The Main house and Guest house ARE ON WAYZATA BAY - Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota. We are the ONLY HOUSE FOR RENT ON WAYZATA BAY, but others say they are on Wayzata bay, but if you check them on Google - they are not on Wayzata bay. Wayzata Bay is the only Spring Feed lake on Lake Minnetonka - so CLEAR WATER, NO WEEDS and close to downtown Wayzata.
The Main house is a 4 bedroom , 3 bathroom house with 2 boat docks (up to 30' boat) and is located on the South shore of Wayzata Bay. The house is only 35 feet from the water so we have GREAT VIEWS with EASY ACCESS to our docks (NO HILLS or LONG WALKS).
We have a MAIN FLOOR BEDROOM, and Our Beach has a SANDY BOTTOM and NO WEEDS - Great for Swimming. The yard is flat and 225 feet long, and its on a dead end street, which is quiet and safe for the kids to play.
The GUEST HOUSE (BRAND NEW) is a 1 bedroom house complete with full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom w/Queen bed and living room with Queen size sofa/sleeper, Washer/Dryer, 42' TV/LCD HD DVD and WiFi internet (Comcast Business service) for faster internet/Video's, and its own dock for a boat up to 25'. Granite Counter tops in Kitchen & Bathroom with 14' Ceilings with Leather furnitue, office desk and a BBQ looking over a great flower garden area.
We're 1 minute to Downtown Wayzata and all the restaurants, a short ride to Excelsior by boat or car for more of the same. These two cities are where most boaters/summer activities are. 1000 yards away is the intersection of Hwy 101 & Minnetonka blvd for the Best food stores, Restuarants, and other services. Wayzata Bay is one of the popular lakes for water skiing.
The other locations on Lake Minnetonka are 20-35 minutes farther away from these two cities. Our House is on the south shore of Wayzata Bay in the best area for docking sail/power boats (up to 30 feet) because its protected from the normal Southwestern winds and power boat traffic - NO LOUD BOAT TRAFFIC (No Wake Zone). No waves or wind which keeps the boats protected from large waves at the dock. Wayzata Bay is the only Spring Feed lake on Lake Minnetonka so the water is clear and no weeds.
Our location, allows boaters to get to the BEST SUNSET LOCATIONS (Robinson's Bay) on lake Minnetonka in about 4 minutes. Its easy to get to this sunset location each night without a long trip over the water. I have been doing this on the lake for 25 years.

I stayed in the smaller guest house on the property with my friend just after a major upgrade to the house. The smaller house is clean, spacious, light and efficient as you can see in the last pictures which show it. The bedroom side is quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is easy to use and features many items needed. The entertainment and main living area is enjoyable and well set up. The location of the house is very convenient to shopping and yet in a quiet area. Access to the lake is very convenient. This is one of the best bays of the lake. Overall, this is a very enjoyable experience and great way to be on Lake Minnetonka. Thanks, Scott- I'm looking forward to next time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Jack - I had fun remodeling the Guest house to 100% Brand new, because the new 14' ceiling and New appliances, Cabinets, Granite Counter tops in both Kitchen and Bathroom, 42" TV Comcast/HBO/Showtime and fast internet makes this house great for short vacations or all summer long. New windows and track lighten in the ceiling was fun to do. Enjoy the lake and boating.

Scott, Thanks for letting me stay at your house because the location is the best. We enjoyed the new furniture, TV/Stereo and kitchen equipment for us to cook each day. Overy the last 8 years I have been renting my 3 other homes in Naples Florida to people by the week. After all this time I have learned what people want and expect. Its mostly: pictures to show everything, clean everywhere, and new and high quality furniture. About the owner: I had to wait 15 years to buy this house because they never come up for sale on Wayzata bay. Wayzata bay, on Lake Minnetonka is close to the city of Wayzata and downtown Minneapolis. Everything you want to buy, like food etc. is just 1/2 mile away. Wayzata is a spring feed lake so its clear and no weeds - great for swimming. I have been renting this house for only 1 year, but I have been renting out my other homes in Naples, Florida for 8 years so I am organized and know what people want when on vacation. Everything you would ever want is at the house because its my main house and I left everything in place to use: 50' Plasma TV (2) new furniture, BBQ and all the linen and kitchen equipment you'll ever need. You can reach me when anything goes wrong.
Why the Owner Chose Wayzata:
Wayzata bay is the best location on Lake Minnetonka. why? Spring feed clear water, no weeds, and its got low speed (no wake zone)traffic, all close to the city of Wayzata. Wayzata bay is close to Hwy 101/Minnetonka Blvd where all the shopping is: grocery stores, resturants, hardware stores, excercise clubs, gasoline and wine shops/on/off sales. the regional mall is only 2 miles away and the best golf courses (public) in all of Minneapolis 5 miles away (Rush Creek GC). 1 mile to 494/394 which is the freeway circling the city. 20 minutes to the International airport (MSP). this location is beautiful during the month of September for fall colors and great weather. Its a 4 bedroom house with great views over the lake and a quiet street. Boating docks for your rental pontoon or other speed boats you may want to rent. Howard's Point rents the boats and are nice people.
