Miles and miles of beach to explore!!
Located on the southern shores of Prince Edward Island are the Blue Spruces Cottages at Hampton Beach. Overlooking the warm waters of the Northumberland Straight, eleven 2 and 3 bedroom cottages all with water view and private deck are waiting for you when you visit PEI.
You will be mesmerized by the beach stretching as far as the eye can see and then looking off in the distance you'll see the picturesque Confederation bridge as it dips into the horizon... magnificent!
Only 5 minutes away is the quaint village of "Victoria-by-the-sea", which is a must see artisan village. Stroll through the village and find some real island treasures from home made chocolates to antiques. Fresh island cuisine is always in the wind so be sure to Indulge yourself. During lobster fishing you can talk to the fisherman and find all about our island fisheries, going away with knowledge and fresh lobsters. If you don't want to drive to the village walk along the beach from the cottages and maybe take a picnic with you to enjoy as you watch for seals playing in the water or sunbathing on a sandbar.
Blue Spruces cottages are situated in between Charlottetown, the capital of PEI, and Summerside the next largest town. As you explore the island and its towns you will experience the locals who are down right friendly and love to tell you yarns about the island history. There are 29 Golf Courses on the island, many unique fishing harbours and points of land jutting out into the water where the lighthouses stand watch.
Beaches surround the island but why venture off when you have miles of beach right outside your door. Swim, sun, walk or dig clams for your supper or just relax on your private deck and get caught up in the peace and quiet of the area. If you are a bird watcher you'll be surprised to know that PEI has 333 different species and one that fascinates even us locals is the Baldhead Eagle.
