadilla are very close and are nice places to visit. There are many great restaurants also, and there are supermarkets close by if you want to shop and cook. The kitchen could use little more utensils to cook, but main things were there. The house was clean and well maintained.

This rental would easily accommodate 6 people, but we were just 2. We totally enjoyed our stay and enjoyed soaking up the local flavor. The beach was just a short walk. The night skies were amazing. The property was clean, well maintained, and very well supplied.. Everything was as described. Victor and Iris and Valerie were very accommodating. One can shop locally in Aguada and BBQ and cook at the house. With a little exploring, there are very interesting and tasty local restaurants on TripAdvisor and the APP infopaginas for those with iphones and ipads. Travel books are right on the coffee table in the living room. Just turn off the main roads for dinner or drinks near the water, often in the most unlikely places. The local beaches took a hit from Sandy so watch the high tides! Rincon and Aguadilla are a short drive away. These are great surfing beaches, if that is your thing. I could watch the ocean all day. Just go and relax on the beach. I highly recommend this place but I don't want to give too much praise or we may not get a spot the next time we want to come down!

The area is wonderful with the beach so close, and the amenities are great. I only wish the sheets were cotton instead of polyester, but other than that, the place is great. Also didn't know that laundry cost $4 a load, but that wasn't a big deal. Valerie is wonderful and Victor was available and helpful. Overall, a great place.

I was looking for a Hotel in the area , but couldn't find one with 2 rooms available. So my wife said maybe they have houses for rent. That's how we found " La casita de Aguada" it was Clean, relaxing and close to the beach! The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and with a/c. Had cable and wireless internet. Victor and Iris (The managers) were very friendly and spoke Spanish and English. We had clean large grill outside and an outside table to eat, play cards or dominoes (It has cards and a beautiful chess set too). It has a full kitchen dining room and living room Aguada is a beautiful peaceful town and the people are very friendly. I'm never getting a Hotel again. PS. hotels are more expensive if you're getting more than 1 room. I might just buy a vacation home in the area. :) Enjoy Aguada! Like Arnold used to say "I'll be back!"

The property manager was very helpful getting us to the location after a miserable day of travel. Local beach was nice with very few other people at the time we were there. House was beautiful in a residential neighborhood. Outside shower was fun and we used covered padio alot. The beautiful tile floor kept the house cool and the A/C kept us comfortable. The neighbors were friendly and some of the poorer families had horses on property. Located near Rincon which has a lot of American residents. West side of the island is more countryside and small town areas as opposed to the craziness of San Juan. Wait until you hear the lovely song of the islands Coqui frogs at this countryside get-a-way.

With short notice we were able to comfortably rent The Casita de Aguada. After a miserable travel day on US Airways and no cars at Enterprise, the property manager was a tremendous help getting us safely to the property. Everything was clean and well equipped. Wish we had a heads up about the night time frog serenade. But everything was great, friendly neighbors and close to Rincon which had many activities for us.

My husband and I stayed at La Casita for four nights and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area very much the house was bigger and nicer than the pictures show. Our host was very helpful and even came and met us when we took a wrong turn finding the home. It is a very short walk to the beach in a nice neighbor hood. The home was very clean and had everything you need to cook with, including spices which are usually not in most rental homes. If you like exploring a part of the real Puerto Rico this is a good and safe location for a home base. I would stay here again because of the location close to Rincon and many other west end spots.

The house was very clean, nice furniture. Kitchen was equipped with pots & pans. the bedrooms were large. The owner was very helpful. I would recommend renting this property. The photos are accurate. Surfing, collecting shells, walks along the beach. Restaurants a few blocks away from the house and a nearby grocery store. Quiet neighborhood.

The house is located in a rural neighborhood between aguada & rincon. Quite spacioud, well-kept, & victor (property manager, lives next door) couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Though not listed on the property information, wireless internet is available & very useful for travel planning. Several goof restaurants & beaches nearby.

The house is located half block from the beach, so even if you plan to do some activities during the day it is easy to go for a fast dip before you leave and then after you are back. The plus of the beach is that it is not at all crowded; the minus is that there are big rocks in the water so you should be careful entering the ocean; also this side has waves so jumping the waves or surfing works best. For a casual swimming in calm waters there is a public beach 5 min drive. Withing 5-10 min drive there are a few grocery stores where you can buy all the food you need which is very convenient; Puerto Rican food tastes very good. Also on PR-115 (2 min drive) there are different kiosks and cafes with prepared food, like grilled whole chicken for $5, if you don't feel like cooking yourself. The neighborhood is not upscale, you can see some rather poor families, and you can see nice places. The locals are nice, they smile and say hello; men can invite men for drinks. The house conveniently located to go to caves or rain forest nearby; this side of the island is less touristy and you get in touch with local life more. The house has shutters that we close for the day so the heat does not come in, and in the evening we opened everything up to stay through the night and get fresh air; so in December we didn't use AC. The house is nice however the appliances are a bit dated and some don't work, like a toaster, and there was no working tea-kettle. Something wrong are with the circuits so the tv/dish periodically restarts which is annoying; and when too many things are plugged in the lights turn off. The owner know about that and tries to get this worked out with the electrician.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from San Juan and all the hustle and bustle. We ended up picking La Casita de Aguada because it was so near Rincon (my boyfriend surfs) yet seemed peaceful enough. And peaceful it is. Right next to the water down friendly neighborhood-strewn roads. Aguadilla is a short drive for groceries and such, there's a bar with a pool table a couple blocks away, and a handful of restaurants within walking distance. But about La Casita de Aguada. Clean and charming, we felt like we were living in the Puerto Rican countryside. Lizards scampering about, banana trees hanging over us, yet still enough hot water and clean towels to not be fully off the grid. There was a TV with satellite too but we ended up spending more time at the beach than watching it. The rooms are spacious and we certainly could have enjoyed the house comfortably with another couple. At night we hung out on the patio playing cards and drinking the local brew, Medalla Light. There was very little light or noise pollution to interrupt our view of the stars. Overall, the property was very nice, the neighborhood just what we were looking for, and the beach beautiful!

