  We just got back from our first vacation to the Florida Keys. We had such a wonderful time and there was so much there to do with our 2 small boys (ages 3yrs & 8yrs). The condo was beautiful, very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed having a separate bedroom/bathroom for our kids. The view of the ocean off of the master bedroom and living room was so beautiful. The pool and beach were both just a short walk from the condo. We were also really impressed with how clean and well maintained the grounds at Ocean Point were. Jim and Julie were great to deal with, they were quick to respond and very helpful. We would definitely rent from them again. While we were there we visited Theater of the Sea where you can swim with dolphins, we went to the Turtle Hospital, the Wild Bird Center, rented a boat for a day on the ocean, and spent many hours of R&R at the pool and beach. My kids learned a ton and we all can't wait to come back. Thank you Jim & Julie!

  My family stayed at this condo the first week of April. What a great place. Everything is as described, but better. This is my first rental that had sand toys for my grandson. The beds are comfortable, decorations top notch, with plenty of space to spread out. A wonderful vacation that I hope to repeat next year.

  We have stayed in several Ocean Pointe condos over the last 10 years, and this was by far the nicest condo we have rented. It is beautifully decorated, has wi-fi included in the room, and all the amenities of home. The view from the living room and master bedroom is spectacular. We had a fantastic stay, and have already booked two more visits in the next 12 months. My highest recommendation!

  My husband and I are very familiar with this area having rented several places in Tavernier over the last ten years. We had never stayed in a privately owned condo/resort, but decided to give Ocean Pointe a try last year. We were so impressed that we decided to return this year. This was our first time renting from this particular owner and we are very happy that we did. Aside from the fact that the owner was very helpful and easy to work with, the condo was exactly what we were looking for. It's in one of the two best buildings with a nice view of the ocean and sunrises and close to the marina/cafe. It is beautifully decorated and we could tell there had been several recent upgrades. We couldn't think of one thing we were missing or needed as everything we could think of was there for our use. We plan on returning next year and will definitely be checking the availability of this condo.

  What a nice property and what a perfect location! We have stayed in many VRBO properties over the last 12 years and this is among the nicest we've seen. The condo is clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and was equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable (from kitchen equipment to beach towels). The view of the ocean is beautiful and the sunrises are amazing. Oceanpointe is in a great location for a visit to the Keys. It is conveniently located between Key Largo & Isla Morada. Key West is only 2 hrs. away and is a nice day trip. The pool is very nice and we enjoyed the short walk to the marina and beach located right on the property. The complex is very quiet and pleasant. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit it again sometime.

  Ocean Pointe is an excellent complex that is very secure, clean and has all the extras like heated pool, hot tub, clean grounds, beachy area and marina. We have stayed here before but in a different privately owned condo. This year we rented from the Bendicks and we were pleasantly suprised by how clean and modern this condo is. Everything you will need for your vacation is here for your enjoyment. Full kitchen, coffee maker, even all the extras. We usually have to go out and buy soap and paper products, but this is a very well stocked condo. Love having the washer and dryer as well!! This condo also has a king and a queen, so going with 2 couples is perfect!! Balconies overlooking the ocean are the icing on the cake. Wonderful location---easy to get to Largo, Everglades, Key West or the beautiful Keys inbetween. So many exciting things to do right in your backyard. Jim was excellent to rent from and his communication was top notch!! Don't hesitate to rent from the Bendicks--very professional, super clean condo and an awesome vacation home!!

  Overall condo was great! Beautifully appointed and very clean. Wifi worked great. The owner was fantastic to work with. Great communication, very professional and courteous through the whole experience. If you are planning to stay in the Tavernier area or at Ocean Pointe, I would recommended staying here. I have stayed in the Keys for many times over many years and this is one of the best rental experiences. Thanks again!

