Mountain Meadows: a Rare Find in a Spectacular Setting

Our spacious 3500 square foot, 5 bedroom/3.5 bath luxury home is nestled in the beautiful San Juan's of Durango, Colorado with views of the Needles, Spud Mountain, and the Ski Resort. The only sound is the creek rumbling through the property. Wildlife is everywhere. Mountain Meadows is a favorite place for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, in both winter and summer. Local hikes with well marked trailheads are close by, including a 15 minute hike to beautiful waterfalls.

The home is spread across three floors. The bottom floor has 2 bedrooms - bunk beds in one, the other a queen - and a fantastic game room/media room. Enjoy a game of pool or relax watching the big screen TV. The main floor has a gourmet kitchen, complete with a dumb waiter to assist you with groceries or firewood to the second level and living room. In the kitchen, traditionally the gathering spot for most families, there is plenty of seating for all. There is a large dining table with huge windows that provide panoramic views that take your breath away. No living area would be complete without a custom stone, wood-burning fireplace. Relax in the leather sectional and cozy up with a good book and listen to your favorite music with the surround sound throughout the house and on the decks. The forth bedroom is just off the living room; melt into an inviting king-sized bed or step out on the large wraparound deck. The master bedroom, also located on the main floor, features a king-sized bed, wood burning fireplace, and stone tile in the bathroom - luxurious touches everywhere! The upper level is a loft, the perfect kid’s hangout. Three twin beds and a TV, the kids can play cards or one of the many games in the house.

This home is conveniently located 5 minutes from Durango Mountain Resort. Enjoy all that the area has to offer with this luxury home-away-from-home as your base. Silverton, Trimble Hot Springs, shopping or dining, the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad? No problem. All accessible with an easy drive on highway 550.