La Casita is a pure delight, great neighborhood, clean comfortable house, plenty of yard and the property manager is outstanding. Getting to the house was a small challenge as I became lost on the way; however, the local property manager guided us to the property, which required him to stay up until 1am. The beach is truly only a few steps from the house, with miles to go in either direction. The sand is white and clean, and there were several spots where we picked up some beautiful sea-glass. Mostly we had the beach to ourselves, with an occasional fisherman. There are small restaurants only a few blocks away and even more variety if you go into the city-center. When we left we were refreshed and at peace. There is no doubt that we will stay at La Casita again! Great location: even greater people! Oops, I almost failed to mention that Victor (Property mgr.) and Valerie (Owner) are a charm to deal with; they make you feel like family!

Let's start by saying, the neighbors are reason enough to go back to stay at La casita not to mention the owners! We had the BEST vacation of our life. This is the 3rd time we have visited PR, 1st time on the west side. I will NEVER stay anywhere else! The beaches on the west side are 100 times better. The locals are way more hospitable than the east side. La Casita is an enjoyable well equipped house just a block and 1/2 from the beach. If you do not stay here, you are missing a real treat. Fresh bread store 2 blocks away! Best way to describe this is WOW!

All I have to say I found the perfect place to go away from everything, the house is great. All you need to stay there is your clothes and food, the house has everything, and if you need somthing else just ask Mildred and Junior they'll help you out. When you get to the beach is just amazing the calm and clear water. If you are looking for a good place to stay do not hesitate and go to la casita

First off, I would like to say this is absolutely a steal. I arrived on April of this year and was met by the property manager, who was, with his family, absolutely wonderful. This first thing I did after I got my car from Allied Car and Truck Rentals, in Aguada, was go and get groceries from the local supermarkets ( Mr. Especial & Pitusa). You really need to drive when you come to PR. All the sites are in remote areas. The house was beautiful. The air conditioner will definitely keep you cool. It is very clean, has everything you need as a vacation home, and is very, very cozy. What struck me was the complete lack of insects, i.e., flies, spiders, etc. There are plenty of small lizards outside which probably feed on any insects. The yard has grapefruit, mango, lime, banana and coconut trees. At the time I was there most fruit was just maturing. You have DirecTV (in Spanish) but, there are plenty of English speaking stations, including the major five networks. The beach is about 150 yards up the road. Most of the time I was there the surf was pretty strong for swimming, however, there were two days where it was calm enough do do some serious snorkeling. As stated by the owner, the neighborhood is rural. Being an old country boy this was a warm welcome to me now that I am living in NYC. The temperature was 80-85 during the day and 75-80 at night. As I said, a beautiful place to call home. You will need GPS to move around, especially if you do not speak some Spanish. The eight days I was there I traveled from one end of the island to the other. Purto Rican driving is unlike anything I have experienced but, fun. I went from the Rainforest on the East coast to the Mayaguez zoo on the West. From Crashboat Beach on the Northeast Coast to the El Parguera Bioluminecent Bay on the Southwest coast. Arecibo Observatory was beautiful and the many Lighthouses along the coastlines were breathtaking. I still had many places left unvisited when I left. I will be coming back. I would love to tell anyone wishing to come to PR about this vacation home and my experiences in PR. Please call.

I STAYED AT "LA CASITA" ON JULY 4TH FOR 2 WEEKS AND IT WAS AWESOME. I STAYED WITH HUSBAND AND 2 CHILDREN AGE 9 AND 5. THEY LOVED IT AND IT DOES FEEL LIKE HOME AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS WORTH IT. "LA CASITA" IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND IT'S VERY COMFORTABLE TO STAY IN. IT KEEPS YOU COOL AT NIGHT AND DAY. I GIVE IT FROM 1-10 A 10+++. IF WE GO BACK TO PUERTO RICO I WOULD DEFINATELY STAY THERE AGAIN. ANYBODY THAT IS CONSIDERING THIS HOUSE AS A VACATION SPOT, TRUST ME ON THIS.....TAKE IT!!! MORE PEOPLE SHOULD COMMENT ON THIS HOME BECAUSE I KNOW ALOT HAVE STAYED AND HAD A GREAT TIME. THEY SHOULD SHARE THE WEALTH!! TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS!

We were very pleased with the Casita. We had everything that we needed, it really is just a hop skip and a jump down from the beautiful beach which is pretty much empty the majority of the time. The tiled patio outside was very nice for relaxing and eating evening meals. The beds were very comfortable, nice large towels in the bathrooms, AC worked great. Everything about this house was just charming. The property manager lives next door and that is a blessing in itself as well. It was like having our own personal tour guide to show us all the ins and outs of the island. Next time we are in Puerto Rico there is no question at all as far as where we will be staying.