  Unit is exactly as advertised. Pictures on the listing are real. I was flabbergasted by the owners' willingness to go way beyond the call of duty to make sure my stay was perfect. I will not repeat what all the other reviewers already mentioned, but here are a few items worth noting: As of June 2012, tennis courts have just been resurfaced. Haven't tried them, but I guess they should be in great shape. Just before I got there, the owners had a brand new micro-sound system installed. It sounds great, and you can plug pretty much any device you may think of, via the iPod connector, an aux input or a USB port. Also got a new ADSL Internet connection, that you can used both wired and wireless. Had my iPad, so I only used the WiFi, and throughput was great, better than expected. Central A/C works really well, and the noise level is very acceptable, even with the master's BR door open. I would strongly recommend this place for solo travelers, couples, families with one or 2 children who can share a bed, or inter-generation get togethers. For 2 couples, you should know that the second bedroom is smaller, has no view (view is obstructed by the wall across the hallway), so one couple would be at a disadvantage. If you are looking for a great beach for waves and swimming, this is not the place. Mind you, the Keys at large may not be the place. If you intend to drive up and down the Keys, do some snorkeling, some diving, use the pool and sunbathe on the beach, look no further. This is what you're looking for. And if you come down with your boat, stop looking and start praying that it's available. Ocean Pointe was made for boaters.

  Our family (two college age kids) just stayed for the Memorial Day weekend. The condo was great and beds awesome, very clean and beautiful view. The property is well maintained and perfect if you bring a boat. Building 4 is by far the best location, close to marina and beach, pool and views are great. The location is right between Key largo and Islamorada. We scuba dove in largo and boated in Islamorada. Boardwalk pizza was delicious we went often. We have used vrbo 5 times and are very picky. This is a find and would recommend it to anyone, owner is great to deal with.

  My husband and I just returned from our first visit to the Keys for our anniversary. We arrived on Friday, the owner's very detailed directions in hand, and had no problems with entrance into Ocean Pointe or the condo. The condo, as others have reviewed, is lovely, well maintained and appointed. We especially love the two private balconies and because of the milder temperatures we were able to keep the sliding doors open and enjoy the tropical breezes and the birds. Because we were there on a weekend, the parking lot was full, but honestly we did not hear any neighbors or noise. It was wonderfully private. We did not get a chance to take advantage of the pool or beach, but Ocean Pointe seems like a really nice place to hang out if you're done exploring. The grounds seem well kept and clean. We snorkeled at John Pennekamp State Park, ($9 to get into the park and you have to buy your snorkels), saw lots of fish, etc at the reef. We also took the drive to Key West and had a lovely day to walk around and see the sites. We walked the bridge at Pigeon Key (didn't pay to go to the park) and saw a sea turtle, rays, and a bonnet shark from our vantage point above. We got soaked in the rain that came through, but who cares when you can dry off with the warm breezes! We would highly recommend Sundowners in Key Largo for a sunset meal. We were able to catch a lovely sunset, in-spite of rain most of the day. We had to eat inside, but the service was excellent as well as the food. We would definitely go back. We also had breakfast at Harriet's, don't walk out without a Key Lime muffin, yum! The owners of this condo are a pleasure to work with, very professional and strive for perfection, everything you want in a condo rental. They were quick to respond to questions and very detailed in what to expect. They went above and beyond with us, (even leaving a special anniversary basket with Key's goodies), we would highly recommend this condo. It deserves ALL 5 STARS AND MORE!

  This is a beautiful condo with a wonderful view! The condo was bigger than we expected it to be, but other than was just as advertised. Beds were extremely comfortable. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips (toaster, blender, anything you need for cooking and grilling). Great view! We had coffee on the balcony each morning. Very good restraurants nearby - try Mrs. Mac's! Chad's has great sandwiches and pastries that are out of this world! Owners are great to work with - very easy to work with and very helpful. We absolutely recommend to families, couples - anyone wanting sand surf and sun! The pool is very nice, the beach is nice - I can't think of anything negative about the property or the owners.

  My family stayed in this condo for a week. It was very clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the view from the balcony was a highlight. The pool, beach, tennis courts, and hot tub were all very nice and well-used when we weren't off snorkeling, visitng Key West, and exploring the Everglades. This condo was very nicely situated for mini-excursions, but also had plenty to do when we just wanted to kick back and relax. The owners made this a very easy transaction - I would definitely stay here again when visiting the Keys.

