This vacation rental is amazing! There's plenty of room for a few families or just a nice group to be comfortable. Big bay windows in the front open up onto a patio terrace which is great for your morning coffee. All amenities are available such as, Laundry, Cable, wifi, etc......even a back patio with a hot tube. There's one parking spot on the property, but plenty of street parking available. It's very close to everything Los Angeles has to offer & the owners were a dream. If you are looking for a place to have a great getaway, you can stop looking......You found it :)
Owner response:Hello Guest, I am so happy you loved the flat. Thank you for taking the time to write me an amazing review. I hope you find your way back to LA again, we would love to have you. Return guests get a nice discount; especially, when they write such a sweet review!

In English : Lovely unit in L.A. You are note far from every where : Universal Studios, DownTown, Griffith Observatory... You will get large bedrooms well equipped, 2 bathrooms and a huge dining room with a TV set. We were 7 people in this unite and it has been great. Just may I write it will be difficult to park a compact car as SUV in the park lane behind house. It's a very quiet place with a beautiful view from the street on the Downtown center in L.A. I recommand this rent for every body with a family. I think go back in L.A in his unit next time. Morever I would like say thank you to the owner beacause always available with Internet and e-mail for any question (before and after departure!!! Even during stay...) On pouvait même y mettre 8. Je recommande cette location à 100% et je pense, un jour, y retourner. Je remercie aussi la propriétaire pour sa disponibilité par mail ou téléphone avant le séjour mais aussi pendant!!! Yohann

Several buddies and I flew down from Seattle for a weekend getaway in Los Angeles. We stayed in this apartment and it was affordable, gorgeous and incredibly convenient for our activities! Deanna was wonderful to work with leading up to our visit (answering about a gazzillion questions from me!), and we really felt like the place was our own. We were a group of guys, but I'd stay in this place again with anyone, be it family or friends. While my two year old didn't join us on our trip, I could see this being a wonderful place for families to stay. The twin bunk bed room would be great for siblings. There are also a ton of fun "at home" activities available in the apartment - lots of board games, etc. We rented a big mini-van that was tough to get in and out of the driveway in back, but finding street parking was absolutely not a problem at all - an added plus in Los Angeles! And despite other guests staying on the property, we felt completely isolated and thought the apartment was very private. I can't speak highly enough for this rental, or for its owner. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Los Angeles! And as I mentioned, the price just can't be beat - cheaper than two nights in a hotel without a doubt. And the kitchen is great and could easily be substituted for expensive dinners out. A wonderful trip made better by a terrific place to stay!

What can I say about this gorgeous 1920s flat. Tall ceilings, bright, well decorated, well maintained. But even more important, the owner is SO responsive, when we broke the coffeepot, she was there within an hour with a new one! Wow! Internet access kicks butt. The shower and bath have great water pressure. The beds were pristine in their cleanliness. The comforter was clean and fresh out of the wash. We're talking high class but with a feeling of a grand Hollywood home. Sleeps 8 people comfortably in great King Beds. Bedrooms very big and its a quiet neighborhood. Right below the Griffith Observatory, in walking distance of the hipster section of LA known as Vermont/Los Feliz neighborhood. I loved my stay so much that whenever I have family in town I have them stay here. Look, I'm a talent agent and when I invite important producers, clients, talent to town to take meetings with me, I always recommend this property and contact Deanna. With Deanna, you get personalized service, great cleanliness without the sterility or impersonal treatment of a local hotel. My group had 3 cars and we all easily found parking. We had one parking spot with the unit, but the street parking was ample. The jacuzzi seats 6 comfortably, the water was clean, and we sat in the bubbling hot water and we could see the city, as well as beautiful tall trees. All the advantages of a cozy home, nature and right in the big city of LA. The rooms have great color, great natural light and feel very breezy. It's also great for taking meetings, impressing your bigwig Hollywood contacts with your grand digs. Do yourself a favor, and stop the headache of shopping around. This is the place. Call Deanna. No need to thank me. Ross

The apartment was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, well-located, and spacious. The photos and descriptive material on VRBO.com were accurate, so we knew exactly what to expect and the only surprises were pleasant ones. The unit was perfect for our group of six (four young adults and two middle-aged adults). Having three king-size (and very comfortable) beds was a real treat! The truly delightful environment added immeasurably to our vacation experience. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone, and we would eagerly stay here again ourselves.

I stayed in this gorgeous apartment with my family (spouse, 2 children and parents in law) and it was just fantastic. It is in a very nice part of LA - safe yet close to many restaurants and facilities. I can whole heartedly recommend the apartment for visitors from outside the USA (we are from Australia) - it has everything that a visitor could need - it is indeed a home away from home. It has full kitchen with dishwasher and laundry with washing machine and dryer - perfect when travelling with children. Thank you to the owner for having us and we look forward to returning.

We had such a wonderful time. Your house is so lovely and comfortable, and the location was fabulous with its proximity to Grifith Park, Hollywood, Staples Center, etc. We also were particularly fond of the safe neighbourhood to walk in and quaint Los Feliz Village, in particular Alcove Café only a few blocks away.