  We had such an incredible time! It was a delightful location and I hope that I will be able to visit again in the near future with my family! The accom. were very comfortable and clean. We had fun reading though the guestbook and even added suggestions of our own, hope that it will be helpful to future guests! We ended up extending our stay last minute with no problems.   This condo is immaculate and very comfortable! We stayed for a week while visiting son and new family in the keys! Feels like home! The rental process, through the owners, could not have gone any smoother! Very impressed with the professionalism of the owners from the initial contact until the returning of the deposit. Would DEFINITELY book this condo again and again!

  This condo is an absolute gem!! Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated/furnished, great kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent showers. This was a father/son trip. I'm in my 50's, and my son is a teenager. Ocean Pointe has a great location on the Keys. Close to both Key Largo and Islamorada, so we could take advantage of all the watersport activities in both locations. Very close to excellent dining and the local supermarket. The resort has a fantastic pool -- large (25 yd, with lane markers), with a shallow end that's great for small kids, but large enough for my son and I to swim and fool around. The condo's owners, Jim and Julie were great. Excellent communication. Smooth rental process. Very helpful once we were in the unit. I've rented vacation condos everywhere from Florida to Hawaii, and this unit was about as good as it gets. Great value, compared to renting a local hotel room or renting a unit directly from Ocean Pointe. Recommended without any reservations. We'll be back.

  This condo is just as nice as it looks from the pictures. The two bedrooms are on either side of the main living area, and each one has a bathroom, so it is a good arrangement for small families. The condo community has fun amenities (big pool, small but nice sandy beach, marina). It is conveniently located near Key Largo, Islamorada and a few different state parks. We enjoyed the amenities at the condo as well as kayaking and snorkeling at nearby parks. The owners were easy to work with and everything was just like they said it would be.

  From the moment we opened the front door to this unit and saw the ocean view through the patio doors off the living room, we knew we made the right choice. This unit is comfortable and cozy. My husband and I enjoyed the master suite with its king-sized bed and ocean view. The bathroom, while modest in size, has an extra area of cabinetry and counter space that was great for keeping things organized. Our 20-year-old niece enjoyed her queen-sized bed and private bathroom. Extra ammenities included the pool and spa and the private beach. We parked ourselves on the beach one afternoon and had that experience just like in those Corona beer commercials. Jim & Julie, the owners, were very caring and made every effort to ensure our stay was pleasant and that we would return. They had a lot of extras stashed in the closets and cabinets -- beach toys, sunscreen and spices. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was because the condo's walls were on the thin side. We stayed during Memorial Day Weekend and Saturday night became a big party scene in units above and adjacent to us. If you're really sensitive to that type of scene, stay away during big holidays. This location was great for us as we made our way up and down the Keys during a short 4-day trip.

  We statyed at the condo for a long weekend as we visited Florida for my cousins wedding. The condo was very clean and comfortable. I would reccomend this place to anyone...I wish we could have enjoyed it more but we were busy doing a lot of sight seeing. Thanks!

  My husband, mother, and I stayed in this condo on a recent trip to Florida. We enjoyed the condo and the complex as a whole. The condo has a GORGEOUS view of the ocean and is clean, updated, and well-stocked with necessities. The complex is safe, well-maintained, and has nice amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and club house. Everything was as advertised and we'd definitely stay again. Thank you!

  This was a father/son trip that was amazing. The condo is right on the water with incredible views of the ocean. Resort has a great pool, grills, boat slots, tons of parking, tennis courts, and a guarded entrance. The two bathrooms really made a difference since my dad and I could get ready at the same time. Paradise, pure and simple. Can't wait to stay here again....Thanks Jim and Julie!!!

  This is a great 2/2 with a nice view. The pool is really nice. We were convienient to everything. The condo is clean and well kept. No bugs! The Master bed is comfortable, didn't try the guest room. The kitchen is nice and has everything you need. It's a good place to get away and relax.

  Just stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a great time! This is a wonderful condo, beautifully redone with classy decor. The owner is easy to communicate with and very concerned that you have a good vacation. There are several delicious restaurants nearby as well as places to fish and snorkel. We can't wait to head back to the keys and we'll definitely stay here again.

  For quite some time, I stopped renting on VRBO because the adverts were not always indicative of the rental property. However, my faith in VRBO is renewed because this condo was exactly as promised. It was wonderful! The attention to detail that James and Julie put into the place really made it a "home away from home". I would highly reccomend staying here.