My family and I visited stayed at this lovely home in December 2009. It was perfect for us - myself and partner, 2 yr old and 6 month old and both sets of grandparents. It is indeed a spacious apartment with all of the amenities that one needs when travelling with small children - the clothes washer and dryer were real bonuses. The area is lovely - near the Armenian, Russian and Thai parts of LA so there are plenty of restuarants to choose from. Also, there is a Gelsons supermarket nearby on Franklin Avenue so one can stock up and do cooking at home if one wishes - the double door fridge freezer was fantastic for this. Overall a lovely property and good area. We will stay again when we visit LA next.

This place was absolutely gorgeous, with tons of space. Deanna, the owner was great and helped us out with anything we needed. It’s always nice when the owner lives downstairs. It’s located in a beautiful and quiet area. I have rented many times in L.A, and this was by far the best place in the nicest area. My wife and I couldn’t decide which room to take, since they were all so well appointed. The Jacuzzi and BBQ area is a great touch. We were out a lot, but always looked forward to returning home. Thank you Deanna for a wonderful experience! We will be sure to come back, and recommend to all our friends.

Beautful building, well maintained. Love the old charm of the place, great decor. Nice linens and beds where very cozy. Place was very clean when we arrived. Owner was gracious and easy to work with. My stay in this beautiful flat was absolutely amazing! I, my boyfriend, and 2 friends stayed here and we were surprised at the large space and beautiful decor. We met the owner our first night in and she treated us like family. We were minutes from all of the major LA attractions yet we felt like we were in our own little world. There is a lovely deck where we spent our mornings drinking coffee and evenings gazing at the gorgeous LA lights. We will definitely be returning soon! I would stay here forever if I could! Thank you Deanna for your great attention to detail and for making our stay Absolutely Amazing!

We were a family of five, and chose this flat because of the lovely pictures, few good reviews and ideal location for our needs. The flat indeed is adorable and very spacious. Upon our late evening arrival, we were very surprised to find both bathrooms with no toilet paper and one with no towels, the kitchen had no kitchen towels nor dish washing soap. This is something that should not happen when one is charged a $150 cleaning fee. On our way to look for a supermarket to purchase those basics we met the owner, who brought up some of the missing things and purchased new towels the next morning. Three of the bedrooms are spacious and have big comfortable beds, the fourth is very small and has bunk beds which are (according to my teenagers) mostly uncomfortable (not shown in the pictures). The wireless internet was not working most nights and early mornings (which is when we had some free time for it). The owner has the router downstairs in her flat, so you can only get it reset if she is around. The driveway leading to the back parking was badly paved, a fact which resulted in me falling and hurting myself on the first evening. It was fixed a couple of days later as a result of this fall, as was the broken shower head in the kids bathroom and the missing electric socket cover in our bedroom. We were surprised that after everything that went wrong during our stay, we still had to write and ask for our deposit to be returned to us more than two weeks after our departure. It was promptly returned the next day, with a deduction of the cleaning fee, which in my humble opinion should have been adjusted in our case. All of the above being said, this beautiful and spacious flat is well located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. If you have something bigger than a compact car, you probably shouldnt try and take it down the driveway to the off street parking . And, if you get back after 8:00pm, be prepared to look for street parking more than a few houses away.
Owner response:I am very sorry your that your stay was less than perfect. With vacation rentals, it is near impossible to control everything. Sometimes the housekeepers and handyman miss things and I was not aware of this. I am happy that you mentioned how I rectified everything that was wrong, short of giving you a discount and replacing the matress (which you didn't mention while you were here). I appreciate your review which demonstrates how quickly I try to rectified your problems with my flat, but more importantly you state that the flat is GORGEOUS AND SPACIOUS.

The location of the flat is great! Central to all the major attractions. Comfortably accomodated my family of 8. 3 of the bedrooms had king beds which was perfect! First time I've used a vacation rental and now won't think about doing it any other way. The price was unbeatable for all the space! Thank you, Deanna, for helping to make our 2009 vacation in LA abosolutely perfect!
Owner response:I am so happy you enjoyed my lovely flat. Thank you the sweet review! Deanna

This is a delightful property we all had the most amazing time here! There was nothing missing and all of our expectations were surpassed. It was a trip that we will never forget and we are so happy we were able to spend that time together in this beautiful Normandie home. We had plenty of room for cooking, dining together at the really beautiful dining-room or just relaxing in the cozy-clean living room. All the rooms were spacious and parking was never a problem. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, but you will have all the L.A. attractions 5 minutes away only. A special thanks to the owners of the place Deanne. “IT’S DEFINITELY HOME AWAY FROM HOME” We will definitely recommend your place to our friends. Thanks, Bob

Was really surprised by just how lovely this apartment is. Conveniently located and beautifully decorated. Very liveable apartment. I was really delighted with this apartment and it was the perfect end to our trip. There were 7 of us staying there and we did not feel cramped at all. Very spacious.

I rented this property for my parents and two brothers with partners and babies when they came over from The Netherlands to attend my wedding. They were delighted with the place and said it felt like a home. Very spacious, big kitchen, dining room, living room, bathrooms. Great experience and this way they could all be together and not have to spend time in hotels which they do not like and I can imagine with kids is not ideal. Thanks Deanna!
